Worst company ever. They hung up the phone on me, were rude When I called to check on status after hearing nothing for a month they Don't communicate, don't respond, had my paper work for a month and didn't even look at it.. Messages aren't relayed they are horrible don't ever use them. Very disappointing overall!!! Never again!! read more

I worked with Al and Traci for the first time this year for my personal and business taxes. I provided all information to them in early March, including specific states I needed to file in. They told me they filed an extension and then I didn't hear from them for months. It was incredibly difficult getting ahold of them. I had to follow up multiple times to make sure they were still working on my taxes and again to make sure they were even filed. I had to point out that they forget to file a document! After I paid them in full, I received a late filing tax penalty months later from the state tax board. I found out they didn't file the extension in one of the states I do business in. When I notified them of the late fee and asked to be reimbursed for their error they completely ghosted me. DON'T work with them if you're looking for good customer service and people who actually care about small businesses. read more

The worst business experience I have ever had. I honestly don't know how he is even legally allowed to be a CPA. He was my CPA for multiple businesses and on multiple occasions, I would get letters from the IRS or the state of Texas saying something wasn't filed and I would call to see what was going on and he always had an excuse. To be honest. he's such a likable guy you just assume he's on top of it. Last week one of the companies he was to file for last year got a levy on the account. This was for not filing the franchise tax with the state. We had our controller sort it out but it was something Al Pugh should have done. Today I found out that he hasn't filed two of our companies tax returns and we never could get him to send them to us....this must be why. He also filed my personal return late and all kinds of fees and penalties were assessed that I had to pay. Never communicates, won't return texts or emails, and pretty much just doesn't care. I told him if he didn't give us copies of our returns within 72 hours I would be sure to make it known how he does business which is what I am doing now. read more

I wish I had never set foot in their office. Two years ago we paid them to handle an issue, and to date it still isn't resolved. When we talk to Al his answer is always "it's almost done" or "yes, it's taken care of" or whatever answer he chooses to give that day. We call the office and the story there is completely different. We have literally been there at least 3 times to sign a Power of Attorney. But for some reason they can't seem to keep track of it. We had to go back again today and sign another one. We feel like they are holding us hostage because we paid them to handle this matter. We don't feel like we should have to turn around and pay someone else to take care of something that Al should have taken care of 2 years ago. Oh and to make matters worse the turnover there is OUT OF CONTROL. Seems like we talk to at least 4-5 different people each year. Our file keeps getting passed along to whatever new person made the unfortunate decision to go to work there. Frustrating does not begin to describe our experience to date. read more

Zero Stars. They completed my return and it was on time, but there were some issues after the fact. They do not return emails. I have called numerous times, left numerous messages and they do not return calls. Each time you speak to someone new and they act like they have never heard from you. The absolute worst customer service that I have ever experienced. After 3 months of trying to get information, I contacted the IRS myself and they had no record of any case being filed on my behalf. My husband and I were looking for a new CPA and found Al Pugh & Company. During our initial meeting we knew it was a good fit for us. Al educated us on what would be best approach in our situation. They don't return calls, texts or emails. Multiple times I have tried to get my information from them and they have delayed my taxes, only to give me the tax info on the day its due.
