The fries were crispy and complemented the meal perfectly. The service was friendly and fast, and the restaurant had a clean, welcoming atmosphere. It's hard to find a place that gets everything right, but this one definitely does. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great burger, and I'll definitely be coming back!

Checked this place out while visiting Harrison Lake Hot Springs. So other reviewers have stated…read morethat this place is great and you get a huge amount of food for having the reputation of a tourist trap. I will agree and disagree with some of these reviews from a perspective of a tourist but also someone who eats out a lot. The good: food was good, staff was friendly, ambience was enjoyable sitting outside near the lake in the shade. Family enjoyed the food, especially the fish although our pieces were crumbling and falling apart just touching them to move to other plates. Fries were good, tenders were good. Tartar sauce had a slight honey mustard taste which was a nice change. The bad: prices have gone up since last persons post 9 months ago. Items have increased $2-$3 dollars since then. Someone claiming the burgers were huge and could barely finish half of one, also confirmed by staff they were huge, was not so the case. It was a standard size burger I would compare to slightly shorter than a Big Mac at McDonald's. Other critique was the gravy on the poutine was slightly on the salty side as well. Dining bonus they give you 10% of at picnics ice cream and dessert place that is located next door. Overall it was a nice lunch but will cost you a considerate amount being in a tourist area. Our bill was $89 before tips for a family of 5 with a toddler sharing 3 entrees and drinking water.

Get a little dressed up have a great meal and maybe dessert and a coffee. We got there as a 2 top and was walked past multiple empty booths and sat in an open more pub like dinning area. I just assumed that the server in the dinning area was at limit of tables. It's chilly in this area so I kept my coat on and saw that the people at the table next to us kept theirs on too. There is a birthday? Bachelorette? In the corner. This will be relevant later. So we sit and my husband ordered a Guinness and I a Diet Coke. He brings the drinks and there is no head on the Guinness, there is none of that carbonation in the beer. So he takes our food order and my husband comments on beer and the server said that the beer was poured correctly. That they poured half let it sit then poured the rest. My husband said ok but there is no head? And they replied well I don't know it was poured correctly and left. Ok not overly impressed but I've eaten the food. It's my cheat night. I have a pulled pork sandwich with Caesar salad. The table next to us gets their food. The one woman at the table picks at her fries and is commenting how bad the sandwich is. The other two men weren't impressed either with their food. The party in the corner is getting loud. The server drops a new drink to me unprompted which I love. And hubby orders a bottled beer. He then goes to the next table to pick up dishes and I hear the woman say ya I don't know what that is but it is not pulled pork. Hubby looks to me and starts to laugh. So server takes all their stuff walks away. And I said noooo please tell me it's not the pulled pork? She said like pulled pork is bbq. There was no bbq. Also nothing was pulled it was a solid piece of I'm not sure what but I think it was fish?? I'm sad, but hopeful that it was just a mistake and I'll get the right order. She has to raise her voice to speak as the party table is well having a party.. Our food comes and I immediately open the sandwich and it's a solid piece of white meat. I say oh hold on. And he's like yes? I said this isn't pulled pork? There is no cheese? That's shredded lettuce not cabbage and there is so much sauce the white bread not sourdough is soaked. The salad came with no dressing? They say ok so you don't want it? what would you like? And I said I don't know can I have a menu? So he walks off to get one. Hubby opens his sandwich and it's not right either. His is the farmhouse chicken sandwich. This was also not even close to right. There was no cheese, it was not layered roast chicken it was rotisserie chicken that oddly enough was ripped up like pulled pork??? The sauce was mayo not a creamy herby cheese sauce. Although it did have the bacon, lettuce but no tomato. The server returned hubby shows him that his is missing things and wrong and he says so you don't want it either? Hubby says no I'm hungry but your kitchen is messing up allot. The server then looked at me and said find anything on the menu. Like oblivious to what hubby just said and I said. No I'm good. Honestly I was scared what would come out. Hubby finishes and we ask for the bill. The party girls now have shots The server proudly walks up and says don't worry I got your meal removed from the bill. You can pay at the front. So I looked thinking that they removed hubby's because mine wasn't even eaten and sent back and his was completely wrong. No they removed my meal. Nothing for the fact the hubby's meal was wrong. I debated writing this for over a week but the whole thing was so bad I don't want someone else to waste their gas, time and money. I got dressed up for date night to sit in a cold pub area with a party, the girls did nothing wrong, but the atmosphere was just wrong. The new owners have absolutely destroyed what was once an amazing restaurant

