This place is REALLY bad everybody. This is not someone complaining about little things. There are MAJOR issues. Most pressing is the lax security. Their biometric scanner has been broken for like 2 years and every week, "We're having someone come out to fix it". Since it's broken they just buzz ANYONE in. I picked my daughter up maybe twice in almost 18 months and not a single time was I questioned or asked to show ID. Just to give some perspective our new daycare is tiny and maybe only has a total of 50 kids and they have TWO secure doors between the outside and the kids. TWICE my daughter was sent home with another girl's pants and no underwear. Day one we brought 5-6 pair of underwear and a few extra pair of pants. Every single week whether they were used or not my wife brought her clothes home and washed them and then took them back. When we called and asked why she was sent home without underwear they had no idea. I asked the teacher the next day and she said that they couldn't find her extra clothes. I walked over to my daughter's cubby and grabbed a bag full of clothes and showed it to the teacher. This place is the "Walmart" of daycare centers. They pack as many kids as they can into the building. In the morning they sometimes violate the rule for the number of teachers. I would drop my daughter off and there would be one teacher for 12-13 kids. The staff is confrontational and defensive if you report anything. We literally had no choice but to bring our daughter here and we got her out as soon as we moved into a new house. Two teachers from CLA currently work at my daughter's new daycare. They told us tons of horror stories about this place and how it's run. That's why they left and went to another center. Just please if you have to go here like we did then get on them about fixing the doors. I mean it. Have a friend of the family who is on your list but never been to the place before pick your kids up and I bet they walk right in and get them. read more

I do not recommend their summer camp. They made a lot of promises during the tour to lure us in but my kids didn't get to do half the things they showed them. My oldest spent most of her time on her tablet. I spent way too much money for what they got. Very disappointed! read more

PARENTS BEWARE!!! Children's Learning Adventure is currently serving a 6 month probation period for child abuse, child was bungee corded to a chair that caused bruising and a few month later they were called out for improper supervision, where two children were involved in inappropriate touching. There is a yellow probation letter around the corner on the east side of the facility. Like all parents when you drop your child off at a facility like this you expect them to be safe and enjoy there time. Shame on me for not researching this facility until after several incidents occurred to my child. He now has a loose front tooth from one of the incidents. I was told by one of the staff members that they are trying to improve and have passed all their inspections from the state. That's great.....but I will be taking my child to a facility that is trying to improve from an A to an A+, not an F to a D-. I have unrolled my child from this facility and I would recommend other parents do the same. Shame that a beautiful learning facility is ran so poorly! read more

We are so incredibly happy with the education and socialization that our daughter is receiving at The Children's Learning Adventure. Her first day, she baked a cookie, second day she played in their amazing gym! And everyday since has been finished with an everlasting smile and stories. Definitely worthy of a 5 star review. In addition, our daughters teacher, Mrs. Christina, is an amazing woman. She is wonderful with the children and has the patience of a saint. Thank you for everything you do! Lastly, the front desk and every other staff member I have interacted with have all been so incredibly nice and welcoming. They all make an effort to know each child's name and to welcome them every morning and wish them a great day when we leave. read more

We are extremely impressed with Children's Learning Adventure. Our little one is in preschool and is flourishing. We came from another preschool just a few months back and we have seen such a positive change in our child. Every day, he comes home and teaches us something new. He's excited to go to school. In fact, we barely get a goodbye hug when we drop him off because he is so excited to be in his classroom. He is so happy to learn and he's proud of all of his little projects that he brings home. We also love that every day is a little different for him, and he isn't stuck doing the same thing day after day. Our child is an extremely picky eater. But with the great food that is served, he is starting to try new things. We are so thrilled by this! We love the daily, weekly, and monthly communication we receive from Children's Learning Adventure. We know exactly what our child is learning and what he will learn during the month. Every question we've had has been answered quickly. The staff is always smiling and makes all of us feel welcome. This place has been the best decision for our little one. If you get the right teacher the learning experience is good for your child but, that factor is starting to not out weigh the negatives. 1) Security is lacking with the door scanner never working. 2) Teacher turn over is common so don't be surprised if your child ends up getting moved around to other rooms often with an end result of your child losing something and everyone blaming someone else for it. 3) You are always stuck at the end of the day having to search for your kid because no one writes down where they are. Best of all and (what ever parent loves) when you do find them the teacher that has your kid doesn't even know their name. Do I think the place is nice looking and has a lot of bells and whistles yes but, the organization of the place is lacking. End of the day I do not believe it is worth the price and do not recommend. read more

