When I first started getting my eyebrows permanently done, I honestly had no idea how much skill it takes and not everyone has it. Lucky for me, Christina possess great skill, experience, + customer service and I don't need to look any further! I first came in summer of 2022 after moving to Folsom (from the Bay Area) and my drawn-in eyebrows were melting with the summer heat. It was not cute! I'm super sensitive to pain but Christina is so good at helping me get through it with her reassurances, quick skilled hand, and plenty of numbing cream. All the praise for Christina! read more

The Brow Lounge - The master and artist, Christina and I after my 2nd session. - Permanent Makeup Near Me - Folsom, California

I found Brow Lounge on Yelp, and I was really excited because of the perfect reviews. I had a wonderful permanent makeup artist, but I have relocated and wanted someone closer. I have had permanent eyebrows for about 14 years now, and I love the way it looks. Only problem is my eyebrows always fade incredibly fast, so I need touch ups at about 6 months. I have always done a medium brown, warm color. It looks great, but I have never been able to retain any color for long periods of time. Maybe it's because I have oily skin, I use retinoids, and I enjoy swimming and the sun. When I met Christina, she was a sweetheart. I feel bad writing this review, but part of Yelp is honest feedback. She's professional, and has a clean nice studio in Folsom. Her prices seem to be fair. I explained to her that I have never been able to retain color, and I was hoping to change that. I thought maybe going a bit darker, and thicker would be a good option. So I do believe part of this is my fault. I did however specify to her that I definitely did not want to end up with very thick, dark brown eyebrows. That's basically what I got. They are very dark brown, which looks a bit odd on me. At first they were black, and a lot of people made comments so I knew it wasn't just me. There is also a spot where it looks like she made a mistake on the tail end. This has been pointed out by a few different people, so again it's not me being picky. It has now been over a year and I'm shocked because they are still very thick, and extremely dark. It hasn't seem to have faded at all. I texted her, and she offered to color camouflage them to a lighter shade of brown for close to 600 dollars. Wow! Another permanent makeup artist I spoke to said my best bet is to do a tattoo removal with saline. There's a lot of downtown with this option, and that won't work for me. So I'm currently stuck with these extremely dark eyebrows. I'm really disappointed in this whole situation. When you look at my face, my eyebrows are probably the first thing you notice. I don't feel like they enhance my features. Instead they look harsh on me. The shape is nice, however. They do seem to be very even. I decided 3 stars was fair because they are a good shape, but I definitely specified with her that I didn't want to end up with eyebrows that were extremely dark. It doesn't look natural. read more

I had never done anything like this and was nervous. I wanted a natural look. If I want to go bolder I can always go back. Christina was friendly and easy to talk to. She listened and asked questions to make she she understood what I wanted and I was aware of the final results. She is amazing. Her office is in a great location, warm and inviting. She made a point to show me everytime she pulled out a new needle. She is very professional and uses all precautions including temperature check and masks. On another note, I am now scheduling an appt for my mother with diabetes. Christina took the time to send me information on why diabetes is a concern. She said she would not feel safe doing it unless my mom's Dr gave permission and my mother is clear on the risks. I can't say enough good things about Christina! read more

I didn't think I could get good results w asking for blonde brows! She worked very hard to get my arches perfectly even and it didn't hurt much more than a cat scratch at the worst. I'm so excited to virtually not have to do my eyebrows for 1.5+ years - and I didn't even get the touch up yet! I wish I'd done this ------------------------------------ I wanted to post a "one year later" to show how amazing this is even with light brows! I intend on getting a touch up during the year, but, wow, one year later and I still don't need to ever pencil. Even in the slight fading it looks amazing. read more

It was a year & a half ago that I first heard of microblading. I was intrigued to think how much time I could save each morning if I didn't have to draw eyebrows, but the fear of what if I ended up with screwed up eyebrows was stronger. For Christmas this year, I received a gift certificate and would now have to muster the courage. I made the appointment right away & arrived on the 29th with almost no natural brows. Christina immediately made me feel at ease. She drew the brows making any corrections I desired before beginning. I was immediately amazed by the results and even more so today, which is 2 days later. I am so glad I finally had my eyebrows micro-bladed. read more

Went to see Christina at the Brow Lounge for my first ever Microblading session. I'm not gonna lie - I was nervous! But Christina was great. She was better than great! She explained every step of the process and really listened to what I wanted. I brought in a picture of how I wanted them to look (very natural) and how I didn't want them to look. Using a measuring device she draws them on and allows you to decide- too thick? Too thin? Different shape? She really wants YOU to be happy with them. Once we got them just perfect she got the job done and I can't tell you how happy I am with them! Perfection. And she's lovely to boot! She listens to what you want AND has the skill to make it happen. For Microblading, Christina is your girl! read more

I have had permanently tattooed eyebrows for over 20 years and have been going to the same lady for touchups. Though there was nothing wrong with her, I wanted to update my look and saw my friend's eyebrows which was the work of Christina. I immediately contacted her to book an appointment but had no idea what I wanted as far as microblading, ombre, 3D or 6D...all new to me. Just the word microblading scares me but since my really good friend went to her and was very happy with her brows and they looked great, I decided I would give it a try. So when I get to my appointment, she explained each brow style to me and what her recommendation was by looking at my eyebrows. She recommended a combo microblading/ombre to give me more hair strokes and the ombre to blend in my prior tattooed eyebrows which made perfect sense to me. First she numbs my brows with ointment, then mathematically draws my eyebrows with rulers to make sure they are even. I even joked about how it looked like I had the matrix on my face. She then gives you multiple choices of the color you want. She walks you through every step before she starts so you are not caught off guard and you know what to expect. She updated my look with a more defined arch but still made it look natural. I love how she is so detail oriented, precise, and anal about her work. I appreciate that she is a perfectionist and takes much pride in her work. She will not let you leave until you are satisfied. I love waking up every morning not having to fill in my brows, so much time saved and I love them!! As far as her office space, it is very clean, hygienic, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. I highly recommend Christina if you are thinking of getting your eyebrows done. She makes you feel very comfortable and makes great conversation :) read more

I wanted to get my eyebrows re-touched as it's been about a year and a half since I last got them done. It was with the ombré powder as it was fading away already (I got it done by someone else). Christina was great! So easy to work with, a professional & will talk to U through each step of the way. She made my brows a little thicker too like I wanted & the color turned out great. She really made me feel comfortable & the pain wasn't even that bad. Thank U Christina! read more

Hats off to Christina! She is so talented, careful, and really listened to my very specific requests in shaping my brows. She made me feel very comfortable to ask for a tweak here and a tweak there until they were just how I like them. I had held off on getting microblading/shading done because I thought myself to be too much of a perfectionist and that I wouldn't be completely happy with the results. She proved me wrong and did truly an amazing job! At the second session, she perfected my vision and stayed patient with me the whole way through (major kudos). I'm so pleased with the results and will continue to go to her for other cosmetic treatments in the future!! read more
