He would send one worker at a time, often a different person every other day, and Jose himself only showed up twice. The quality of the work was awful. I brought it up to Jose over the phone and even to his worker on-site. I pointed out that the grout lines didn't match -- some were thin, others way too thick. Some tiles were lifted up while others were sunk down unevenly. His response was that he "could fix it," but the job was never corrected or completed. I paid him $3,000 (half of the total agreed price), and I was left with a mess of uneven tile and unfinished work. Now he won't return my money and doesn't answer his phone. Jose may seem professional at first, but he does not know what he's doing. I would not recommend JJM Construction to anyone. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the poor quality. If I could give negative stars, I would.

We have hired JJM for 3 projects so far, and will continue to use them for smaller project. The…read morefirst project was to re do our laundry room and finish our garage. Jose and company did an exceptional job. Our garage is now finished, and storage space has increased. The laundry room was finished using our feedback for design elements. The 2nd project was a small bathroom renovation. The demolition uncovered some surprises, but Jose worked through then always keeping an open line of communication. Major plumbing work was needed, and they took care of it. The finish work was just as great. Their attention to detail is top notch. We could not be any happier with the bathroom remodel. Case in point, we hired JJM to do our kitchen remodel. They are about 90% complete, and we are as happy as we can be. The remodel included a wall removal, tear down of walk in pantry, new recessed lighting, plumbing for new appliance, face-lift on existing cabinets, new counters, mosaic glass backsplash, flooring, semi custom cabinet assembly, and a custom kitchen island. This has been a significant project, while we live here. Everyday they leave the area as clean as possible so that we can continue living in our home. The experience has been great, and we will continue to use JJM for our home improvement projects. They are highly competent, and genuinely take pride in their craftsmanship.

We received five different estimates, and Olympia was right in the middle price-wise, which felt fair and reasonable. One of the main reasons we chose them was their strong online reviews, and we also spoke with two of their past clients in Sherman Oaks who had completed similar projects. Both had only great things to say, which gave us a lot of confidence. From our first meeting, we had a great feeling about Ryan--he's professional, honest, and easy to work with. That positive energy continued throughout the entire project. This was a true full home remodel: wall removal, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, flooring, windows, painting, plumbing, electrical rewiring, insulation, and more. Everything was clearly documented upfront, and the project followed the contract exactly. There were no surprises or unexpected charges, which is something we were especially cautious about after hearing stories from friends. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt genuinely thankful for the experience and the results. Olympia Construction delivered exactly what they promised. Highly recommended!