This place seems amazing. They are okay at things and I honestly think they are just new and haven't worked all the kinks out. I took my daughter here for majority of the school year and paid over $600/month for after school care M-F. Things are out of order a lot, or teachers are hard to hang onto. Culinary for example wasn't available due to no teacher for a while. Some of the teachers are great. It's hard to know where your kiddo is and for $600 I think that its crazy that things are broken for so long. read more

Very disappointed with my experience here. My 1 year old son was enrolled here for a total of 4 days before I pulled him out - on the first day, I get a call saying he bumped his head when he pulled out a shelf (?) When I went to go pick him up that day, they were supposed to give me a copy of the incident report but the copy machine must have not been working because I never got it due to the lady at the front was having issues with the copy machine. Also, same day, when he was picked up he was soaking wet. When I asked about it, the teacher said they were playing outside. (Side note: you have to provide 3 changes of clothes) When I went to his cubby, he still had 3 changes of clothes and his coat was dry. Red flag. Second day, no issues that I'm aware of. Third day (Friday), I get a call stating my son has symptoms of pink eye. Sure enough, he does. I get him the eye ointment he needs and I'm told he will be good to come back Monday. Monday after pickup, I noticed he was starting to get a rash - I wanted reassurance that they were using the wipes I provide, as well as the diaper cream I provide because he is sensitive to other brands. They insisted they were.. Well, as of yesterday (Tuesday) I get a call stating there are 2 cases of HFMD and they think he contracted it on his genitals (I would post pictures but they are obviously not appropriate). When I went to pick him up that day, as I walked in our son was crying on the floor and the teacher was ignoring him and reading a story to the other kids so that was disheartening to see.. she tried to play it off like he was fine but with every thing he had been going through with his health it just seemed inappropriate PLUS she didn't even know his name (I learned today she was a substitute). But wait, there's, more... same day, they pulled out $350 from my account for the week. I was told payments came out on Thursdays and it was only Tuesday so that was annoying. They tried telling me that they had tried taking it out last Thursday but it just now went through. Funny, nothing was ever pending and their enrollment fee and last weeks pay was taken out and it showed it was pending for those times... Red flag. BEWARE: if you unenroll your child, they require 2 weeks notice. I guess I would rather be robbed $750 than worry about my child's well being. The only thing "they could do for me" is offer me a $50 credit IF I keep my child enrolled. Stay away from this place. read more

My son has been going to children's learning adventure since September of 2017. The first 9 months was great. We really loved the teachers and the front desk staff and my son really flourished. I liked this center so much that I referred my step daughters mom here for summer camp. Then in June things started to fall apart. First it was billing issues. There were 2 different times that they charged us for weeks that my step daughters weren't scheduled to be there and 1 time they charged us on the wrong date. They worked with us the first time but after that they refused to refund the overdraft charges they caused. We ate about 100 dollars worth of charges due to their error. I wish now that I had pulled my son then but he was doing so well we decided to keep him at this center. Then all the staff left. We were not notified when my sons lead teacher left we only found out when her picture was no longer on the door. Care really started to suffer and they stopped putting my son who was potty training on the potty. They then raised rates by 5 dollars so we were paying more for less care. My last straw was picking up my son and finding him crying and barely able to walk due to a sever diaper rash that they failed to notify me about. We still had to give two weeks notice and that next week they charged us twice for his week of daycare. This again caused us overdraft fees that they would only refund half of. They did let us leave a week before the notice. read more

