The steak was delicious and the fries were good, as well. The bartender and I talked about the area and discussed the bad weather they've been having lately and I asked about Castlewood. Their bartenders are absolute gems, slinging drinks and banter with the charm of seasoned storytellers who somehow remember your name after one visit. One quirky touch is how the floors creak underfoot, like they're gossiping about all the pints spilled before you. Strangely enough, the soup of the day was tequila, a boozy curveball that had the whole place toasting with confused delight and empty bowls.
