A neighbor recommended Green Universe, and from the first call with Ozzie, I felt like we were finally in good hands. He came out personally, walked through the damage, explained what could be saved and what couldn't, and never rushed us. The rebuild took a few months, but everything was communicated clearly. They worked with our insurance, kept the house clean during construction, and rebuilt it better than before. You can tell Ozzie actually cares about his clients, not just the job. We're grateful every day we chose them and I can definitely recommend them!

Absolute Excellence! A Masterclass in Craftsmanship, Speed, and Integrity…read more If you are looking for a remodeling team that delivers world-class quality, blistering speed, and incredibly fair pricing, look no further. Who can actually provide all three of those things these days? Artem and Timur can! I brought Artem and his team in under incredibly stressful circumstances for a complete bathroom remodel after I had to terminate a previous contractor for poor work. Initially, because of the tight timeline and an upcoming two-week family vacation, we didn't think it would be physically possible to finish the bathroom before we left. Not only did Artem step in seamlessly, but he and his master craftsman, Timur, worked with such efficiency that they finished the entire project a full week before our departure! The craftsmanship displayed by Timur is nothing short of extraordinary. From the flawless installation of the intricate Regallo Calacatta wall tile to the meticulous custom fabrication and edge-polishing of our Absolute Black granite countertops, his attention to detail is elite. Every line is perfectly straight, every joint is airtight, and the final fit and finish look like a luxury retreat. Beyond the jaw-dropping physical results, they were an absolute joy to work with. Throughout a remodel, you constantly hit unexpected design crossroads. Artem and Timur always brought highly experienced, intelligent recommendations to the table. What I respected most, however, was their total professionalism: if we chose to go a different route than what they recommended, they pivot immediately without any pushback, ego, or hesitation. They executed our exact vision flawlessly. To top it all off, the pricing was incredibly fair and honest. You hear so many horror stories about home renovations, but this team restored my complete faith in the trade. We received top-tier, custom-designer quality on an unbelievable timeline for a fantastic cost. I cannot recommend Artem, Timur, and their crew highly enough. They are true professionals and absolute masters of their craft!

5 stars so far, and I hope to come back and update this review when our ADU is complete!…read more This review reflects our experience through the signing of our ADU contract. Construction has not started yet, so I cannot speak to the building process or the finished product. But everything we have experienced so far has been so positive that I felt Preferred Home Builders truly deserves five stars at this stage. After an extremely frustrating experience with a different contractor, I feel compelled to share what we learned for anyone embarking on the ADU journey: do not fall for charlatans, empty promises, lousy sketches, or requests for too much money upfront. Take your time, ask questions, and look for a professional who is willing to invest the time and expertise needed to understand your project before asking you to commit. That is exactly what we found in Nir at Preferred Home Builders. From our very first meeting, Nir has been professional, punctual, courteous, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient. Before we signed a contract, and before he even knew whether he would get our business, he invested more than 10 hours of in person meetings with us, in addition to extensive email communication. That level of commitment made a huge impression on us. Our ADU site presents some challenges because of the hilly terrain. Nir took the time to understand those challenges, assess them carefully, and come back to us with thoughtful options rather than making unrealistic promises or glossing over potential complications. Another thing that really impressed us was the level of detail that went into the budgeting process. We completed an extensive questionnaire covering everything from major decisions such as windows and doors to seemingly tiny details, such as how many sconces we wanted by the entrance and whether they should be on the left or right. The result was a remarkably detailed budget that leaves very little, if anything, to be figured out later. After our previous experience, the difference has been night and day. So, at this stage of the process, I cannot recommend Preferred Home Builders highly enough. Nir is clearly at the top of his game, and we are very happy to be working with him. I look forward to coming back to update this review once the ADU is completed, hopefully with another five stars and plenty of pictures to share!

(Note: The furniture bar cabinets and library were added later on and were not part of this contractor's project). From start to finish, the entire team was extremely professional, dedicated, and highly skilled. On the very first day we met, Nir helped design a 3D view of the project that perfectly captured exactly what we had envisioned. Throughout the build, we had a weekly walkthrough with Nir to check if we had any questions or concerns, which kept communication incredibly clear. Elba was also an excellent project coordinator who was always available to answer our questions and keep everything on track daily. The construction crew themselves were clearly very experienced and knowledgeable; they followed our approved plans meticulously and were happy to accommodate extra requests along the way. You can truly gauge the quality of their work by the fact that every single city inspector visit passed on the first try--nothing ever had to be rescheduled or redone because everything was built perfectly to plan. Additionally, all of the finishes--from the drywalling to the trim work and paint--were done with high-quality materials and top-tier craftsmanship. Overall, it was a great experience, and we highly recommend them!

We weren't the easiest clients this time around because we changed our minds so many times, but it was never a problem.
