3 Cheers for Island Magic! The Island Magician recently performed for my goddaughters' 7th birthday…read moreparty and it was such a fun experience. As a someone of Caribbean descent, it was a unique and heartwarming time. He does a great job of combining children's entertainment with elements of the Caribbean culture including music and tidbits about the islands. Firstly, he arrived on time and set up his equipment with ease. He began his service with balloon shapes which were so cute! He had an array of colors and even had heart shaped balloons. Soon after, he did some face painting. Some of it was reminiscent with the party theme which was Lilo & Stitch. Now for the big fun, he went into a magical performance filled with laughs and amazement. He kept everyone laughing as well as engaged, and the children were eager to participate. In addition, he included prompts for us to say happy birthday and take pics of the birthday girl as she assisted with his tricks. Adults also got a chance to get into the fun. Above all, he was kind and respectful. Although I did not pay for the service, my goddaughter's mom expressed that he provided a good price and value. Overall a great job! I would book his services for myself and I highly recommend to others. It's a "Yah Mon" for Island Magic!

I am EXTREMELY disappointed with my experience with Grayleen. 2 weeks ago I reached out to…read moreGrayleen and had a lovely conversation about a 3 way bday party I was planning for my 1 year old, 4 year old, and husband. I emailed her the date and time and she replied "We are available that date". We spoke on the phone and discussed my plans for the party. We were supposed to meet a week later to discuss a quote, but she rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances with another party she was planning. I agreed to meet her the following week and when I reached out to confirm the day we were supposed to meet, she replied s "I apologize in advance but I was looking at our calendar of events and our schedule is pretty tight". So now 2 weeks have passed where I could've been planning. As an event planner, I assume that before you continue conversations with a potential client you make sure you are available to provide your services on the event date and one of your priorities is to manage your schedule well enough to not put a potential client in this situation. I am writing this review to inform you that it is a possibility that Grayleen may overlook her calendar of events and inform you that she is available when in fact she is not able to provide her services as intended.

There are signs of water damage and peeling paint as another reviewer commented. Some of the toys offered really looked worn down and are in need of replacement. My son did like the ball pit section that you can use the pressurized cannons to do some target practice. The video gaming section was cool for the older kids and adults alike. The legos/ duplo blocks section was also another favorite of my son. The party was strictly 2 hours - one hour to play and the other hour was for eating, cake and some dancing. The young staff was very friendly and interacted with the kids very sweetly. I was a little upset for the momma hosting the party that she was unaware that there was a birthday party immediately following hers, which caused overcrowding when we were trying to park in the parking lot. She was also telling us that the pricing and what was offered didn't match what was previously discussed. I hope she was able to sort everything out afterward, but we didn't feel rushed in any way. Party rooms were color coded and the bathrooms were right outside so there was nothing to worry about there. For children with SPD, there are strobe lights and they play loud music when they were doing freeze dance, so just be aware beforehand. It was alright, but I wouldn't say our experience was over the top of memorable.
