The office is very small, which is fine but seriously limits space and selection of lenses. Lastly, I have eye insurance that doesn't cover much and the optometrist wrote for an expensive medication instead of telling me there is a much cheaper identical equivalent of the benign medication that I should have been prescribed instead to begin with. I had to research myself to find out that the medications have the same mechanism of action but one costs much less. More importantly they should tell their patients about medication options instead of living in fear. Despite me taking the medication for years without doctor or insurance issue, the optometrist was too scared she'd get in trouble if she wrote for the less expensive medication. So I unfortunately ended up finding out this optometrist is against continuity of care out of fear that prescribing the less expensive med (which treats the exact same thing) wouldn't be covered as medically necessary and get her in trouble. Lesson learned, seen an ophthalmologist. People are terrified to prescribe the most innocuous medications these days. It's infuriating to have to hunt for confident prescribers. This is unfortunately not uncommon to find prescribers too scared to do their jobs, but it's completely unfounded and puts more work and cost on the patient.

Jill does an outstanding service in working the insurance coverage so I can maximize my contacts and eye glasses purchase. My wife and I highly recommend Eye Couture. You will enjoy the exam and service.

Colleen is very helpful! Takes the time to make sure everything is done right. She actually made me…read morefeel welcome, and she was so incredibly helpful. I recommend her. She sees to it you have a good experience there. I can see! Yay!

I went in for my appointment and the doctor and staff were incredibly rude and made me feel like I…read morewas disturbing them. There was no one back for an eye appointment at all, so it was just the staff and myself, no one said "hi" or "welcome in." Instead it was "what can we do?" There were two women at the desk and the one looked at me like, how dare I come in and disturb them just sitting there, and she was the one who did my screening! I asked a question about why they do the air blowing in the eye because I just genuinely never knew why and I was curious, and you would've thought I just told her that Christmas was canceled. I've had eye exams all my life, but sometimes you just go with the flow and don't ask questions on why they do certain things, but now I know to never ask them anything, and when she took me into the exam room, she slammed the door shut. The doctor just came in, said "hi" and then we sat there in silence before he even introduced himself. He wasn't personable whatsoever, and again, made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. Plus, he clearly just came from lunch or had been eating before he came in and when his hands were adjusting the different lenses, all I smelled were onions. Not a faint smell that you really had to look for, but a, hit you in the face scent. He asked me about my lenses and I mentioned that it's been a few years since I've been to an optometrist, so I wasn't really sure what the lenses were or what all they included, even the same with my contacts. He looked at me like I was a complete moron and how dare I not know. They pushed me to get my eyes dilated and told them no, twice, and he said "so, you don't want the more expensive contacts.." No, I don't, I want what my insurance will cover and nothing more, I don't need anything fancy. That also seemed like that annoyed him. I honestly hate being the person that writes a review as I normally don't, because I know that my experience can be completely different from another person's. However, the Visionworks in the same mall, also took my insurance and I ended up going there afterwards and had a completely different, and much better, experience. Their glasses at LensCrafters are so expensive, I couldn't find anything under $350, which is only the frames! I bust my ass for my money and there's no way that I would pay that kind of expense on glasses. I honestly will never go back there for any exam or glasses because it was just a really bad experience and I don't like being made to feel like I'm not welcome, it was very uncomfortable. I'd honestly encourage people to go to Visionworks 100%
