We started with the Soya (Suya for my fellow Nigerians) and codfish fritters. The Soya was tender with a legit spice rub, and the fritters were fresh, crispy, and gone in two minutes. For mains, we went heavy: the Daurade Royale, Chicken Yassa, Jollof rice, and Ivory Coast Alloco. The braised sea bream was seasoned down to the bone, and the Yassa had that perfect tangy, caramelized onion punch with the olives and black pepper. The Jollof respected the culture (but still not better than Nigerian jollof), and the fried plantains were golden and sweet.