If your child is an infant and Bobi and Jessica are going to be their teachers then I highly recommend this daycare. HOWEVER, if your child is in any other classroom I would NOT recommend this daycare. They are unbelievably disorganized and never have any idea what is going with your child and/or in the classrooms. I frequently drop off my daughter and there are way more children in the classroom than there should be by law. Add to all that, the insanely high turnover this daycare has, which means that pretty much every time I pick up my daughter, it is a new teacher who I don't know and doesn't bother to introduce themselves. If I try to ask the closing teachers anything about my daughter's day, I often get the response "I have no idea, I wasn't here all day" or, even better, "Who knows, that room was a mess today". Overall, I would definitely not recommend this daycare to anyone. I am so uncomfortable with what goes on here, that I pulled my daughter out of this daycare before I can get her into another daycare and we are paying for a temporary nanny! read more

CLA is over-stimulating for children, and the toddler rooms are too narrow; they don't provide enough room for kids to have their own space. If your child has even a slight issue with biting, just the setting alone will cause that to be a much bigger issue. Then the staff will make it out like it is your fault or your child's fault, even though he is only 18mo old. I was asked to leave work and come pick my little one up on a few occasions because they were incapable of watching the children well enough to keep mine from biting one other child, who was constantly in his space pestering him. They punished him and me by sending him home, even though there is absolutely no benefit in doing this. Instead of working with us to come up with a solution or try to problem-solve (eg: provide more supervision during diaper changing time), they just threatened to kick him out. I need a reliable source of child care for my job, so this obviously was not a good match for us. I put my little one into a nearby school that I love 100x more than CLA. Every single person there is way friendlier (and just happier overall), they understand child development better and respond to issues more appropriately. I was nervous that my child being a biter would put him at risk of getting kicked out there too, but they assured me that, with proper supervision, children simply don't have the opportunity to bite. They watch the children and prevent biting by keeping a close eye on the biters AND on the children provoking the biting. And the rooms are larger. My child stopped having a problem with biting the day he stopped going to CLA. Additionally, CLA feels incredibly corporate. Pretty much everyone who works there seems a little stressed out and unhappy. The response to maintenance issues is super slow because corporate has to send someone out to fix things. The children are often out of ratio. My husband and I have both had to stay for 10-15min, (making us late for work), so that they could figure out their staffing and get the appropriate number of teachers in the room. And the teachers didn't seem happy either. Our lead teacher left right before we did because she didn't think the curriculum was up to par. She said it looked good on paper, but other nearby schools were much better in this respect. To sum it up..CLA is extremely impersonal and disorganized. All I can say is all the other posts are absolutely correct. We were blinded by the nice facility till we started noticing issues with our child. Kind of feel guilty that we waited too long and ignored the warning signs. The most disappointing part is we complained to them so hopefully its corrected or at least reviewed and the lady we spoke to said she would discuss with the teacher and get back to us. She sees us everyday and never followed up..as in over a month without any followup. That just simply sums up the disorganization there. Children's Learning Adventure has been AMAZING for our son! He is beyond prepared for Kindergarten and has the confidence to succeed in any social situation. The specialty rooms really add to the children's day. My son is constantly wanting to help in the kitchen and telling us about how to make goo, and other items from his science class. The teachers have really been supportive and passionate about teaching our child and making sure that his transitions are smooth and confident. read more

Children's Learning Adventure - Preschools Near Me - Thornton, Colorado

The place looks amazing from the outside and have great amenities to offer but is lacking in the customer service department. My daughter has attended both during the school year and the summer program, recently the Thornton location received a new school advisor and she is a joke, spoke with her on a number of occasions and is very rude. The accounting here has been messed up countless times where I have been charged for a full day when my child was at home with me, and most recently where I spoke to the head of the school as my child just returned to school attended 2 days before and after school was charged over $100, then see another charge for another $30 because she quoted incorrectly. I called to find out what the $30 charge was for and simply got the response " I told you the wrong price!" after we verified the program 3-4 times. I would not recommend this place to anyone! I would tell them to run as far and as fast away if they asked me in regards. read more
