I was a tough sad that after 28 years I came to the realization that I'm getting older and my frequent migraines were caused by eye strain and that I would need eye glasses :( There are many boutique eye glass vendors but on this occasion I wanted to go somewhere with a trusted name in the industry (and who wouldn't charge me an arm and a leg for an exam and if needed glasses). I ventured to the Aurora location and made an appointment to have my eyes examined the very next day and when I arrived I was examined by Dr. V Gupta. He was totally professional and efficient, and explained every step of the process so I was comfortable. The verdict came down that I required corrective lenses for distance, night time driving and when working in front of a screen (ah yes...I tend to do that last one a bit being an employee of an internet/social media company). The next step in the process was choosing my "new look" and Ryan the sales guy in the show room was patient and helpful. Taking me through all my options and understanding my slight bit of self consciousness. Prices were fair and I ended up going with a pair of rectangle thick frame Ray bans with Nikon lenses (apparently a superior lens). I was assured that I'd have my glasses within a week (5 days to be specific) however it took nearly 10 days, so for this reason and this reason alone, they lose the extra star. Perhaps it was an issue where the glasses were being made but the extra time without my glasses was not anticipated and frustrating. All in all a great experience and I love my new glasses. Once again I visited the office and was told there was nothing wrong. Knowing obviously that this was not normal, I went to another eye doctor in Barrie and was told the retina had become detached. He sent me to emergency to see the eye specialist on duty. He confirmed my retina had become detached but it was no longer an emergency as it had now gone too far and too long. Had either of the two doctors that I had seen in this office been able to detect a detached retina or offered to refer me to someone who was able, I am told that I would have had a good chance of retaining my 20 20 vision in that eye. After three surgeries, I am left with very poor vision in my left eye. Very disappointed in this office.

Ive found most of them go out of their way to help out with any eyewear situation ive been in. I purchased a pair of glasses here 2 years ago. I received them within the week of ordering, good condition. I ended up stepping on my glasses this year and they were happy to order me a replacement of the same pair I had broken. They honoured the sale they had for 'Buy one get one %off' even though I was not purchasing the lens only the frames. They helped me out alot by doing this as my frames/lens together originally costed at least $800-900. I think I ended up paying $200-250 for the replacements. Anyhow this pair took about a week as well and had new frames/ lens good condition. A month ago I had a problem with contacts I bought elsewhere causing eye pains, so wanted help on different contact brands. They were more than happy to help and understand what exactly was wrong with the previous ones and what I wanted to order next. They gave me multiple testers of different types which caused no pain in my eyes. I just order a bunch and received a call to pick up with 3 days. -- Friendly service --fast orders --top brands but expensive frames --usually promotions offered.
