Batteries to be had for all!
    Dc B.

Had my car repaired by these guys today. Very knowledgeable staff. I needed my voltage regulator replace on my ole trusty Volvo. They did it pretty quick and for a fare price. Mike runs a great shop! I would recommend them for any of your Battery ,Alternator or Starter needs. Cheers!

Careless work.. Scratches your car and will not admire their mistake

I called the Clackamas location and Mike was super helpful and quoted me a reasonable amount.

I don't think we were there more than 20 minutes before we were called up to the desk and told that the tire was repaired and we were good to go. No charge. I don't know of any other business in this day and age that doesn't charge for their service. Thank you Les Schwab.

Dishonest employee I…read morecalled and made an appointment to have my tires rotated and new front brakes installed. When I checked in for my appointment I learned this location does not pre-order parts even when an appointment is made. I waited approximately 30 minutes for confirmation that brakes were needed (something that was confirmed the last time I was in). I then had to wait for the parts to arrive before the work could begin. About 2.5 hours after my appointment time, I was told my vehicle was ready. After paying, I went out to my vehicle and noticed the driver's side front rim was still coated in brake dust. (The Clackamas location cleans them with every free tire rotation). Not only was it clear my rims weren't cleaned, it was also clear my tires hadn't been rotated. I went back inside and they called the technician, Austin, in to speak with me. I asked if my tires had been rotated and he told me they were. (My account also noted they were). I told him it was clear they weren't rotated since my brake dust coated rim was still on the front. I asked that he complete the work. While waiting, the assistant manager, George, came to speak with me. I explained my concerns and he went to speak with the technician. I then learned the full story. Austin rotated one pair of tires, but he wasn't able to remove one of the back tires due to a cross threaded lug nut. Instead of telling me, he left the tire on and marked the rotation as complete. He knew he didn't complete the tire rotation and lied to my face. He also put me at risk of not being able to remove my wheel in the event of a flat tire. George was responsive and helpful. He had the stud and lug nut replaced at no cost (the tires have only been touched by Les Schwab so it was most definitely their responsibility. But I am concerned this was never disclosed to me. It had to have happened during my last tire rotation). He also removed the labor costs from my invoice. However, 5.5 hours of my time was not worth it. I am a long time customer of Les Schwab. But for a company that prides itself on trust and doing the right thing, this experience definitely left me questioning the integrity of their employees.

My single mother took her car in for an oil change and a general service. She came to me and asked me to look over their recommended repairs after they claimed she needed a $4,000 fix. The list of repairs they recommended did not have any pricing written on it. Their $4,000 repair was quoted between $350 and $800 at other mechanics. On top of that, they tried to get her to agree to repairs without hearing the price first - an illegal act. I stopped them and asked for prices. They were going to charge her $100 for an engine air filter. When called out, they said it must be an error and they reduced their price to $70. I said no and did it myself for $20 and 5 minutes of my time. That was only one of their recommended repairs. We will be going to another mechanic for the major repairs. I am reporting them to the consumer protection agency for whatever good that will do. Long story short, their name is apt. They will try to rob you. Before accepting any work from them, get a quote for the repair in question and ask a couple other mechanics if it is fair. Or at the very least, ask a friend, family member, or even your favorite AI assistant. Just whatever you do, do not blindly accept their suggested repairs.

As a female I didn't have a great experience here. Now the shop itself was easy to find, plenty of…read moreparking, clean, and the guy I spoke to was pleasant. But that is where the positives ended for me. I guess I should have known it wasn't the place for me since there were no other people there, no cars in the parking lot and only one being worked on inside which may have been their own. I called ahead to inquire about having the headlights in their entirety or bulbs in my headlights changed because they were dim at night and was quoted $60-- no clarification for which repair this was for but I assumed bulbs only. I figured this was due to some inflated labor charge for wasting their time with a minor issue without being a returning customer but I went anyways. Now let's be honest... changing a light bulb in a car that does not require the removal of the battery or bumper-- just a simple screw and 2 clamps should not cost more than an oil change. We're not talking new battery, electrical system, new wires, switches or anything major. There was no accident with bodywork included-- this was just a simple dim headlight. I ended up having bulbs already from auto zone so I asked if I needed to pick up anything else before coming and they said they had it all in stock. When I arrived there were only 2 much older guys working and the one who came out and took a quick peak at my car in the parking lot decided that I should replace both my entire headlight assemblies since changing just one meant they would no longer match since they order from Napa and these were not OEM parts-- not that I care about that it's an older car I just wanted to be able to see at night. Nonetheless he went on to tell me they in fact didn't have the parts in and would need 2-3 days, even though I called ahead and he supposedly checked the computer then. The price estimate he gave me was approximately "upwards of $430 or so" depending on labor-- even though the labor for this procedure is no where near an hour and a half and the parts he was quoting me for was what I would expect a dealer to charge for OEM parts not the after market parts he told me they used. I suggested I could get the parts myself and was *lied to* and told that Napa supplies all of OR & WA and that's who he contacted about my part and they were out but could get it in approx. 2 days. When I looked at him crazy he said he could call the dealer for me and see if they had it in stock but it would likely increase the price to over $600 because they'd be charging more like $250 a piece. It was like he was allergic to telling me the truth. I may not pee standing but I'm not a fool. I'd already been to O'Reilly's who could get them the next morning for half the cost this guy was quoting me but I'm just a girl in Hello Kitty scrubs so how could I possibly know that Napa is not the "Only" auto part supplier in the entire pacific northwest?! I have changed my own turn signal bulbs and there are so many YouTube DIY videos up that make changing out headlamps so ridiculously easy taking less than 10 minutes I just thought a mechanic would be quicker and save me the trouble of doing the work. The parts are easily found online for a 3rd of what he quoted me so I left feeling pretty insulted. I found my part for approx $55 online that included the bulbs and did it myself. Everywhere I looked the part was between $40-90 each due to varying brand, accessories and shipping charges but nobody came close to charging me over $160 to $250 a piece. A bulb alone can be anywhere from $8-30 depending on the type you get. The only tool needed was an 8mm socket and ratchet. The labor on this kind of service should have been at max a half an hour if I, as a non-mechanic female, who doesn't even have to pump her own gas in the state of Oregon can figure out how to do this in 15 minute I think you guys could have done it in at least a half an hour. In total I paid $107 for my 2 complete headlights which is a far cry from what they quoted me. Every guy in Auto zone & O'Reilly's and everyone I work with that I mentioned this repair estimate to just shook their heads, scoffed and said "You should have sent your husband in." Like it's just known that this is what mechanics do to women. I will definitely not be returning to this shop because if you cheat someone on something as small as this service I hate to see how you treat someone with a real major problem with their car. Females are likely you're biggest customer since men generally can do *some* of their own car maintenance so you should really learn how to treat your female customers. S/N: And ladies... if you have a relatively simple repair, Google it first for cost estimates, do some of that price checking we're so good at, ask your friends, or go to a mechanic you know and trust because there is no good reason for us to be getting cheated out of our hard earned cash by shysters like this just because we don't want to get our hands dirty.
