I had a really disappointing experience with Oscar Lara, despite having had a good experience with…read morehim previously. When my sectional needed to be reupholstered, I trusted his recommendation and paid $6,380. Oscar specifically recommended the fabric for my vacation rental and demonstrated how stains would roll off. Less than a year later, the fabric was showing significant staining. When I contacted Oscar, his solutions were for me to spend another $4,700 to reupholster the sectional or have the cushions dry-cleaned between every rental--an impractical option for a vacation rental with only a three-hour turnover. He took merely $90 of responsibility After I fully explained my concerns, he insulted me and then stopped communicating with me. I relied on his professional recommendation for a significant investment and expected both the fabric and customer service to live up to what was represented. Unfortunately, neither did. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision about whether Oscar's recommendations and customer service are right for their needs.

I was so surprised as my Mom was clever she took the chairs as the had exposed legs, longer legs and Ruben Upholstered them in a heavy off white with a dark red stripe added the shirt covering the legs but kept the integrity of the Baker fine tailoring matching the stripes and cut the welt on the bias. The two chairs are used often and look like new.stunning from every angle. Sense then as a designer by trade Ruben has done several large jobs to small changes or updating on individual items. One thing if your like myself or My Mom and have a concept or idea he is able to carry it out and its so satisfying to have someone actually carry out the concept to a reality and leave you pleased beyond your expectations. I find Rubens professionalism and the way he has accommodated me on jobs with clients invaluable! Because he is rare a man of his word and He remembered and always gave me the extra fabric or suggested and made some very beautiful accent pillows and the best part is his labor is reasonable and just the finest tailoring replicating the original details to a T. Its rare these days to find a craftsman who is not only fair but the work done for the money is exceptional! Ill send photos soon. There wasn't much info available on Albert's when I searched, I decided to contact Alberto, he responded promptly and professionally. His shop was a bit out of the way for me, he agreed to come pick up my driver's seat, reupholster and return at a price that was much more fair and reasonable than what I was quoted from other shops. Alberto kept me posted on how things were going and returned the seat right on schedule. Let's just say it came out better than I could've imagined! He also dyed the other seats on the spot and now my 2011 Ford Escape interior looks almost as good as new. Besides the work, I'd like to add that Alberto is a true gentleman, he takes pride in his work, treating customers right and being honorable.
