I took my dress blue top in to get new hash marks sewn on. I picked up my uniform and the new hash marks were sewn on but it didn't have my old stuff pinned to it. I asked the guy working where my stuff was and he replied, "you didn't ask for them back so I threw them away". I shouldn't have to ask for my stuff back because it is mine. After telling him that I want them back or to be reimbursed for them "gold hash" he gave them back to me. He then tells me that the next time I need to ask for them back when dropping them off. Ask for them back? Its my stuff. They are stealing the items and then reselling them to people coming in. They have tubs full of old stuff they take off of uniforms. read more

I paid a little over $15 to have two warfare devices sewn onto my NWUs and they were able to provide an incredibly quick turn around of 2 days. My request was an easy job of a standard alteration that they have to have numerous customers request. So imagine my surprise when I go to put the blouse on and the sleeve is partially sewn shut. Not with one stitch but numerous. Then I looked closer at the job and it's horrible quality. The stitching looks like a child completed it, the knots are sloppy in tying off the ends, the length of stitching is laughable, and in multiple places other portions of my blouse are sewn into the tails of the stitching for the top warfare device. The bottom warfare device is just as bad but for other reasons, the old stitching is still present and sewn on top of so I can't remove it and the pocket was literally sewn shut. I could pop this open, but then after a wash or two the warfare device will fall off my uniform. Did the job get completed, yes. Was it done well and I could wear my uniform with pride, absolutely not. read more

Absolutely the most unprofessional service in Imperial Beach! Been coming here since 2005 and they were amazing. I've recommended this business to over 100 people, but now I would push against the service of this business to anyone with the ability to communicate. The last 3 consecutive visits my clothing was not serviced properly, they didn't meet their promised timelines, cashier machine didn't work, and worst of all there was ZERO accountability. Just go to Amier's Tailor Shop Instead I dropped off an item to be sewn on a Friday, when I returned Monday to pick the item up, they told me that they "couldn't find it". They said they would search to find it. Once they did find it I went to pick it up and they told me that I couldn't because I didn't have cash. No where in the building does it say cash only. And they still wanted to charge me for the item even after losing it and making me wait an additional 24 hours. This wasn't a rush item either. They had an entire weekend to get it done and not lose it. I'd would highly recommend going to "Amier's Tailor Shop" in Coronado instead. Much better service. read more

After I was told to come all the way from north San Diego down here I called several times. Ensuring it was ok to come with my suit to get it pressed. I was told yes I will get it done for you on the spot. So I come down. The man is not there. Not only did the laundry mat smell. Was not well kept, also the shaggy haired boy who tended the desk says he left at noon. I stated that I called and spoke with someone after 12:00 so how is that possible. He smirks and says idk. Fast and efficient. I dropped off my uniforms to have some badges sewn as well as my pants hemmed. This happened on Sunday and they were ready for pickup on Wednesday, which was good with me as I didn't need them until Thursday. They even let me drop off another badge on Tuesday to get sewn on with no hassle. I will definitely tell people about this place, especially if you're only other place is the Navy Exchange which usually quotes up to two weeks. So yeah, I am more than satisfied. read more

I've used this company before for a couple blouses and had no issues. However, 3 weeks ago I turned in 3 pieces of clothing including a very expensive white suit. When I finally put it on 3 days after picking it up, I didn't realize that when it was returned to me, there was a giant faded water stain ring around the entire collar line of my blazer from when they tried to "clean" it. I was infuriated and didn't have time to address it with them before I had to wear it and didn't trust them to fix it, so I took it to another cleaners afterward. I had a pleasant surprise here recently; Richard helped me out with some name embroidery, on very short notice. I couldn't get the work done inside of a week at Ace, so I came by this small shop, located across from the 7-11, a couple of blocks from Mar Vista High. I was warmly greeted, and promised two embroidered polo shirts by 6:00pm, which was honored well. The shirts themselves were very nicely done, placed on hangars and bagged. Family-run operation here, and they really try hard to please. I'll be back, and based on the embroidery work they did for me, I would highly recommend this locally-owned shop. read more

I got a pair of jeans tailored here and they absolutely ruined them. I asked to have the waist taken in and the tailor ended up taking in the entire waist and hips of the pants. Even worse is that they took the waist in far more than I had asked them to and now I can't even put the jeans on. Additionally the sewing was sloppy as seen in the photo. I dropped off three uniforms to get dry cleaned, pressed, and some items sewn on. I had taken uniforms here in the early to late 2000s with no issues. The man that I was speaking with didn't understand what I needed done, despite it being advertised on their wall, so I provided him with photos, exact measurements, and the items that I needed sewn on. I showed him the photos on my phone, which he dropped on the floor as he was showing the tailor. After picking my phone up like nothing happened, and talking with the tailor, he told me everything was good and understood. I picked up the uniforms on my way to the airport, had a cursory look, and left town. Upon arrival to my out-of-town location, I pulled the uniforms out of the garment bags and saw that all of the work was very poorly done and not in line with any of the measurements or photos that I provided. If I wasn't so livid, it would've been comical. Items were sewn on backward, sewn in the wrong locations, poorly cut out before being sewn on, and attached with mis-colored thread. After spending $94 at AB Brite, I had to take all three uniforms to another shop and spent $50 to have literally all of the work redone. The only thing I thought they got right, turned out to be an illusion, as they had actually pressed extra creases in both my uniform top and trousers. I should have taken a better look at the work when I picked the uniforms up, but I was enroute to the airport and would had to have accepted them anyway. I took for granted that the old AB Brite that I knew was still a professional establishment with decent standards. Despite numerous photos of the shoddy work and of the corrections I was unable to get any compensation for paying to fix their mistakes. Never again will I take anything here, nor will I suggest this business to anyone; in fact, I've been a vocal advocate against them for a couple of weeks in hopes that I can help others save time and money. read more

I took a dress for dry cleaning to take on my vacation. I am in my vacation right now and i took the dress out of the garment bag and a string to tie it with is gone. You cannot wear this dress without the back string because it falls to the front. I have been calling them all day long and they do not pick up 12/22/2017 2:37pm. Once i am back in town 12/27/17 I am going to complain and if they do not take care of it I will be really upset. This dress cost me $200 dollars and I always take my clothes here and I have never had a problem until today. I will keep you posted. read more

So I don't know if this dry cleaners has new owners/management or what because I have always brought my uniforms into this place since they did a great job and were very fast. I have dropped off 4 different items in the last week. The first time was two uniforms and a dress, I went in on the day they said would be ready and gave them my ticket. They spent 20 minutes looking for it and then the girl came to me and said it wasn't ready yet, then not even a minute later the guy came up and put my stuff, which was dry cleaned and everything, on the hook. So that tells me she lied to me which is definitely not good customer service. The second time I went in was today to pick up an item which only needed a zipper fixed, simple right?... well she told me it would be ready Tuesday, I went in today, Thursday and yet again they took 15 minutes WITH my ticket to find my item only to tell me "it's not ready and if I can wait an hour it will be done". Terrible customer service, and the quality of the dry cleaning has gone down as well. My uniforms were still wrinkled in some places when I got them back. I am going to pick up my last item and will not be returning. read more

Been a customer for four years. No longer. Began noticing a change in quality of work about a year ago, and asked if it was still owned by the same family. Was told yes. Today was told differently when complained about a tear in a recently cleaned garment for my wife. They absurdly blamed the prior owners for the tear, asserting the sweater had been cleaned before they took over the business. Simply untrue. It had been cleaned within the last four months. Regardless, they had no interest in resolving the problem, but were more focused on shifting the blame. Good luck to them.
