When I have visited other "Hi" locations, I have always ordered one of the specialty burgers. Today, I changed things up and created my own. I went with a single smash burger and added only Pepper Jack Cheese and Jalapeños. It was delicious. Once it was served at my table, all I added was a small amount of ketchup and some of the aioli from the table condiments. Did you know their ketchup is a house recipe? It's damn, good. My side of fries were super crispy and had the perfect amount of seasoned salt. I like that they use hand cut potatoes with skins on, to make their fries. Their soda selection is unique, not your typical offerings. I like that they offer, Frostie Root Beer. It's one of my favorites. The service was friendly and attentive for a fast-food restaurant. The only thing that kept them from getting 5 Stars was the cleanliness of the dining room. It was 6 PM and the floor needed to be swept and tables were needing a good wipe down. Checked out "A Little Hi" while visiting the area during the Spring 2024 Eclipse. They have a fun menu featuring specialty burgers, including some vegetarian/vegan options as well as sandwiches, salads, classic sides and some unique ones along with shakes! This is a fast casual solid burger spot! We placed a pick up order for eight of us and it was a perfect options. Prices are reasonable starting a a simple single patty for around $7 and up o $13 for specialty burgers and other entrees. Their sides are around $3-4 aat time of review with shakes ar $6. They offer classic shakes as well as some fun seasonal or shake of the day options! I opted for the Toklahoma burger, which is sort of like a classic smash burger. I shared a side of fries and garlic green beans along with a oreo shake with by husband and we were most definitely satisfied. Finally found the time to visit a Little High, a smaller version of the St. Louis restaurant chain. Located in Ballwin , MO, you'll find a great experience with delicious items for every palette. Wife went with the salad and unfortunately at this location chicken is not a side to add. Salad serving was big enough you didn't miss it and the cilantro lime dressing complimented it perfectly. My daughter and I were feeling frisky and went all in on the Cowboy Burger. A delicious double cheeseburger, served with onion rings, bacon and bbq sauce. Burger wasn't big enough so we added lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. I also went bigger and grabbed an order of seasoned fries. Both burgers were huge and could be shared easily, but very good. A little hi has impressive milkshakes, but didn't get one this visit (aka we're coming back) and gonna get one next time. Manchester boulevard can be hectic to enter the parking lot, so patience is needed! Seating is limited and not favorable for large groups. Always excited to see a new business in town ESP one that I had good experiences with in the past at another location. We went late lunch time so it was not too crowded though it did completely fill while we were there. Outside eating was a challenge with the wind but we made due! The place was clean and inviting. The staff was welcoming and not in a rush to get done with you to get the next customer. They offered suggestions, made combos out of our orders, and were very friendly. We grabbed a table, filled my Tea, and didn't have to wait to long to get the food delivered to the table. My friend was already on his way to enjoying his shake! The food was a bit on the greasy side. Not sure if grease or excess butter. My friend said her burger was just OK and I though the same of my sandwich. The tots had WAY to much salt. I am glad they put fill paper towel rolls at the table since we both ended up constantly wiping our hands. Maybe next time I just get his awesome looking shake. read more

The food was all good. Quick service and employee was very friendly. The burgers were above average, and the fries were outstanding. Kids had grilled cheese meals that were a good size for them. Prices were a little high, but I guess that is to be expected nowadays. Inside is nice but a little small. There are only three booths and a few tables. They do have outside seating, and much of that is covered. Some interesting/cool decorations on the walls and alien adorned napkin holders. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. When I heard this place was open, I had to check it out. I've been to both the Macausland and Kirkwood locations. The new one I think is even better. My food was delicious (they were out of onion rings which was disappointing). We tried and fries and sweet potato tots, fries were the clear winner (I'd skip the tots in the future). When I come here I usually get there special of the day. They post it on social media showing a picture and a description of what there special is. It never seems to amaze me how creative they get with some of their special and they always turn out having the best flavors. There Mac and cheese balls that they have on occasion also hold a lot of flavor pack in their little crispy cheese shells. The service is always great, they help you pick anything to order if your having trouble deciding and always give you on honest opinion on how they think different burgers taste. Hands down, the best burger I have had in West County. Went with a double patty with bacon and a sharp cheddar pub cheese. I added the optional bacon, lettuce, tomato and grilled onions. The patties were perfectly smashed with lots of crispy burger bits around the edges. The bun is a soft bun that held up well to the toppings and the ride. The fries were hot and fresh, but I suspect they were frozen / not fresh. Still, the fries were above average and the hot sauce and seasonings available by the soda fountain made them even better. The place was busy with several people waiting and a line of 8-10 people. Once I ordered, I had my food in about 7 minutes which I consider to be fast for a busy, cook-to-order place. This establishment is Hi-pointe's "smaller menu" concept, but honestly, there are a ton of options especially when you can swap out the patty for a bison, turkey, taco, or veggie burger. Plus the daily, kick a$$ specials, salads and milk shakes (those are a meal too, right!?) make for a huge menu in my opinion. Lastly, I will admit that I am a fan of the people behind this establishment. They are local chefs who contribute a ton to the local food scene and to the community. Little Hi on Manchester in Ballwin MO Very Not-Special ... I'm not sure that I trust the validity of the current YELP reviews for the Little HI in Ballwin (the reviews are way too "gushy-positive" for a place that never seems to have more than one or two cars on the parking; or maybe we just caught them on a bad day. The young man at the counter was (at best) "unenthused" about his job. 'No help with our relatively-simple questions about the menu; and although we were the ONLY customers in the store, our service was slow-as-mud & our fries were close-to-cold. A bit pricey for very "Un-Special" (soggy) burgers & cold fries. And if you, or anybody in your party is physically disabled (my wife has been in a wheel chair for years), don't bother ... they have zero Handicapped Parking spaces; and when I mentioned that to the fellow at the counter, his reply was a less-than-interested UHH. Little Hi is definitely a NO-GO for us ... way too many much-better options in the Ballwin area. read more

By the time I got home, food was cold, and the $3.49 bag of fries was half full. I would hope a manager or owner would read reviews of their stores. The "hi" was lost on me, even with all of the references throughout the restaurant. Burgers seasoned well. Ordered a double and is was a very good, generous size. Also ordered onion rings. Sides don't come in sizes and I don't know how much they cost. With so many waiting for a table or their order, we were sandwiched in between the self serve drink machine and a couple on a date at the counter. It was a dance for people to get their drink and awkward to be so close to people eating. The unfortunate part was when we got home and opened the bag, we had three small to medium sized rings.
