I strongly encourage you NOT to go to Brandon Richland, MD for Breast Reconstructive Surgery…read more I consulted with Brandon Richland after Breast Cancer surgery for removal of implants and breast reconstruction. He was charming, presented as knowledgeable and I felt he understood what I wanted. Surgery went well and I was pleased with the results. I felt everything was fine until shortly after the drainage tubes were removed. I became very ill, had a high temp and felt like I had covid. I went to Richland's office, he took one look at me and immediately told me to walk over to ER. No one from his office offered to come with me nor did anyone check on me. In the ER an IV was started immediately and I stayed in ER until a room was available. My right breast was red, swollen, painful, and oozing from a tiny hole in the scar tissue. Not once did anyone from Richland's office check on me. I had an ultrasound which showed "fluid" in my breast, it was an abscess. The next day Richland came to my room numbed my breast and excised it. The infection came pouring out, it was disgusting and painful. The test results came back "MRSA light growth". Richland packed my breast and walked out of the room without saying a word. For 2 weeks I was in isolation, on Vancomycin IV trying to get the infection under control. Vancomycin is the heaviest antibiotic available and it is hard on your veins and harder on your body. The entire time I was in the hospital there was not one word from anyone at Richland's practice. Important note - my family was notified by the hospital of my illness and told "it does not look good". Where was my Dr? Finally I was discharged - with an open wound in my breast which I had to learn how to pack myself multiple times a day. After a few weeks the wound started to close. I called Richlands office and was told to come in so he could excise the wound once again. Richland said it was imperative that the wound close from the inside out. During the excision he took another sample from inside the wound. This result came back MRSA - HEAVY GROWTH. I immediately called the office and spoke with staff - Richland was busy - asked for a call back to discuss test results - Richland never returned one call. In total I left 4 messages and stopped in his office 3 times. All attempts to get an answer were, and still are, blatantly ignored. MRSA is no joke. People die from this infection and some lose limbs. To have a physician care so very little about his patient that he can't be bothered to have a conversation to explain these test results is unconscionable. It's important to note I was unable to finish my cancer treatment after leaving the hospital. To this day, there has been no conversation or explanation from Richland or anyone in his office.

I was at home in Newport Beach and asked a friend for a referral to a breast Dr. I called the Dr but it was after hours. The operator asked if I wanted to speak to the Dr "on call". I said I would. I just wanted to know if I could take Advil for whatever was causing me to be so sick and in pain. Dr Elliott returned my call immediately and he asked me several questions regarding my symptoms. He then told me to come to his office the next morning and to expect it to be a long day. I arrived at his office in extreme pain and met his front office gal, Chris, who was so empathetic and caring. She had me sit down and get off my feet. She asked me if I needed water but I had my own with me. Next I met Dr Elliott, who was so amazing. He examined me and immediately called several Drs while I was there in the exam room. He told me he set up appointments for an ultrasound and to walk across the hallway to the radiologist that specializes with breasts. Within 10 minutes I was having an ultrasound which detected fluid in my breast and aspirated 200 cc's of necrotic fluid which resulted in having surgery on my breasts. I ended up having MRSA, a 5 day hospital stay, 2 weeks of infusions and off work for 9 weeks. Dr Elliott was the key to finding out what was wrong with me. I can't say enough about this man. He was like the Angel that I needed who showed up in my life at the right time. He also sent me to an infectious disease Dr who determined the proper medications I should take throughout my treatments. Thank you to his staff, Chris and Tanya, for their compassion when I was feeling so low. Thank you to Dr Elliott for saving my life that day. I can never repay you.

Jane was amazing at clarifying and working thru any concerns I had prior to surgery. I was the first appointment of the day and actually ended up on the operating table earlier than expected. The OR staff was awesome both prior to and post op. And their anesthesiologist Dr JT has the best bedside manner, hands down. He was not only very friendly but he went over everything, answered any questions without making me feel rushed, and kept me in a positive frame of mind right up until the moment I fell asleep. So glad I choose Dr Newen and The Image Center.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!…read more This is what Dr. Newen's poor surgical technique caused to my wife's breasts from a botched breast augmentation that he performed a couple of years ago. Besides being a jerk that has poor bedside manner and avoids seeing his patients after deposits and payments are made, he is a terrible surgeon. The specialist who removed the extensive scarring from my wife's breast said he does many revisions on patients that have work done by Dr. Newen. To have capsular contracture to both breast to this extent, demonstrates poor sterile surgical technique. Go to a real plastic surgeon that knows what he or she is doing. Dr. Newen is a horrible pompous human being and poorly skilled surgeonI am in the process of reporting his practice to the Medical Board that licenses him.

I was never fully happy with them, and after two kids, things got worse--my implants stayed high, but my breast tissue sagged over them. I went to Dr. Nguyen because two of my girlfriends had amazing results with him. After consulting with a few surgeons, I chose Dr. Nguyen because I saw his work firsthand. As a nurse practitioner in the aesthetic world for 10+ years, I knew exactly what I wanted: an anchor scar lift. Dr. Nguyen told me I didn't need it --and thank goodness I listened! He only did a nipple lift, and the results are STUNNING. He saved me from a huge scar I didn't need. My breasts are symmetrical and beautiful, and the scar is just a tiny white line around the nipple. Night before surgery, I got surgery jitters and I posted a story on Instagram asking if anyone had a bad experience with him. My DMs were flooded with glowing reviews--even a nurse who worked with him said he's incredible. That gave me so much confidence. If you're considering breast surgery, TRUST him. He's honest, talented, and does gorgeous work. I couldn't be happier, finally!

Do NOT go here!!! I had breast surgery here in July 2025. My…read moreoriginal goal was to make my breasts smaller and correct the sagging that happened after pregnancy and breastfeeding. During the consultation, the doctor recommended a Level 1 lift through the areola incision, which he said would make my areolas smaller and improve the sagging. I trusted his professional opinion completely and had no objections. I paid $9,000 for the surgery, including $2,000 specifically for the Level 1 lift. About two weeks after the operation, I removed the compression bra and was extremely disappointed -- the sagging had not improved even 10%. You can still clearly see the droop (I have photos to prove this) and my breasts are not smaller as I requested, nor as the doctor claimed they would be in the consultation. When I went back for a follow-up, the doctor simply said, "I think they look good!" Honestly, if this is considered "good," then this doctor should not be in cosmetic surgery. When I asked about having the surgery corrected to achieve a proper lift, they told me I would need a Level 3 lift -- and I would have to pay another $9,000! There was zero responsibility taken for my unsatisfactory result. It seems they don't care about their patients, their wishes, or their recovery -- only about money. I made it clear this was not my fault and I should not be charged as if it were a brand-new surgery with no support from the doctor. I offered to pay 50% of the $9,000 to help cover anesthesia and OR costs, but they refused. They blamed "high anesthesia costs" and showed no intention to work with me to correct the problem. Let's not forget -- each surgery costs not just money, but also time, health, and recovery. The Level 1 lift was not something I demanded; it was the doctor's professional recommendation. As a patient, I trusted that advice, and a professional should know which procedure will deliver the best result. If the chosen technique fails, the responsibility should be shared. Since then, I have tried to reach out multiple times, but their way of handling customers is to avoid and remain silent. The doctor has never once called to check on me after surgery, despite promising to do so. I am now looking for another surgeon to fix the result because I no longer trust this clinic. If you are considering coming here -- think carefully. I lost money, time, and trust. You deserve a surgeon who stands behind their work and cares about their patients, not just the payment.
