Realizing I wanted to replace all the windows and patio doors, I delayed a year and contacted Frank when I was ready. First of all, Frank is a joy to work with. He was always communicative, prompt and friendly. He offered for us to come out to the showroom and see the windows and doors in person. I went with the Milgard Trinsic Windows and Doors. Second, the install team was excellent. Every day, they arrived on time and hit the ground running. Having a number of contractors for projects over the past 5 years, this team has been the best. I moved out of the house during the project, but I stopped by daily and everything was always cleaned up and in order. Third, I really appreciated the effort and thoroughness on the last day of cleaning the exterior and especially the interior of the house. The team takes great pride in their work and you can tell that is 100% employee owned. If I had to say there was a down side, its you may be in for a wait when placing your order because their work is in high demand (the first year quote, I would have had to wait 4-5 months). Finally, the windows and doors are beautiful. What a difference this made in regards to temperature, sound, and clarity. Not to mention, the ease at using the doors and the contemporary narrow frame modernized our home. We could not be happier.

It seems like every "window replacement" company out there refuses to just cut and install a new pane, even though doing so is one step in the process of total window replacement. Thankfully, Joe's Glass offers this service, and at a reasonable price. It took a couple weeks to get someone out to get me a quote, but once he arrived, the assessment was quick and pane-less. Afterward, a new window was ordered, cut and installed within two weeks. We were fortunate that this incident happened in the summer, as we've had virtually no rain for the month and a half it took to locate, schedule and execute a solution to our pane-ful problem. If it had been any other season, I probably would have been significantly more irritated and impatient. In regards to professionalism, price, promptness, and quality of work, Joe's Glass excels in all of these things. If all you need is some replacement glass, they're one of the few companies in the Portland area who will take on the job, and for that, I am eminently grateful. Just be aware that, depending on how busy they are, it may take some time before your problem can be assessed and addressed.

They were responsive and helpful, and constantly willing to support or adjust however we needed. The installation work is excellent, the windows are superb, and the work was done faster than expected. They are beautifully installed - really nice from the outside and inside. Multiple neighbors congratulated us when they saw, which was unexpected and kind of funny. The ambient difference is amazing. Our previous windows let in so much heat and the new ones are cool to the touch on the hottest days. Granted the old windows were failing, but still. It's a great feeling. He ended up having to order the glass for me. When I received the glass, the style was correct, but the squares in the design were a noticeably different size. I went in to return the glass but Brett was not in. The employee on duty had to call Brett. Brett had the employee put me on the phone, and after I discussed the issue with him he asked to speak to the employee again. Once he hung up the phone he told me that he could return the glass but would have to charge me a 20% restocking fee. Rather than dispute this with the employee, I decided to call Brett the following day. He did not return my call, so I called again the next day and got a hold of him. He refused to accept that they made a mistake and tried to tell me that they did me a favor by measuring the glass that was needed and ordering it for me. I asked him isn't that their job to help the customer and he tried to defend himself by saying that some people call it in and handle their business over the phone. I continued to request a refund based on their mistake and he said he had other things to do and hung up on me. I will never patronize this business or recommend them to anyone. Brett also told me that he was fining me a good deal, and the glass shop 2 miles away had the same product for $16 less. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I feel that no one deserves this type of service.
