Recently stopped here to grab something small to eat since I haven't been to an A&W establishment in such a long time. The kitchen itself when you walk in is really big and I wasn't sure if I was walking into a restaurant since the layout was a bit weird. I was greeted to Bella who was very nice and professional throughout my entire visit. She's a great example of what customer service should be. Stay up here is awesome friendly and knowledgeable. Solid menu featuring everyone's favorites when it comes to ice cream and various hot food like hot dogs Etc. The food I had was really good for what it was worth. Maybe it's a bit pricey but the restaurant itself is definitely outdated. The roof and the dining area need an upgrade. Restrooms aren't in the best shape either. We don't usually come to this location for take out because it's kind of far from home and the food tends to get cold. However, that's exactly what we did since the one by our house has been closed. The food was good and the float was fantastic! The reason for taking away one star is that the burger bun was stale and dry. It made it a little hard to eat the burger. Luckily, there was a good amount of ketchup to offset the bun situation. The clunky onions added a level of difficulty to the consumption of this treat. They kept popping out to say hello to my fingers. I had to set down my burger and rearrange multiple times which is not what a hangry girl really wants. Lol. For many decades this my favorite A&W location with a large retro dining room. Was closed for about a year until they found a new owner, so Happy. Sad they discontinued the phones at each booth that connects to Counter for placing your orders. No outside drive up order boards or canopy to park under, they come to your car with tablet waitress take order. Just go inside and have a seat, waitress come to table or line up at counter inside. This place really busy around lunch time. Yeah we had a coupon sheet, they let you use all you want. Got 2 Bacon Cheeseburger only 6 bucks good deal. She had really delicious Chicken Tender combo with Fries n Rootbeer. We added a Xtra order Tenders n Deep Fried Mushrooms absolutely fantastic. The mind blowing instant Addiction Sriracha Cheese Curds perfect Spicy I kicked up with A&W Spicy Sauce WOWED. A must try best ever eaten Cheese Curds for the Win. I stretched a couple Curds and placed on Burgers for another OMG. So Happy got a location near my house to pickup more Spicy Cheese Curds. Yes support these local Ma n Pa owned franchise locations so we have them around another 100 year's. I generally don't leave negative reviews when I don't like the food because folks are just trying to work to pay bills. But I'm pretty sure the hot dog I received was rancid. It had a black ring around the hot dog when looking at it after you take a bite. Not from being burnt. I love a burnt hot dog. And the taste was rough. Needless to say, after 2 bites I was done. I have gone to this A & W for 20 plus years. They just got new owners and "remodeled ". They new staff is rude and not welcoming. The food lacks in the quality it did before. You have to place your order at the counter, but they dont tell you that till you have sat there for ever. What was once my favorite place..is no more. Definitely wont be back. I've been going to this A&W for more than 40 years. The staff WAS always nice. Now it's under new management the old staff is all gone. I was there on 10.19 when I walked in there was a guy checking his bag then he turned to leave and said in a disgusted tone good luck. The people in line waiting for there order had been waiting for 15 min. They were waiting for the cheese curds. The cook was messing up big time. Well my order was two papa burgers for 6 bucks with the coupon. I got my order in a reasonable time but It had the wrong toppings. So I took it back to the counter and they made me new ones. After I checked I noticed they were single burgers. I went back to the counter and the counter person told the cook that they were singles the cook said that's a 3 dollar papa burger. I said WHAT, the ones you messed up were doubles. She didn't want to fix it so I walked out disgusted. I have used that coupon before and have always gotten a double burger. I miss the old owner. Been going here once aweek while working for a few months until today :(. There was hair in my fries and the women actually said "where" lol. Once she saw it she took them from me and NEVER apologized! I didn't know if i was getting new fries or money back so i just threw out my half eaten burger and went back to work. New owner has ruined the restaurant. Used to be our go to place but no more. Fries were soggy, hamburger was not seasoned, root beer was luke warm and was not in a frosted glass, remodeling makes the restaurant look like a Rams Horn, have to order at counter instead of having a waitress take your order. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY COMING TO THIS PLACE!!!! Whomever the new owner is has completely ruined what this place use to be. I use to come here at least once a week before it got "remodeled" by the way it still looks like same but they took out the phones to order inside. Before it ran smooth and every time the food was delicious. Now I can go on and on about how horrible everything is here!! Don't bother trying to order from your car because they won't answer. When you go in they will give you your drinks 30 minuets before your food is even ready. When your sitting there waiting for your food you see half of it just sitting there open, flys are everywhere and by the time the other half is done nothing is worth eating, just have to throw it all out. I seen a guy wait for a DRINK only a DRINK for 10 minuets. Like what the hell is wrong with these people? Been bringing my family here for burgers and root beer floats at least once a month since the 90s.as some others have commented yes they are under new management.A entire new staff, not one familiar face. My daughter is one of the new staff members. Apparently they hire teenagers at 9.50 an hour to run cash register, car hop, wait on /clean tables ..only to tell them the little bit of tips the public is leaving belongs not to the employee but to the employer?the owner watches video and if anyone is caught pocketing cash tips..it's considered stealing?im floored!I wonder how much of my money I've left my servers for appreciating great service did the owner pocket?isn't that lieing and cheating the public?i feel cheated. Cheap thin tasteless burgers. Expired shredded lettuce. Soggy tomatoes and fries that tasted like they had been in the fryer more than once. Wouldn't give this place another dime of my money. The service was abysmal as well. Asked for my total was rudely cut off, when I received my order it was wrong had to be remade twice. I realize everyone makes mistakes but this was ridiculous.
