I recently had a rodent infestation in my house and these guys were a lifesaver.
First, a little background. I had noticed a while ago that there were sounds of scurrying and squeaking in my attic, but procrastinated calling someone. In the past, I had an exterminator who was great, but wasn't really interested in dealing with rodents, and the advice I got from a Google search wasn't helpful either. I was learning to put up with my uninvited roommates until one evening when I saw a small rat scurry across my living room floor. I called four different critter services, and couldn't get anyone to call me back after 8pm. These guys did, and without being too dramatic, saved my house from those little monsters.
Rats are tricky. Exterminators mostly deal with bugs and most aren't properly trained to handle them. All of the advice on the internet is pretty much wrong too (Owl feathers in the attic? Seriously?). These guys are rat experts...ratologists? Service was thorough. It started with one of their techs catching the rat in the house (with his bare hands, like some kind of ninja), and then sealing every possible point of entry on the outside of the house, with contractor-level precision - every attic vent has an (aesthetically pleasing!) metal grate over it, roof vents are covered with steel and foam, etc. They then set traps in the attic and garage, and came by several times to check, clear, and reset the traps. After everything had been caught or blocked from entry, they deodorized and cleansed the attic of rat droppings and odors. This is a full service deal.
Everyone I worked with was polite, friendly, punctual, and professional, and they worked around my busy work schedule. Heck, I even learned quite a bit about rats in the process (apparently, raccoons love marshmallows, and opossums love red twizzlers). They also handle other critters, including squirrels, opossums, raccoons, and other members of the urban critter menagerie. Best of all, the entire service was quick and very affordable.
In conclusion...if you have a critter problem, don't ignore it like I did. Call these guys. You'll be glad you did. read more
