Stop 1 of 10 for SD, stop 16 ytd, on our Hundreds of Hops self-guided US Hop Passport Brewery Tour (Amazing Brewery Race) We came in as a party of 2, within an hour of opening, for our BOGO Hop Passport beer and a pizza. The greeting was less than enthusiastic but not rude. We were seated at a 4-top & given menus. I'd describe the table service as robotic. I thought the finishing salt was a nice touch on the pizza, we went with the 12" Earl of Wales. It wasn't overly salty or soggy. We found both the food and the beer to be good & the prices were reasonable. They missed taking off for one beer, but quickly fixed it at check out. I believe it was an innocent mistake. We left satisfied with our choices, overall. By the time we were leaving, it was rather busy. It appears to be well -liked by the locals.

Best pizza I've had in a while. The crust is on another level and the ingredients are ultra fresh and tasty. The creations are *chefs kiss.* Angry Dragon. This pie is angry indeed. Fire will be steaming from all your orifices. However, I couldn't resist the goodness of this beauty. Not only are the specialty pies good, but the create your own pies are just as good. Not knowing how big a 12" pizza was, we all left with some extra slices! The service is just as good as the food. So much attention to detail and care for the customers.

The service from sitting at the bar was top notch! We went here and it was packed, people were waiting in line to get seated. The food here was pretty good! We had the 12oz ribeye with garlic mash, and chilli, le Champion pizza. The ribeye was 4/5 really good cooked medium rare, just needed a little more warmth and color to it on outside. The pizza was thin crust, and was delicious! There's plenty of parking around the area! Reasonably price!

We stopped in after some shopping. Plenty of customers makes you think you're in the right place. Lots of flags hanging from the ceilings giving you something to look at. Waitress was helpful in helping pick my beer from their brew list. Also recommended the spinach and artichoke dip! Oh, my fantastic! We felt like the bread was likely''homemade' to. It was warm and the artichoke dip was baked in the oven before coming to our table. I'd retire there weekly for that treat. The king pepperoni pizza was also good. Great crust.

So stopped back by Dempsey's on my way home from North Dakota. It's my favorites Irish pub in Watertown! I ordered the fat bear burger which had ham, bacon, pulled pork, with a 1/2 lb beef patty. The pulled pork on the burger was extremely dry and had to eat with the burger. Might suggest saucing it with the bbq prior to putting it on the burger. Other than that the burger was pretty good. I ordered onion rings as my side and they were cooked perfectly and had that great beer battered flavor. Can't wait for my next trip through to eat here again!

Stopped in on a Friday evening after work and found this lovely gem in Watertown. Got a seat on the large sized patio and tried some of the in-house drinks. The Battleaxe Blonde was okay but nothing of note when thinking of a Midwest Pilsner. The Summer Pountine was loaded up with pulled pork and melted cheese (see photo) and was definitely a stomach filler. We also decided to try a few of the speciality pizzas. The crust is a nice light dough with the perfect amount of salt; really enjoyed the incredible Reuben styles and pulled pork bbq (days away) pizzas. I would highly recommend this spot if you are visiting or passing through Watertown!

A motorcycle gathering had closed the street outside, so we felt very lucky to get a seat when we did. The tap list here is impressive. I was thrilled that they had so many ciders to choose from, including several from one of my favorite cideries, 2 Towns. My husband was happy to have one of his favorite imports, Kilkenny, which is hard to find in the US, and followed it up with a local beer from Fernson, Ears Up. We started off with a South Dakota specialty, Chislic. I asked our server if it was more authentic grilled or fried, and she said grilled. They were really good! My husband had the Bourbon Bacon Burger with garlic fries. He really enjoyed it. I snagged a fry and it was tasty, with bold garlic. I had the pork tacos. These were not small street tacos, but very filling full-size tacos. A bit messy, but our server left us plenty of napkins. When she came by to ask if we needed anything more, we asked for the check. She said it'd be right out, and asked if we'd like free mini cupcakes as a thank you. She commented they'd been short staffed. I must say, everyone in there was working hard (the boss came by to check with us several times) and we have no complaints, only compliments. We then shared two mini cupcakes, one vanilla and one red velvet. It was a sweet ending to a really great meal.

Our waitress greeted us almost immediately and was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We ordered the nachos, chislic, and a Cobb salad, and everything was spot on. The Cobb salad was fresh, and the blue cheese dressing was especially good. The nachos were a pleasant surprise--they use real melted cheese instead of queso, and they were loaded with toppings. Being from out of state, we were told we had to try the chislic since it's a South Dakota staple. It reminded us a little of Chinese-style spare ribs in flavor. It was definitely tasty, though a bit chewier than we expected. Even so, we're glad we tried it and would recommend it to anyone wanting to experience a local specialty. Overall, great service, great food, and a fun atmosphere on the rooftop deck. We'd definitely recommend Cubby's if you're in Brookings.

Never done that before. She was rude and so was the other chick working there. We walked in and we were ignored for 15 minutes. She kept hanging out and kind of partying with a college aged boys but ignored us. I asked if I could get my burger rare and SHE YELLED AT ME! I was trying to be empathetic to her and said "it's hard to do this all on your own" She berated me and embarrassed me in front of the entire section. I have it recorded because I couldn't believe that this was happening. (Pics of screenshots attached) I'd love to send that to the owner. Again, the way she treated us was something I've never experienced before. Food was gross. Only one other customer there and he asked me if I wanted to go "zoom zoom" and I chuckled but found out later he was trying get me to do męth (GROSS!) All around the place grossed me out and I'll scream it to the rooftops that bartender was a nasty woman. JUNE 6, 2025 @ 8:48pm When we left she was out smoking a cigarette and being very obvious about what she wanted to tell me under her breath to her bar friends. I'm uploading pics not prove when I was there. I can't be the only one this has happened to! But for some reason I can't let this go on. I go fishing at big stone almost every other weekend. There are 2 places to eat when I go to big stone to fish. It's THIS place with the nasty staff.... Or the overpriced restaurant (but with good food and service) All I wanted was a burger and fries. Not to be berated 3 separate times for no reason at ALL! Just for asking a question ‍
