Here is my crazy eyebrow story. Its long, but I consider it to be quite funny because I insisted on doing every step of the way "my way". Long story short, I am so exceptionally grateful I went to Tamra and finally dropped my control story and let Tamra do her work. Do not let this Yelp page fool you. Tamra has been in business for decades, and she is a true artist! Why it took me so long to get my eyebrows done I will never know. Best decision I have ever made about my makeup or for my own self confidence. Story time - First off, let me explain. As a child I was called "Brooke" (as in Brooke Shields because I had her 80's bushy eyebrows). I didn't always love my eyebrows because I had a unibrow and they were hard to manage. Yet, I never over plucked. Well, maybe once, and I decided that look wasn't for me. So, I always had naturally bushy full eyebrows. But with age, they were slowly becoming thinner and less defined with age. I slowly was getting more and more frustrated with the time I spent in front of the mirror trying to emulate my once full and beautiful eyebrows. I very secretively started considering permanent makeup, probably for a year+ before talking to anyone about it. I think I first brought up the idea to my friends, then my boyfriend and I spent years researching tattoo artists, prices, before and after pictures of just about ever person I researched. (Sadly, Tamra doesn't have tons of photos here.) But about a year and a half ago, I was serious about getting permanent makeup. I even went as far as trying to book an appointment with a lady (with good reviews) who was $700+! Yet, I was terrified about getting my face tattooed. Between the fear and the huge price tag, I backed out of my appointment, and I'm so glad I did! I decided to talk to my mother (who has had her eyebrows tattooed by Tamra for over 20 years!) and she recommended Tamra. I don't know about you, but I don't always listen to my Mother. I think what she does is great for her, but most of the time, I want nothing to do with it. So, here I am ready to take the plunge, and I don't know where to go or who to book with. It just so happened that the next week my Mother got her eyebrows touched up and we were having lunch. I couldn't stop staring at her eyebrows! They looked fabulous and natural. Then, I asked her about them (completely forgetting about Tamra) and my mom reminded me she had been recommending me to Tamra for a while. That was my complete breaking point. The next day I booked with Tamra. Consultation - I went into the consultation with lots of fear about getting my face tattooed. I ignored just about everything Tamra recommended. I wanted to be in control! I asked for the microblading technique and for hair like strokes. Tamra advised me against it, staying "with your coloring you had handle bold eyebrows" but she did what I wanted and gave me what I was comfortable with. Tamra told me to "play around with the shape and color when you get home. Next time we can make changes to your eyebrows if you want." Over the last few months, I kept filling in my eyebrows. I played around with them. Initially, I loved how bold they were, but even within months, they faded. Three months later, touch up - When I went in, I realized that with all my controlling, I didn't get what I wanted. I basically had the same light color I had without the tattooing, not a great shape for my face, and I paid my money for nothing. The second time I went in, I threw out my fear and told Tamra,"I don't care what you do, just make me beautiful. I got on where by trying to control everything last time, so, please, just make me look amazing. You know what? Tamra made me look amazing! I have never looked back. I love my eyebrows. I feel like I have my fully natural eyebrows but in a more modern adult way. My eyebrows are beautiful. Pain? There is very minimal pain in my opinion. Tamra uses a numbing cream. It works! Sometimes it has worn off in spots, but if I tell her, she is quick to re-numb and keep me comfortable. Another funny story - My house mate is 65+. When she saw my eyebrows, she got very curious about getting her eyebrows done. She has never really worn makeup in her life and didn't want her eyebrows to stick out. Nothing like mine. She doesn't have the coloring for it. She went into Tamra, very nervous. But when she came home, and once she was healed, her eyebrows looked amazing. They fit her face and the coloring is fantastic! Moral of the story - Tamra is the best. I will never let someone else touch my eyebrows. read more

I saw Tamara the end of March 2019....and have waited to post a review just to see how well the ink would last on my eyebrows. The color has lasted very well with a little fading but I was for warned to expect that which is why she offers a great deal on a touch up that I will schedule before the holidays....As far as the shape, they are perfect! She really takes the time & attention to this detail when working on you....and checks with you for your opinion before actually doing the tattoo...I was extremely happy with her services and cannot say enough about her! Tamra is awesome at her skill. She is a artist and takes a lot of pride in every face she touches. I wouldn't recommend anyone else. It is your face for goodness sake and It's permanent!! Why would you go to someone else that doesn't have her experience. Sometimes it is hard to get in to see her but so is a really good doctor or you favorite place to eat. The wait is worth it! I got my permanent eye liner done here about two years ago & it still looks great! I'm fairly young (24) and wasn't sure if I wanted to go the permanent make up route... but I'm so glad I did.
