The house salad, seemed smaller than on previous visits. Maybe a handful of iceberg with a couple of tomato slices and some shredded carrots . I seem to remember cucumbers in it before. The pizza came out quickly, piping hot . It was well done and crispy as ordered. A good amount of crumbled sausage and a decent amount of sliced mushrooms. The cheese was melty but not oily and the sauce was not overdone I.e, drowning the pie. All in all, still a good pie, the slices in a large pie are a bit smaller than the typical extra large pie slices on the east coast, but two filled me up.

We were told they close the dining room at 9:30. We definitely were not happy, but decided to roll with it. At the counter, we ordered 4 NY slices. The cashier said they only had two. When we asked how long a wait it would be for another two, he said they were not willing to make another two. By now, we were even more annoyed. I mentioned the 10pm notices on the website and the door, but he just shrugged. So with our two sluces, we ordered 6 garlic knots instead. For us, that could have been the end of it. But 5 minutes later, when another couple entered, the same cashier happily agreed to make them a stromboli and a fresh pizza. Now, how does that make sense?!? I'm not really a fan of waiting for a table, especially with our impatient teens, and I really prefer restaurants that take reservations. My husband got a lamb entree, my son got the chicken marsala, and I got the pomegranate chicken entree. Everything was delicious! Our server was fantastic. She was all over the floor waiting on her tables and came back to us repeatedly making sure we had everything. They have a great dessert menu and I appreciate the lighter option of cookies for when you just want a little bit of dessert. My son got the lemon cookies, and took some of them home. I also ordered extra lamb chops on the side and two veggie skewers, so this was not a small order. When I picked it up and checked everything, they had still included mashed potatoes instead of what I requested. I called the restaurant and explained what happened, but instead of simply apologizing and checking the order, I was told, "Oh, you didn't tell me that." I explained again that I had requested all salad/vegetables, and I was placed on hold. Since I was nearby, I walked back into the restaurant. They did correct the order and gave me the salad, which I appreciated, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. I understand restaurants get busy and mistakes happen, but customer service still matters. As a regular customer who continues to support the business, I think a simple, "I'm sorry about that, we'll fix it for you," would have made a big difference. I hope they improve how situations like this are handled because regular customers should still feel valued, even during busy times.
