I've been using these guys for about 7 years now for all 3 of my vehicles. I've now moved to the next town over and I still make it a point to come here. They are always kind and courteous. They are always willing to work with your schedule and they are always fair on price. They will never over sell you on anything. They are looking to make lifelong customers here not just in it to make a buck. Highly recommended. read more

With all the great reviews, I was really surprised with how rude Jen, answering the phone was. I happened to be in the area and called to see what they charge for an oil change. Right away the tone was negative. She didn't even ask what I drove, and acted like I was dumb for asking. Whatever, it not like she's working on my car anyways. So I asked if they were busy and the response was "Yea, we're always busy. We're booked a week out". Cool, if you don't want my business, I'll go elsewhere. Sorry I wasn't able to see if you guys do good, honest work. Maybe hire someone who's front facing that's a little more kind to your potential customers. read more

Good listeners, detail oriented, knowledgeable mechanics, straight shooting answers on diagnosis and repair costs and time.

I love this place! I was referred to A+ by Firestone when they could not perform the work needed on my car. Service was fantastic and prices incredibly reasonable! I will be taking all of our vehicles to A+! read more

Excellent service! I will be back, he didn't even charge me, gave great advice which I did and was able to get smogged elswere

I've only trusted Dave for 15+ years. He is always honest, straight forward and does things right!

If I could leave a 10 star review I would, and that's saying something for an auto shop. Dave and Jen are next level and go above and beyond to take care of clients & their cars. I trust them and appreciate how efficient and transparent they are. Their services are reasonably priced and they even partially refund labor if they don't use the entire hour. Never seen an auto shop do that and it absolutely gained my trust. You'll be in good hands with them. read more

Had an engine failure due to a failed part. Dave took great care of me and Jen in the office kept me informed. Quality repairs and a shop you can trust. Thanks again read more

I'm a senior lady- just the type mechanics like to overwhelm with bad news and expensive "necessary repair "for my 2017 Nissan Rogue. After being loyal to the dealer for maintenance for 3 years, I started to balk at their charges for routine mileage based service. Then I remembered Dave! I used to take my Honda to him- always did a great job at a fair price with honest evaluation. And now I'm back at A+ automotive satisfied and confident. Sending my daughter with her Honda Civic- I'd send you too, if you asked me! read more

Trust is the number one criterion most people want in an auto mechanic. Dave is trustworthy, honest and reliable. He also charges modest rates and searches for parts that are both correct for your vehicle and competitively priced. If you have tried the rest, time to try the very best. A+ Automotive. read more

Dave is about as honest as a mechanic can get. In an industry that has a bad rap for integrity, this place beats the stereotype. I brought my pickup truck in with a self-diagnosed steering linkage problem (a known problem for my truck) and Dave gave me the lowest labor estimate for the work. After he looked at it, it turned out that my problem was my front tires were coming apart, causing the aforementioned steering linkage issue. He could have easily done the work I thought I needed, but he didn't and saved me $2k. I do most of my own maintenance on my truck and only farm out what I can't do myself. Dave's place will be my first stop when that occurs. read more

Dave and his team helped get my son car up and running again. I can't thank everyone enough for fast, reliable and great customer service shown to us!! Definitely recommend!! read more

Dave is great! Always very nice and thorough. He never does anything to your car without discussing the cost.

Very honest and knowledgeable automotive repair shop! Had them fix my truck which would have been triple the price at a dealership. At the time I didn't have the time to fix it myself so called around for some quotes and this place was the most reasonable. They didn't overprice the parts and showed me what they fixed. I will definitely return for additional repairs. read more

I was looking for a new mechanic, as my previous one closed down his shop. There are two things everyone should have. A good barber/stylist, and a good mechanic. Now I have both. A+ Automotive was recommended to me by a friend, so I figured I would try them out, as I needed some work done on my truck. They DEFINITELY earned the A+ that their name implies. I have returned a few times now for work on our vehicles over the last year. Why the 5 stars? This is why: - The owner/technicians are VERY professional, experienced and knowledgeable. - The price has always been absolutely unbeatable. (I shopped around each time) - When they tell you they are going to finish by a certain time, they do it every time. - HONESTY! HONESTY! HONESTY! If there is a less expensive route to solving a problem, or something that could be fixed but doesn't really need to be, they tell you. No up-selling at all. They actually saved me a few hundred bucks one time and absolutely didn't have to do what they did (long story. PM if you actually want details). - I have sent others to A+, and they all felt the same way I do. Finally, not that it's terribly important, but they are a genuinely nice, friendly and fun to talk to group of guys. Not a requirement in my book, but definitely a huge plus. That's it. Enjoy. read more

This is the best Shop in town. I brought my 96 Pathfinder here twice, for all kinds of problems... Dave and Jeff know how to take care of their customers. They're honest, their work is precise and their pricing is really good, compared to most other mechanics that have worked on my clunker... I recommend this shop to all my friends in the area! read more

Brought my Toyota in for service ( oil, brakes and gasket) the guys provided great service at a reasonable fee. Thxs Dave.

