Pretty much whatever she recommends to me is gold so when I was looking to try out micro blading for my first time, I knew I would be coming to Grand Arc. There aesthetician who did my brows was Jen and she did a really good job making me feel comfortable pointing out all the details and not missing anything. She was kind and patient with my questions and concerns and even taught me that mine were not balanced which I had not noticed ever before in 31 years of life! Until she said that I always thought every single pair of sunglasses and glasses I put on were crooked. Game changer! Jen is not afraid to tell you the truth and she encourages you to speak yours as well. I am totally satisfied with the way my brows look and Jen, such a dedicated aesthetician, even ran out of the door to make sure I didn't forget my after care kit as the door locked behind her to the shop. It was Saturday night we were the only ones there and luckily her colleague Nancy was available by phone so she was able to get the key and get back in. The vibe at Grand Arc is one of family, friendship and dedication. When people who work together are there for each other like that it's a clear sign of a business being run well which and that in turn gets projected onto the clientele. Thank you Jen @Grand Arc and crew for an amazing first microblading experience! #deep #dedicated

During the appointment, she was methodical and detail oriented. Continuously asking me if I had any questions or concerns. She addresses your concerns and has great knowledge. She would always let me know every step she was doing and when she was doing it which helped me ease into the process. She always informed me on what to expect. When she was finished she spent some time with me looking over the shape, tweaking and perfecting to make sure I am 100% happy with them. She doesn't rush you out of there like some appointments do. On top of all that she's very friendly and easy to talk to! After everything was done, she informed me on what to expect the next few days and carefully explained the after-care procedure and sent me step-by-step information. She even texted me the next day to follow up and check in. Overall, not only is she talented but she is definitely trustworthy and her customer service is great!

I recently decided to look into getting powder brows and after hours of research and trawling…read morethrough reviews, I settled on Brow Beauty with Melissa and it was the best possible decision I could have made. From the get-go, Melissa was patient with my questions, making sure that all my concerns were addressed in full. When it came to booking, the system releases dates for the next month on the first day of the current month and my advice would be to book ASAP. It floored me how quickly dates disappeared from the booking calendar - though that's also a pretty strong indicator of how popular/sought-after a brow appointment at Brow Beauty is! During the day of, Melissa was great with advising me on what shape/color would work best for me (she's the expert!) and definitely helped to put me at ease. The process itself was relatively painless and lasted a little over two hours. Afterwards, she was clear on how important post-care was - no exercise, stay out of direct sunlight and the ever important, don't pick at scabs! The healing process itself took about two weeks, and the best piece of advice I have for anyone going through this is to trust the staff and trust the process. Right after the appointment there was definitely some mild swelling (which I was forewarned about) and I'd read enough stories/reviews describing the post-appointment look as "Angry Birds." Thankfully, I had more of a "Mildly Concerned Birds" look during the first two days, but within the first week, the healing process started and the brows both lightened and thinned out - just as Melissa had assured me they would! I got compliments from coworkers straightaway and I was happy to tell them all about Melissa and Brow Beauty. After a month, the eyebrows settled and they look amazing - just went back for my touch-up and couldn't be more thrilled with the results. Many thanks to Melissa and Brow Beauty - you guys are incredible!

Her work is amazing and at any class we attend she is the star student... and her commitment to her craft? PRICELESS!!! I read a few of the reviews that mentioned her personality in a negative way. Shauna can be hard to get to know because she.. like many of us has baggage. We are the product of our past and we do our best to heal those scars and use the strength we derived from the wounds to build an amazing future. Because of her past... she has grown into an amazing woman. When you don't judge her based on a phone call or miscommunication and REALLY get to know her.. you realize she is one of the most real, sweet, supportive, talented, committed and loyal women you will ever meet. Shame on anyone who instead of reviewing the quality of her work.. chose to judge her personally. YOU and anyone who does not choose Shauna for your permanent cosmetics because of those words.. is seriously missing out. Shauna is one of the few in the world that I would ever let touch my face. When I went in for permanent eyebrows Shauna seemed short tempered to me. I've never had a tattoo…read moreso I'm not familiar with the process, which she did not explain to me at all. I had done my research online about permanent eyebrows and decided on Shauna after all the positive reviews. It bothered me are that she did not explain to me that 2 sessions are needed to test how the color you choose will look on your skin once the tattoo heals and the scabs fall off (BTW the pictures she posts on her website are taken right after she's done with the tattoo, the color and shape changes a lot after it's healed and scabs fall off). After showing her a picture of what I wanted my eyebrows to look like she dismissed it and drew something completely different on my face simply because she doesn't like the actress in the picture I showed her. This made it harder to achieve the look I wanted and after the first session my brows didn't look like what we had agreed on. I ended up with big gaps between strokes and had to continue filling in my eyebrows with a pencil because the color was too light. On the second session I explained to her what I did not like about the eyebrows and after going back and forth I finally ended up with the color I wanted and the shape I wanted. I was expecting that after the first session and seeing how the color reacted on my skin she would know what color to use to achieve what I had asked her for, but she didn't. I had to choose the color for myself. During this second session she was very short with me, didn't apply enough freezing so I had to endure the pain, to which she said "sorry, you just have to suck it up". Yes, she is very clean and has many certifications, there's no question about that, but after my experience with her I will keep looking for other alternatives when the time comes to redo my brows. It's also $300 every time you need a touch up. I have a friend that goes to an Asian salon that charges a fraction of that and her eyebrows look very good too - but they don't speak English there, that's why I went with Shauna.
