My boyfriend had the most amazing cake at his 21st birthday and after discovering that he ordered it from Heidelberg's, without hesitation I decided to order one for my own 21st birthday party. Heidelberg Cakes produces made-to-order cakes, specialising in weddings and parties. There are a variety of cake flavours, which are all amazingly delicious and in order to help you decide what flavour you want, they offer free samples of their cakes. I ended up going for the chocolate and caramel cake. There are also a huge number of themes and designs to choose from, which was great for me as I had a themed birthday party. The service was also top notch and very professional. My cake was also delivered by Heidelberg's staff to the party's venue, just before it started. All of my guests greatly enjoyed the cake, and I can't wait until I have another occaision which calls for me ordering a cake from Heidelbergs!

In fact, they generally are cheaper than most other bottle shops. Depending on the product. But if you are a craft beer lovers (like myself) you will notice the difference in price. If you love wine, you will be excited to know that unlike large bottle shop chains, you will find boutique South Australian wines here. Some wineries are very particular on where they sell their produce. This is one of those very lucky destinations. But this isn't just a bottle shop/cellar, it's also a lovely café and patisserie (as the name suggests). You will find a lovely range of pastries, cakes, sweets, sandwiches, pizzas, and salads. All of them are gourmet and special. Last time I had lunch here I picked up a great special, a slice of pizza and coffee for $10. The pizza was great. It was pre-made and heated. But, it was still quality with smoked salmon, capers, and veggies. Great quality base as well! As for the coffee, I am not entirely convinced they have their in-house blend right. But, I am always willing to try it again. My barista overheated the milk as well. Oh well... Last thing to mention is the range of crockery & home wares available instore on the back wall. Very nice selection of designer pieces. So worth looking at if you are after a gift or wanting something spesh for home!

Maybe not at 9am. Located just behind the Stirling pub and just off the main road through town in a new complex built also for one of the most well laid out Foodland stores I've ever seen (wooden floors in a supermarket equals fancy!). But we're here to talk about this. fancy. place. Come up, grab a quiche, a ginormous berry meringue to crack open and devour, a cheese plate and coffees for everyone - and then go hard at the goods. Great ambiance. Want to buy ridiculously fun and expensive local and imported goods? They've got it, too. Or if they haven't, pop next door and see if they do. With seating that allows you to watch the staff behind the scenes or the trees across from the complex, styled with fun, comfort and genius. Go solo for some quiet times, or bring friends and enjoy the moment. Go initially for sophistication and depart with an armful of new friends to drink (sensibly!). Just don't miss this spot - whatever you do.

Situated on the edge of an industrial estate, Elbio features a small store at the front of the factory selling direct to the public, and has recently opened a café section. Baked goods vary from caramel tarts, lemon meringue pies, lemon tartlets, coconut macaroons, and include dedicated offerings only available from Elbio's, such as Chaja's (a ball of caramel, sponge and peaches, rolled in chunks of meringue) and Massini Chantilly (a luscious Chantilly cream served between layers of tender sponge cake, topped with a flame caramelized coating). Nearly all the offerings come in both a small bite size serving, ideal for cocktail parties, or and individual serve perfect for dinner parties or dessert. Many favourites can also be prepared in a party size, or as a cake to serve as many as you need - often a solution for birthdays and other celebrations. Elbio's desserts are a thrill to both the eyes, and the tastebuds - come in and have a fresh made coffee and sample some of the treasures here, or pick up a variety of goods to take home. Very much recommended.

I was so astonished and mind-blown by the arrays of magnificent-looking choices I only bought a vanilla slice because my head was spinning. It was utterly wonderful, so the next day I went back, bought a gluten-free chocolate brownie because it was the only choccy brownie I saw, and a chocolate croissant. Snarfed the entire croissant that evening figuring the brownie would last better in the fridge. Today, after almost 24 hours and cold from its brown bag in the fridge, it's still got to be the chocolatiest, richest, tastiest brownie I've had in many a long year (& I'm a lot closer to 80 than the last time I had any shop-bought baked treat this wonderful.) Not much to say about the ambiance because such impressive baked goods outshone everything else, though the interior did seem as clean, bright and shiny as it should be and the service was cheerful, prompt and helpful especially given how busy they were in waves. I was also tickled to see the treats for littlies, from tiny rainbows with clouds at both ends, to unicorns to a Minion an adult fan I know would love. I do expect to get to try their meat pies as well, but again, haven't yet been able to make up my mind which to try first. This review is only "pretty epic" because the bakery is!
