Great root beer freeze. Good & nice service. Nice grass & sidewalks to walk my dog. Sweet kitty by the door.

Love that they're branching out with more locations. More and more I have come to love this place…read moreeach time we visit central Oregon. I'm a huge fry guy. I know most people are, but I'm definitely a place that will wind me over if they've got bottomless fries they just absolutely big baskets. This place we always get a full order of their loaded fries and they always tried quite a few. I think the blue cheese and the poutine are our favorite. The poutine has a very good gravy now normally people slap any kind of gravy on and call it a day and for me a sub standard gravy will absolutely ruin the french fries. Luckily, the person working, there was super nice, and when I asked him his personal opinion on it, he ran back, grabbed a few french fries and a little bit of gravy to give us a try super cool Also, they got really good beer, selection, and sours and other fun things like that. This is one of the few places that I've had such unique over the top original kind of drinks. I really mean just I can't even describe to you until you look at their list there's just stuff you could never imagine. I will say this is something that we have written down before to try to find when we traveled back up north. Always laid-back always clean always easy parking. It's a no-brainer and they have a great happy hour.

The everyone is family vibe. We don't get that vibe in Redmond. In Bend we used to get a little bowl of bread Cubes and a small sampler dish of their homemade chimichurri that they were so proud of, and we loved. They don't do that in Redmond, not sure if they still do so in Bend... I think we've given Redmond 3 chances but staff are pretty indifferent, and the food doesn't wow us anymore. The brats and bangers are still good, but we feel it's not totally worth the prices anymore. Last time we were in Redmond location the women's restroom was out of tp. I told the staff twice and they were not busy, scrolling on their phones in between customers and they never re-stocked the to in the restroom.

The ambiance was cool, very welcoming and everyone was happy to recommend their favorites. We noticed that there were Argentinian items on the menu and my boyfriend, who is Argentinian, was super excited to talk to them about it. They told us all about their story and the owner who is still working even into his 80's because he just loves what he does. It was interesting to see the incorporation of the culture into this type of food, and it was incredibly delicious too! They gave us some chimichurri with bread and the dulce de leche cheesecake! Which were both incredibly good. I had the chipotle mango sausage on top of mac n cheese with grilled onions, bacon, and a side of chimichurri and refused to leave anything on my plate. Mac and cheese was great, especially with the chimichurri and the chipotle mango was great spice level, it was a light spice. The choripan special was great too. My friends got some regular sausages on buns and those were well sized and topped for the price. Great for families. Dog friendly in the heated and enclosed patio area, too! Huge menu selection if you're adventurous and looking to try something new, or just sticking to the classics. We would revisit and recommend to anyone looking to try something new.

We went in and were served immediately. So many options. Reindeer sausage banger or maybe a burnt end banger? How about an alligator banger or maybe a simple chicken and basil sausage banger. Next...add toppings. Soooo many toppings. Grilled onions? Maybe some tomatoes? How about peppers? Next, add a sauce. Garlic aioli, chimmichuri, mustard, ketchup, cheese? Ohhh...I forgot about starters. Poutine fries to start. We didn't wait long and the waitress gave us chimmichuri and fresh bread to start. Then came the poutine fries. Amazing. French fries in a gravy sauce with grilled onions and melted cheese. Then the bangers came. I ordered the basil chicken with grilled onions, tomatoes with aioli sauce. Hot and fresh. Tasted amazing. The buns were so fresh and soft. I will never think bangers are boring again. This place was SUPER!

You never know what it's going to be until you step into a place and try them. So it was with The Dawg House. I entered the establishment and was warmly greeted by two local ladies, both of whom were very friendly. And not for the sake of being friendly because it's good for business, but genuinely that small town friendliness that makes small, independent joints like this an absolute pleasure to visit. The place was very clean, and well lit, it was spacious, and there was plenty of good seating. Being I was at The Dawg House, I opted for Hot Dogs and Onion Rings, though they did have many other options on the menu. Let me say, these were some of the best hot dogs I've had in a long time! I tried two different hot dogs (both were the Puppy Dawg, the smaller sized version) one with ketchup and mustard, and the other with chili, cheese and onions. Both were absolutely fantastic with a full robust flavor. The ketchup and mustard brought out the flavor of the hot dog in one way, while the chili, cheese and onions brought it out in a different way. I must also make a note that the chili they topped the dog with had a great seasoning, and was balanced beautifully with just the right level of "kick". The onion rings turned out to be an unexpected treat as they were cooked crisp, but not overdone without being drenched in grease. They were done to perfection. If you're passing through Prineville Oregon, and need a place to get a bite, The Dawg House is sure to please your appetite, and give you a dose of great small town charm.

Top it off with the beverage of your choice -beer, wine, canned soda, etc.- and you have the perfect lunch or afternoon snack. On our way out we bought a couple pounds of the Smokehouse Jerky (Original, Pepper, & Teriyaki) and two pounds of the Smokehouse bacon. Made the car on our trip home smell great!!!!
