I've been using these fine folks for 4 years to take care of my taxes and my parent's estate taxes. Fairly priced and never an issue.

I found the Crescere group from the positive reviews on Google and Yelp, and I am certainly glad I…read moredid. Ron is a tax wizard. He helped me both with my business taxes and personal taxes, and WOW was I impressed with his knowledge. His expertise was such a relief to be able to lean on this year. Ron also has a unique since of humor, which may not be for everyone, but it made paying taxes oddly relaxing for me (and dare I say, even enjoyable). Would strongly recommend Ron for both business and personal tax needs!

Proceed with Caution: My Experience with Ron Mussett…read more I initially worked with Ron to set up my LLC taxed as an S-corp. He was helpful during the initial process, but unfortunately, the execution was flawed. He made repeated administrative errors, such as filing paperwork incorrectly, missing deadlines, and even misspelling my name and my company's name multiple times. While I initially overlooked these mistakes, things only worsened over time. One of my biggest concerns was Ron's reluctance to answer questions beyond quarterly payroll tax filings. I often felt like an annoyance rather than a valued client. More critically, he failed to inform me that I wasn't making estimated personal income tax payments, which led to a substantial tax bill for 2024--complete with penalties. Based on my experience with him, I expect he would say this wasn't his responsibility, but better communication could have prevented the issue. Additionally, his tax planning knowledge was not the right fit. For instance, he was unfamiliar with Solo 401(k) plans and only recommended SEP IRAs, which didn't align with my financial strategy. He also would push back against strategies like structuring payroll for my spouse, paying her the max required for a 401(k) contribution, and "netting out." Beyond these shortcomings, his overall responsiveness was mediocre to poor--not just during tax season but consistently throughout the year. He was only reachable via email and rarely by phone, making it difficult to get timely responses. To be fair, Ron is very affordable compared to other CPAs. At the time, I was paying a fraction of what I pay now. However, I've come to realize that paying three times as much for my new CPA is well worth it--because at least now, I don't have IRS penalties, unexpected tax bills, or unanswered questions. My new CPA is available via phone and Zoom, open to one-on-one consultations, and takes the time to ensure I understand my tax strategy. If you're looking for a CPA who provides proactive guidance, strategic tax planning, and clear explanations, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Just as we expect doctors to have bedside manner, I believe a CPA should show a level of respect and care for their clients. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I often felt disregarded, and the lack of communication left me with IRS penalty letters, an unexpected tax bill, and a new CPA who is now cleaning up the mess. Ultimately, I take responsibility for not holding Ron accountable sooner. However, if you choose to work with him, be prepared to take a very hands-on approach and ensure you fully understand what he is offering. I've since found a CPA who is a much better fit--someone who takes the time to explain tax-saving strategies, aligns with my long-term financial goals, and ensures I won't be blindsided by another massive tax bill in 2025.

Not a good experience for me. Only used them for one year, got passed around to a couple of CPAs,…read moredid not seem to be a very organized or efficient. Was asked multiple times for docs that they already had. Nice people when you're there in person but pretty clearly a poorly run shop. Better than a hot beer, but would not recommend using this company.

We run a small business and are expanding quickly. Our goal was to find an accounting firm in Dallas that understood our growth mindset and was entrepreneur-friendly. We wanted help with tax preparation and to make sure we were bookkeeping with best practices. It took months and countless unanswered emails to get anywhere with Kelly CPA accountants after the first in person meeting. Our intake form and answers provided were even lost by their office at one point. After calling and being blatantly ignored multiple times by the accountant their first assigned us, they finally assigned a new accountant a few weeks before the deadline to file. I asked multiple times over email and calls to meet in person to review our information since the firm lost our data. He ignored my requests for the in person meeting just like the previous accountant who was assigned. I have major issues with the way they bill. Part of it is my fault - make sure if you use them to get their fees agreed to in writing. They claim they discussed this in person at our first meeting, but we don't have this written down nor do we remember for sure if it was agreed to many months ago. They don't include pricing in the engagement letter, which makes no sense to me. A simple google search shows this business charges 2-3x the average market price for tax returns - definitely worth knowing before signing an engagement letter. Finally, after requesting a sit-down with their bookkeepers to review best practices and being ignored on that, it was clear they weren't a firm that truly cares about supporting small businesses. They have done a great job with their marketing and the millennial friendly office space - but these things definitely duped me.
