As a working parent, it hasn't always been easy to balance my career with the desire to be present for every moment of my daughter's early years. That said, I feel so incredibly blessed knowing that while I'm away, my daughter is in the hands of people who truly love and nurture her. The teachers at A Child's Touch have played such a vital role in her development--they've been like a second family, helping raise her with patience, warmth, and care. While my daughter is naturally a happy girl, I know that her daily happiness is in no small part thanks to the incredible environment created at the school. She starts her day excited and comes home just as cheerful. It amazes me to see how much she has learned--counting to ten, reciting the alphabet, singing tons of full songs--and I know these milestones are a direct reflection of the amazing teaching and support she receives from the staff. This place has so much potential. For the most part it is staff who really care and they teach the children a lot - program wise it is great. They do charge a lot and close by 5:30pm which is impossible for most working parents. They charge $30 if you arrive at 5:31 so be prepared! Unfortunately there are two staff members who should not teach children who act like they have miserable lives. They were my child's teachers and every single day no smiles, not happy and not communicative to parents. My child loved her first year here, didn't struggle with goodbyes until she moved into this classroom and she would not want me to leave, one of the teachers walked up and grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her to the other side of the classroom telling her it's time to be at school and made her cry even more. If I could have missed work that day I would have. I do not feel children are safe in that classroom. He never once getting down on her level to try to make her feel comfortable or offer any sort of empathy. She told me she was scared to go every day. My last straw was when my child told me that another kid followed them into the bathroom and touched their private parts. They told the teacher and not only did I NOT get a call from the teachers, and NOT get an an incident report, they told me my child made it up. The office staff was absolutely useless, first claiming to "investigate" which just meant I had to follow up with them for any answer. They said it never happened. One of my child's teachers told my child in front of me that they made it up and that never happened. I had to demand my child was switched to another class room. I do not recommend. My child is still upset about getting touched inappropriately and I hate that it was met with absolutely no support. read more

We interviewed several daycare centers before visiting A Child's Touch. They all seemed so bland and boring. Once we walked through the doors of ACT we knew it was different. Derek showed us around and left us very impressed with how the daycare facility is being run. We have been taking our son here for a few months now and absolutely love it. Our son Zander has been going to A Child's Touch since 2011 when he started at 8 weeks old. Now he attends the School Age Program in the summer. A Child's Touch has been the best thing to happen to our family. I wish we would have found this incredible place years ago! Our son began attending in April 2013 and just had his last day before kindergarten. The rates for all age groups are truly unbeatable for the Denver metro area. Our son has never had a bad day at school and has never wanted to stay home since his start with A Child's Touch. The teachers are incredibly warm, intelligent, and responsive to the children's needs and learning styles. The office staff are always very helpful and quick to answer any questions. My Daughter has gone to A Child's Touch since she was a tiny tot. The staff here are outstanding, and truly care about the children. They are not a daycare/school that just show up for a paycheck. Everyday they teach my child something new and fun, that I get to hear about at the end of the day. Where as before in her old daycare we would ask her how her day was, and she would just tell us "fine". She loves her classmates, and every teacher she has had through the years. My sister in law and all of her children went to A Child's Touch when they were little. That shows you how long they have been in business, and the kind of effect the staff have on the families. My Daughter is about to graduate from kindergarten here, and my wife and I are very pleased with the hard work and Christian Values they have instilled in our child. She has grown and matured greatly since she has been here. Also I am in Law Enforcement, and a Former Military Police Officer. If you have ever served or have a family member that did, you will appreciate their service member memorial. I am very happy with the security precautions put in place in this facility. The positive accountability of each child is of the upmost importance to every staff member. They all take the time to learn the children's names even. Staff are the most professional and Kind people I have ever met in the childcare industry. They are one of a kind. Also we checked out so many other child care companies before making this decision, and for information you will not find a better school for the value. Almost every other school is very expensive. A Child's Touch is moderate in price. They outdoor play/learning areas are second to none, and are always being improved. Very impressive! Be very cautious of this school Our daughter was at this school for almost a month. One day I walked in and watched one of the teachers grab the back of her head and push it towards the ground while telling her to pick up her goldfish. My daughter was crying and had boogers all over her face and into her mouth. At the very least should they not be wiping our children's noses?? Assumed because of their "we