With all the great reviews, I was really surprised with how rude Jen, answering the phone was. I happened to be in the area and called to see what they charge for an oil change. Right away the tone was negative. She didn't even ask what I drove, and acted like I was dumb for asking. Whatever, it not like she's working on my car anyways. So I asked if they were busy and the response was "Yea, we're always busy. We're booked a week out". Cool, if you don't want my business, I'll go elsewhere. Sorry I wasn't able to see if you guys do good, honest work. Maybe hire someone who's front facing that's a little more kind to your potential customers. read more

Dave is about as honest as a mechanic can get. In an industry that has a bad rap for integrity, this place beats the stereotype. I brought my pickup truck in with a self-diagnosed steering linkage problem (a known problem for my truck) and Dave gave me the lowest labor estimate for the work. After he looked at it, it turned out that my problem was my front tires were coming apart, causing the aforementioned steering linkage issue. He could have easily done the work I thought I needed, but he didn't and saved me $2k. I do most of my own maintenance on my truck and only farm out what I can't do myself. This was my first time ever taking a car to a mechanic because I am very hesitant to let anyone touch my car. The A/C in my car went out suddenly and it sounded like I needed new brakes. So my friend suggested that I take it to Dave. When he looked at my car he told me some things were wrong with my car, but he was honest with me explaining what things were immediate fixes and what could wait and how long to wait. He was very polite and friendly with me in also explaining what these parts do and why it is important. He got all the work done in a timely fashion AND cheaper than some other quotes I had received. I knew I needed to find a mechanic ASAP when my engine light started flashing and car was shaking, etc. I was quoted something absolutely ridiculous at another auto shop. I called around and finally found A+ Automotive. Dave took the time to listen to what was wrong with my car and explained to me in layman's terms what needed to be fixed, how much the parts cost, etc. Then he quoted me a price much lower than I had originally heard from the other guys. I've had SO MANY problems with my car (not their fault, got some faulty parts) and they've bent over backwards, worked late into the evenings, helped me out free of charge, done every dang thing to get my problems solved. A+ Automotive was recommended to me by a friend, so I figured I would try them out, as I needed some work done on my truck. They DEFINITELY earned the A+ that their name implies. (I shopped around each time) - When they tell you they are going to finish by a certain time, they do it every time. - HONESTY! HONESTY! HONESTY! If there is a less expensive route to solving a problem, or something that could be fixed but doesn't really need to be, they tell you. No up-selling at all. They actually saved me a few hundred bucks one time and absolutely didn't have to do what they did (long story. We've been taking our two cars there for servicing since the shop opened a couple of years ago originally because it is close to my job, and now because of their outstanding service. Our 2002 Toyota with 225K miles started having a problem with the engine light coming on even though it was running perfectly, and the smog test was looming. The cause was very elusive and was not resolved by an extensive servicing. However, Dave was determined to find and correct it and he put a lot of his own hours into tracking it down. He took it on as a personal and professional challenge, and he succeeded. We expected a huge bill for the labor hours invested, but in the end he only charged us for the procedure that was required to solve the problem. My sister broke down next door to this shop on her way to babysit our newborn, just a few blocks away from our home.
