It gave the impression that the kitchen may have already been cleaned due to a slow period rather than the restaurant truly being sold out. Our family of five had planned our day around eating here and arrived very hungry, so this was especially frustrating. A heads-up on the door or updated hours would have saved us the trip and frustration. Hopefully this feedback helps improve communication for future customers.