have cameras everywhere" pitch that we'd be able to see and they'd get this person away from everyone's children. When I talked to the dean the first thing he told me was that if we were uncomfortable at the school he could give us our refund back. Later we find out that the camera is a fish bowl lense and zoomed out very far. After interviewing every teacher in the classroom, the next day, they told us nobody saw any "inappropriate touching" which makes me wonder if the teachers are used to this type of interaction between teacher and student. Once the footage was lightened and they saw her touch my daughters head (the camera was so blurry you couldn't see her move her head) they defended it by saying "we all pat kids on the head." The owner of the school sat and smiled at me while I was crying in their office. He gave us the exact same pitch he gave us during the walk through as if he was selling the school. They kept saying if it was true they'd have to get police involved and how one of the teachers is married to a police officer so they take mandatory reporting seriously. Almost trying to get me to say that it wasn't true or it was fine to drop it. This school only cares about what the children are doing once they get out of the class NOT the way they're being treated. Every day my daughter was there she'd run to me and cry and would not let me put her down until we left. They kept telling me she was adjusting but one week at a different daycare and she was happy and waving and walking me around when I picked her up at the end of the day. Her personality was altering at A Child's Touch and I'm just thankful I walked in when I did to get her out of this NIGHTMARE of a place. She is thriving at her new daycare and happy every single day. Being treated with love and care like the important tiny human being she is. Was not going to post here as I've already reported this school but since we're still on the email for some reason we received an email notifying parents they won't be able to enter the doors I walked through when I saw this incident during the day. This seems shady and gives the teachers more notice parents are coming. Is this to protect the students or the teachers??? Scary scary scary situation and be very cautious of this school and the way your child is reacting towards teachers!! Wondering if they've been around so long because they dismiss each concerned parent and move on to the next kid on the waiting list? Try to novice any cues from your child that something could be wrong and be very wary. I am terrified that the same thing could be happening to other people's children. My son has been attending A Childs Touch for about 2 months now and is in the infant room. We really love A Childs Touch! You can tell our son loves it because he is excited when he gets home and he is developing/learning a lot there. They take pictures and track things like feedings/diapers and everything which I like. I also love that they take pictures so you can see your baby while at work and what they are doing. They do sensory play with the kids, literacy boards and more which is great for learning. We recently moved back to Colorado and couldn't be happier with A Child's Touch for our son. The teachers are engaged and great communicators. My son was anxious when touring every other school except ACT. We felt at home walking through the door. My son has grown so much emotionally and academically because of the great teachers and fun structure, not to mention the amazing play area inside and outside. Our kids have been attending A Child's Touch for 3 years. The classrooms get better and better, and the teachers truely care about teaching. It may be a little more expensive than other day care facilities, but it is well worth the cost. My daughter has attended A Child's Touch for a year and a half now and we could not be happier with our experience. The teachers are the kindest and most caring staff at a child care that I have experienced in the past 7 years of day care experience. My daughter adores her teacher and loves her friends. The playgrounds on site are amazing, well kept, and spark adventure and imagination in the kids. The bible study lessons are great and are an extension to the values that we teach at home. The food provided is fantastic and has caused my picky child's palate to grow day by day. They supported me through potty training and made the process exponentially quicker. We have two kids at ACT currently and one that attended from age 2-5 (graduated from the kindergarten program there). We have loved ACT from the time that our oldest started there. Their facilities are amazing as well as all the teachers and staff. Our kids love going there and even our oldest has said many times how she misses going to ACT and wishes she could go there for more than just the summer months. My co-worker has a daughter that attended ACT 20+ years ago and she is the one that recommended it to me when we first started looking for daycares. We absolutely love this school. Our kids have attended A Child's Touch for the past 2 years. We opted to enroll our son in full time kindergarten in lieu of public school plus BASE. It is worth every penny! He absolutely loves school and he is reading 90 page children's books at age 5. The teachers give our daughter so much love EVERY day. She attended from age 2 to 4. Her vocabulary is huge and her fine motor skills improve every week. Everyone at the school is so kind and caring. I can't say enough good things. We drive past Goddard, Primrose, and KinderCare to take our kids to ACT. The 3+ acre facility (specifically the back yard) is like nothing else in Denver. They keep the kids engaged and active all year long. Tuition is competitive, hours are accommodating, and the curriculum is highly effective. More importantly, they teach my kids to be kind, respectful humans! I am so grateful we chose ACT for our kids. read more
