Service was good- usually a decent price and breakfast. Today wasn't as good as normal. 2/3 of us were great- egg and bacon breakfast was fine and the omelette was great. Mine? I ordered the steak and eggs- medium. Steak was well done and so tough it was hard to chew or cut. Came with two eggs and the equivalent of two large potatoes for the fried potatoes. Only the potatoes and onions were refrigerator cold. Like they forgot to heat them on the stove at all. With a small leather steak. The eggs and biscuits were good and it's been a decent breakfast the other 4 or 5 visits in the past. Would I recommend them? Yes, just maybe not the steak and egg meal. Level entrance and easy to negotiate a wheel chair or other equipment. Just standard equipment for tables and such- not fancy, but always very clean. read more

We eat here about once a week and were thrilled that the manager of the New Albany store was taking this one back over. Unfortunately, they need to greatly improve their cooking at this location. The bread is left out, so it gets dry, then when it is toasted, it just crumbles all over you. The biscuits are dry and the potatoes need to be cooked longer. The gravy and sausage don't seem to have enough seasoning. They need to have croissants for the breakfast sandwiches. The service is always good. It's the kitchen that needs to improve. read more

The food is very hood and the price is decent for what you get. The staff is very attentive and friendly. It's such a great place to meet friends and enjoy breakfast or lunch. Highly recommend. P.S. This place used to be in our breakfast rotation, but for one reason or another we stopped comming regularly. In the past two weeks ive been twice, and thats gonna be it. I ordered a meat cand cheese omelet, with sausage it came out slow, cold and packed with a mix of bacon and sausage that appears to have been pulled from the grease trap. What little is there is burned. The service being as slow as it is, i just ate the egg because im not trying to be here for lunch. My toast was served cold, the butter wouldn't even melt. Great food at good prices. When we arrived the line was to the door waiting on seating but it moved fairly fast and boy was it worth it. I had the western omelet with potatoes and biscuit. The all meat inlet looked like feces. The water tasted like pine sol and the BLT bacon was BLACK and disentigrated in your mouth like my grandmums ashes. The toothpicks were the best tasting thing there. The cook was was giving off sus Harley Davidson vibes but other than that it was your average mom and pop remodeled clothing outlet turned wannabe diner that is understaffed and decorated like a porta potty. 10/10 read more

A mid-week, mid-day, big ick! I was okay overlooking the dumpy restaurant, it's very limited menu for people with food allergies/sensitivities including no fresh fruit and a longer wait time due to a staff shortage. However, the food honestly wasn't very good. My steak was overcooked and loaded with gristle. The eggs and potatoes were over-salted to the point of being unhealthy. The biscuit my husband received was pathetic (small and dry with crumbs on the plate). He said he'd be willing to eat at "A Nice Restaurant" again, but I sincerely wouldn't be interested. read more

The food was just okay. It's a small mom & pop type place to eat. You grab a table soon as one is available and it's nothing fancy but it gets the job done. We've been twice in the way to Huber's. The first time I got the sampler, the sausage was good and the bacon was crispy, the eggs were....eggs and the gravy was bland. I will say that the potatoes were good! Quick and easy jaunt off the interstate. Good service. The orange juice is dilute, but the banana pancake special was super tasty, would be nice if they used unsalted butter, the salt almost ruined them. Offer up one, two or three pancakes. My sausage was raw. We waited 15 minutes at our table for literally anyone to come acknowledge us. Didn't get my our food for another 30. This food was horrible honestly. Every bit of it. From the raw sausage to the undercooked potatoes. The best part was when we showed them it we kinda expected to get the meal for atleast half off. No. They took 7 bucks off. Absolutely horrible! It actually makes me give 1 star, otherwise it would be Zero. I walked into the restaurant by myself to grab a quick bite for Breakfast. Completely unpersonable. I order a egg-beater western omelet. When it comes out, it's paper thin and about as greasy as I've ever seen. I thought egg-beaters were supposed to have less of that, I may be wrong... I also ordered a side of sausage which, surprise!!!! It tasted like it was dipped in a fryer then scrubbed on the floor. Horribly customer service! The food is delicious when they cook it right. Usually get take out, always get told a 45-60 min wait. When arriving the food is sitting outside the expo window. Food is usually like warm at best. The quesadilla is good, when they actually toast it on the flat top. We were regulars at the Jeffersonville location before moving to the Knobs. Every time we order I always remind them to cook the quesadilla a little longer. The waitress we've had take our order has rudely said well then just say you want it burnt. Well no I don't want it burnt, but I do want the tortilla toasted and crisp. Not flimsy where the contents fall out. She replied well that's not how it's supposed to be cooked. I really like the French Toast! It is super yummy! It's prepared with their fresh homemade bread.Husband likes their breakfast potatoes. But he doesn't care for their coffee! Service has always been good. We went two different Saturday mornings, one time it was very busy, the next time not so busy. All-in-all a good experience. read more

Maybe I just don't get it because the place was full on a Saturday morning but nothing I ate I couldn't do better at home. First the coffee - more like lightly flavored dark hot water - bleh. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, sometime I seldom order but figured it was a breakfast standard. Was treated to two good sized biscuits bathed in a gooey bland pure white gravy with some sad little bits of sausage floating about. I looked for fresh pepper but only found a shaker - didn't help. Seriously how about a hint of cayenne or mess of sausage - I think the DQ across the street does it better. The order of french toast fared better - four giant hunks of toast covered in an egg bath - nothing spectacular but nothing wrong. Two sunny side up eggs were correct to order. The hash browns were not hash browns - at least the way I understand them - more like soggy skillet potatoes that just were not that good. The bacon was done perfect - crisp and hot. It was reasonably priced but I am not sure it was that reasonable for the quality of good. Service was harried and not really that friendly but the staff seemed to be trying hard just over extended. read more
