Superb food. Crazy, right? But true... Hash browns from fresh grated potatoes. Lots of items made from scratch in house. The Real Deal. This place used to be horrible about 11 years ago. Really bad. But now, years later, under new management, it shines. Country music on the radio, friendly service, all the necessities and some comfort too. Diggin it!

    Not fancy but clean.

We just stopped at the "luxurious motel 6" (LOL) up the street and asked for a good place for dinner. She laughed when she said I can't believe I'm telling my guest to go up the street to a truck stop/gas station for dinner. Having few options, we decided to check it out. It is truly a small truck stop on Highway 97. Open 24 hours it looks like an old diner, stainless steel tables, black vinyl booth. And while it wasn't a huge menu, it offered something for everyone. I wasn't very hungry so I ordered my safe sandwich (BLT). It was good and I had onion rings (of the frozen variety) and they were okay. My friend order Indian Fry Bread Tacos... she said they were good and took one home with her. While we were there we watched the waitress refill the ketchup and hot sauce bottles. Was impressed as she thoroughly wiped down each bottle before refilling (I hate when you go to "better or chain restaurants" and you pick up sticky bottles). While not very fancy, this place is clean. After "dinner" we walked out the back entrance and into the convenience store of the gas station and bought ice cream to take back to our room for desserts. If you are on the road, a great place to stop and get a good meal.

Decent deals. Secret though is an added $1 for To-Go orders :/

Extremely slow service for To-Go orders. Regulars seem to be priority. 40mins for 2 breakfast burritos a is a bit unreasonable in terms of wait time, especially considering it was the only ticket up for 30 of those minutes. Nice homey atmosphere though. If we had time to kill would have been perfect. Edit: After eating, demoting to 1 star. Flavorless, small portions for the price and expensive for what you get. Also, charging extra for To-Go and then expecting a tip is redundant. And if you sell breakfast burritos, you should have hot sauce. It's basically a rule. Not worth the stop.

    B&G on a Sunday!

Had to change my review. Its been a couple times since last review. I've got top say. Everything been clean. Including silverware and cups. The portion of food you get is what most truck stops give ya BIG PORTIONS. I enjoy the "Big Ben #2" the biscuits and gravy are good also

This is an extremely "local" restaurant. If you're looking for an authentic diner, then come here. However, if you're looking for a fancy dining experience, go to Portland.

Def different than years ago, but food still good. Portions could be a bit bigger but the burgers are huge!

Terrible. Thought it would be a fun greasy spoon. Expensive and odd. Not a typical all American breakfast experience.

New owners, and they brought some Indian dishes with them. Burgers are awesome, and the fries are the tastiest in town. Highly recommend.

For as crappy as this place looks. It's not too bad. The corn beef hash is clearly out of a can. But the food wasn't bad.

Too pricey for regular eats, but worth it once in a while. Only complaint is half on us, as we were so tired and hungry that we forgot to ask for a medium burger and got cooked through. The young lady that greeted us had the personality of day old bread, kind of stale. There was a table of 4 and a table of 8. Two being kid's, and now us. 2. I thought this will not take long, boy was I mistaken. The table if 4 where just finishing up. And the table of 8. I thought we're finishing because the kids were still eating. Nope, they were bringing 1 plate at a time, for other 6. They forgot 1 of the 6, the person said don't worry about it. They just wanted to get out of there. A lady with purple hair, I assume she owned the nasty place half heartily made up excuses. Now are turn, took forever to take our order. We order - 1 breakfast sandwich, asked what type of bread, requested sourdough. Ham steak, eggs over medium, hash browns and sourdough bread. Order of Indian fried bread. What came 30 minutes later - Breakfast sandwich with rye bread that sat at the pass for 10 minutes, it was nasty. Ham luke warm, eggs over hard, microwave hash browns and sourdough bread, not toast. No butter, no jam. And least but not least, NO INDIAN FRIED BREAD. The you lady who sat us, also served us. Never came back to refuel our water cups Never checked on how the foods was. When she finally came, I told about both breads. She had a look of bewilderment. I said don't worry, no we are sorry no anything. Now last but not least- I used the restroom as my wife did. SAYING NASTY IS BE NICE!!!! THE WHOLE PLACE IS DIRTY. I COULD NOT GET OUT OF THERE FAST ENOUGH. When I go that way again. I'm going to speed up as I pass there. I stress, do not, I mean do not stop there! They need to be inspected by the county.

There is a very small indoor dining area, and we found seats at the counter (but don't count on it during busy times!) which was an added bonus for us! We are rock-hounders and LOVED trying to identify all the beautiful pieces in the inlaid countertops as we ate! Our Mushroom Swiss burger was HUGE and served on a good quality grilled w/butter bun! This was no "McClown" burger! So glad we decided to share this time, because the Banana Split was epic! The pic doesn't do it justice but the hard-pack ice cream blobs were as big as baseballs!!! I usually get them to go but today I thought I would have it fresh off the grill and eat there. Inside there was a table of 4 and me. There were people outside too. They were busy. Took me 15 minutes to order but thats ok I really wanted this burger and to sit and read. The table next to me got there order and 3 out of the 4 burgers were wrong, So after the confused waitress finally figured out what the right ones were for the other table they recooked them. Their order came out one burger at a time very slowly and they were still not right. Finally got it right. I had now been waiting for my burger for 40 minutes. But ok they were busy but I needed to get to work. I asked them how long would it be and the cook said he is just putting on the grill. Really? A total of 55 minutes and they hadn't even started it. I needed to get to work so I asked for my money back because I now did not have time to eat lunch. As I was getting my money back the waitress said sorry they were really busy. "That's fine but you made them wrong 4 times". I am now at work very, very, hungry and I work until 10:00pm