Despite it being quite busy, the service was remarkably fast, efficient and friendly! The environment on a Saturday was definitely "pre-party" in that the music was loud (but just under being too loud), the crowd was happy and having fun. I saw at least one round of shooters going by to a table of older folks, lol! If you have an aversion to loud places, try the outdoor seats or maybe wear Loops or other such gear. It is a pub, but kids are allowed until 9pm. As for the food, we just ordered the calamari and the wings (salt & pepper as the hubby can't eat chilies). We were really surprised at how good they both were. The calamari had a thin, crispy coating that wasn't too greasy. The wings were properly and fully cooked without being overcooked. So many busy pubs serve half raw wings, so I was really pleased with the wings. Also, I thought the chicken was of good quality, not something I usually notice with this dish.

The outside of the restaurant looked really cute, very relaxed atmosphere as soon as you walk in, and we were met with friendly hospitality. But right after we placed our order, any hint of service ceased. We ordered, as pictured below, 2 salads. SALADS. Nothing else and it took nearly an hour to get our food. Our server, throughout this 50 minute period, did not check on us once. We finally had enough and asked, only to be met with a dismissive "your food should be out in a minute." A different lady, possibly a manager or supervisor, brought out our food and had the audacity to stop and chat with one of the other servers, while holding our hour-long salads. As you can see in the picture, the toast that came with one salad was burnt. My steak, which I ordered as medium, was overseasoned and overcooked. The lady who brought out our food was the one who finally noticed that we were out of water and brought a pitcher over. She and the server then proceeded to check on us 4 different times, seemingly out of guilt, but never acknowledged what happened. I fully understand that mistakes and breakdown in communication happen, but at least have the decency to acknowledge it and apologize. I chose not to make a scene because other patrons in the restaurant do not deserve to be disturbed. No service equals no tip seems only fair.

The ambiance was cozy and inviting for most of our meal. However, near closing time the music was turned up quite a bit, which made us feel like we were being encouraged to leave. The evening began with the reservation. I called twice to confirm. On the first call, a young man took the booking, confirmed the patio request, and then asked for my credit card over the phone for the 30 dollar no show fee. I declined and asked that he email me so I could provide it securely. No email arrived. I called again and spoke with a woman who assured me everything was confirmed. Upon arrival, I was told a patio reservation was impossible because they "do not do that." Fair enough, except the patio had an open table for eight. When I asked if we could take it, I was told it was reserved for a walk in. In the three hours we were there, that table remained untouched. Either the walk in was exceptionally punctual in not arriving, or the explanation was simply convenient. Now to the food, which unfortunately did not redeem the plot. Every steak ordered at our table was overcooked, and service pacing was inconsistent. Dishes arrived in scattered intervals, with one meal landing after the rest of the table had already finished. Even on a busy night, timing is part of hospitality, not an optional add on. I can forgive a kitchen having an off moment. What was harder to overlook was the lack of professionalism on the floor. A server's skirt repeatedly rode up to the point that her buttocks were visibly exposed while bending and leaning, including directly outside the glass beside our table. My niece, seated by the window, turned toward a noise and was met with an image no family dining experience should include. My sister discreetly and politely notified our waitress, as one would hope someone would do for them. The issue continued multiple times afterward. There was no manager on duty. We were given the owner's number, and I left a voicemail. If I receive a response, I will gladly update this review. As it stands, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Between the reservation contradictions, overcooked steaks, erratic pacing, and a front of house standard that fell well below basic expectations, the experience missed the mark in ways that were both avoidable and unnecessary.