This was my first time ever taking a car to a mechanic because I am very hesitant to let anyone touch my car. The A/C in my car went out suddenly and it sounded like I needed new brakes. So my friend suggested that I take it to Dave. When he looked at my car he told me some things were wrong with my car, but he was honest with me explaining what things were immediate fixes and what could wait and how long to wait. He was very polite and friendly with me in also explaining what these parts do and why it is important. He got all the work done in a timely fashion AND cheaper than some other quotes I had received. I was so satisfied with the work that I went back to get some additional work done. As long as I live in the Bay Area I will continue to go back here and I highly suggest others do too! read more

Great mechanics and really nice staff. I have 2 Subarus that I have brought to them. They helped me save $800 on a transmission job by telling me about a recall that I did not know about. They also were great when I had 2 broken headlights a few months ago. I am glad to have a trustworthy place to bring my cars. read more

I knew I needed to find a mechanic ASAP when my engine light started flashing and car was shaking, etc. I was quoted something absolutely ridiculous at another auto shop. I called around and finally found A+ Automotive. Dave took the time to listen to what was wrong with my car and explained to me in layman's terms what needed to be fixed, how much the parts cost, etc. Then he quoted me a price much lower than I had originally heard from the other guys. (Phew!) They were super busy but he knew how urgent this needed to be fixed and fit me in that following morning! Now my car runs so smoothly after the tune up! This place is a serious lifesaver! They know exactly what they are doing, are very trustworthy, and ridiculously friendly. Something you definitely do not see with every auto shop. My new go to stop for any concerns with my car! Thank you A+ Automotive! read more

If you are searching for a mechanic on yelp, your search is over, you've found the answer. I'm not sure if I can express through simple words how honest and hard working this team is. I've had SO MANY problems with my car (not their fault, got some faulty parts) and they've bent over backwards, worked late into the evenings, helped me out free of charge, done every dang thing to get my problems solved. I didn't know there were good, honest mechanics like Dave out there anymore, wow, what a gem. Every time I'm there even though they are so busy I get some nice time to chat with him, and he usually fixes a lil broken thing for free, what a guy! I feel so lucky I found a mechanic I can stick with for life. read more

Awesome service, very friendly staff, trustworthy mechanic and timely repair. I would highly recommend this repair shop.

We moved to Santa Rosa from LA 3 years ago with no idea about who to maintain our two PT Cruisers. I looked on Yelp for some reviews and A+ stood out because of the many positive reviews. Went over and met owner Dave and the staff and had them service both cars. Was quite satisfied. They have taken care of these 2 and when we bought a third Cruiser, a GT Turbo convertible that had been stored in a winery warehouse in St Helena for a few years, they brought it back to life and serviced it like new. I believe they do a more competent job than when our cars were serviced at the selling dealership CarMax in LA... read more

I have been bringing all my vehicles to Dave's shop, A+ Auto, for more than 6+ years. A+ Auto is the only one that I trust due to Dave's honesty, integrity and ability. Dave is absolutely amazing! I used to be scared to take my car in to get anything done to it, in fear that I would be leaving spending a bunch of money. I have been to A+ automotive a few times now, with both of my cars and I could not be more pleased with the service that I received there. Dave is always so honest and truthful, and I truly know that he is not trying to just make money off of me. He truly cares about his business. I feel like he is a family member that I'm taking my car to, and I feel like I'm always getting the "hook ups" on the price. I actually get excited to know that I can get whatever I need done to my car, and it's going to be done right, and I can actually afford it. I've only met Dave a handful of times and wife (who works up front) is super sweet and sincere as well. Amazing family, and an amazing business. Five stars all around read more

I've come here a few times over the last several years and have always had a pleasant and easy experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they are reasonably priced. They have a strong desire to help and value customer relationships, and they don't take advantage of clients and charge for every little thing they can, which I've unfortunately experienced with other auto shops. I've bounced around to a few mechanics in the past few years after my previous mechanic retired, but I'm consistently happy with A+ Auto's service and courteousness. They are my new go-to! read more

A+ Automotive gets a big A+ from me! We've been taking our two cars there for servicing since the shop opened a couple of years ago originally because it is close to my job, and now because of their outstanding service. Our 2002 Toyota with 225K miles started having a problem with the engine light coming on even though it was running perfectly, and the smog test was looming. The cause was very elusive and was not resolved by an extensive servicing. However, Dave was determined to find and correct it and he put a lot of his own hours into tracking it down. He took it on as a personal and professional challenge, and he succeeded. We expected a huge bill for the labor hours invested, but in the end he only charged us for the procedure that was required to solve the problem. They earned my business. I had a leaky tire, had to get back to Sonoma from Santa Rosa. On hottest day of the year, Kyle stopped his work in the afternoon to check and fill my tires.
