I continued to bring up my concern over the last 7-8 months. I relayed that I was going to have to report it as we are very sensitive and today got a phone call that we need to part ways. I am being forced to remove my daughter from this facility because I refuse to accept an opinion without adequate air sample test throughout the building...... they have decided they will not pay for air test and that without even testing the air my worries are unfounded. this concerns me as a parent who values my child's environment.I have pictures of the vents.... I'm shocked that I was told that their primary focus is the safety of the children but they refused to supply an air sample..... that is in reality NOT putting the children first but rather settling on an opinion that may be wrong instead of being thorough..... the most careful and cautious decision is to remove my daughter and give me no say in the matter. caring for the children first would in fact be obtaining that sample and not whimsically going off an unfounded opinion. im shocked!

By 1903, two small schools, Bledsoe and Pleasant Grove, were combined and moved to a new two story building on the southwest corner of Highway 60 and Turkey Creek Road. The school didn't have air-conditioning in the building at that time, and teachers would open windows and vents to let air flow from classroom to classroom. In 1908 the first class of three students graduated from the new school. In 1927, a new 2-story brick building was completed. High school courses were added to the Turkey Creek School with a senior high graduating class in 1932. The Turkey Creek School like many schools in eastern Hillsborough County, was known as a strawberry school because it operated on a schedule based on the winter strawberry growing season. Strawberry schools closed for three months during the strawberry picking season in the winter rather than in the summer like most US schools. This practice was ended in 1956. Plant city is still known for its strong ties to strawberries. The Strawberry Festival held every March is one of the top festivals in the country. In 1972 the Turkey School closed but it is still owned by the Hillsborough County School District. The junior high school was converted into a middle school in 1995. In 1997 the building was saved from demolition and being turned into a parking lot. On March 2, 2001, it was added to the US National Register of Historic Places. A hstoric marker was erected outside the school in 2016 by the Hillsborough County Historical Advisory Council, Turkey Creek High School Alumni. The building currently stands empty as the school district struggles to find funds to finish restoring the building. If money was not an issue they would like to use the building as a library.

I add 2 hours to my drive every day to take her there (30 min there and back then again in the evening) because of how much I love and trust the ladies at this center. Theresa has been great with assisting in any kind of paperwork support or assistance helping us save a lot during challenging times. The ladies in the infant and tots rooms (especially Angela and Jackie) have been great and very patient with helping my daughter through some emotional times. She has had some separation anxiety as well as adjusting to new challenging things in our home due to family illness. They have been so patient and kind letting her adjust at her own pace and meeting her where she is at. I love the pictures and videos of different activities they do throughout the day! Keeps my mind at peace while I work. I would not be able to work and deal with everything else on my plate without you guys! Thank you for everything you do!
