Wish I could give this another star . The company I was previously using for a few years came out yesterday as HVAC wasn't blowing cold air. After 20 minutes the guy came down from roof and said my compressor was dead and quoted me very high to replace furnance / AC combo as it's 15+ years and came with the condo when was built. My uncle recommended giving Spiro and a climate source inc. a call to get a second opinion as he has been using them for a long time. Within 24 hours was able to make a trip out to Evanston and within 15 minutes Tony had the HVAC system up and working again where only needed a new capacitor (or a much cheaper part) Tony was very friendly and knowledgeable. I'll definitely look to use this company moving forward as they know what there doing and have serviced my uncle and other family members for many years read more

Highly professional. Uber friendly on the phone, no matter who I spoke to. I found them as a certified service agent on the Electrolux web site. A solenoid went bad in our 2-y.o. Electrolux washer leaking water all over the laundry room floor. When I called Electrolux they informed me that we were *just* out of warrantee (naturally). They gave me the name of ACS for service. The tech who came out for the service call said this was going to be a pricey repair with parts and labor for two techs and a couple hours. He encouraged me to go back to Electrolux and press for some kind of compensation since it was not a common failure & so close to warrantee. I took his advice and was able to get both the part *and* the labor from Electrolux. (Thank you, Tony!) They've been here twice. Each time I got a call by 8am the morning of the scheduled visit giving me a 2-hour arrival window. The second time they didn't make that window. Not by a long shot. But the tech did call to revise it and met the second window. So ACS gets points for that "communication thing". They followed up twice after the initial service call when I was dealing with Electrolux. Once things were squared away with Electrolux, they called multiple times to keep me informed along the way about parts ordering, delays in the part's arrival, its arrival, and rescheduling the service call. This is what customer service is all about. It's not hard. It's just attention to detail. The initial consultation charge is $65 for the visit. However, they apply that to the final repair costs. Very reasonable, in my book. Top notch and classy, all the way around. read more

We have a Fujitso mini split with heat and ac that was installed by another hvac person last June. The unit kept losing Freon and come winter, the units heating cycle would not work. We had another heating unit so we waited until the weather was nicer to have it fixed but before the summer heat. Tony came out, found the leak and repaired the unit in 3 hours. Seventeen years ago, we purchased a fifty-year-old home with multiple additions that had four furnaces, two air conditioning systems, a spa and one hot water heater. All were good equipment but aging. Several pieces of equipment were mis-sized and otherwise less than expertly installed in makeshift ways. Over years we have lived here, Spyro, of A Climate Source, has kept alive what equipment he could and retrofitted and replaced what he could not. Spyro has improved the HVAC in this house many times over the systems that we initially purchased. Often on an emergency basis, most recently when our doddering main furnace finally died just before the current super-freeze. The old hot water heater, which was making the popping sounds indicating its imminent demise, had been inaccessably located in a corner behind the huge old furnace. Over this past weekend, Spyro removed the huge old furnace (in pieces), and the old water heater, and replaced both. The job was a nightmare that involved refitting the ducts, exhausts and even rebuilding the crumbling concrete floor - all on an emergency schedule because the weather is heading subzero. Spyro is a genuine expert at everything connected with HVAC, a totally honest tradesman, reasonably priced, and an exceptionally caring person. If you are lucky enough to be able to get your HVAC on A Clmate Source's schedule, do not let go of them. You never will find Spyro's equal. read more

We have used Spyros for years to help us keep an older furnace and AC unit going. Well, it finally died and the A Climate Source team came out today and completely replaced the unit. Not only did they NOT have to run wires or pipes outside our ductwork, but everything was done quickly and efficiently, with NO clean up needed by us at all. Tony and his crew got right to work but answered questions and explained what exactly what was being installed. All product information and warranties were left here, Spyros called and said he was going to register the unit for us. These guys are phenomenal. CALL THEM without hesitation. Spyros was awesome. I had a 125+ pound A/C window unit I needed installed. I was getting quotes as low as $130, but those people wanted me to meet them at Home Depot, help them put it in their "car/van/who knows," and they went as high as $400. Spyros quoted me $190, for two people, picked the A/C unit up at Home Depot, met me at my unit (2nd foor) with another guy, and within 1-1:15 hours, they had the unit installed, extra support added, etc. Extremely professional and I'd honestly recommend them to anyone and/or use them again. I was happy to give a generous tip because, well, they more than deserved it. A Climate Source saved the day! Came home to a 52 degree house with a low temp expected tonight of 11 degrees - hooboy. Timing is everything, and an after-hours call serendipitously found Spryos and his guy a block away.
