After a long motorcycle ride, I thought a sandwich would be perfect. This was NOT the case. I did a make your own, Dutch Crunch roll, turkey, salami, and pepperoni with pepper jack cheese. Well I come there to get meat, first time I got a sandwich was feeling hungry, the sandwich was fantastic not dry right amount of meat and condiments The last several times I came and got a sandwich they have been extremely dry even with sub oil and mayo. The bread is extremely thick and each time I have had maybe 1 and half pieces of meat on a full sandwich even the condiments are more. The cheese was a half piece put separately on the sandwich. They have really gone downhill when it comes to there sandwiches. And I will not be returning to get a sandwich. Also I purchased 2 tri tip sandwiches both were okay amount of meat. Dont get the other meats. Thats were you get less. And my sandwich was so dry it was like eating bread with a taste of something. And the 2 truck tip sandwiches I ordered the exact same thing and was charged 16.99 for one and 15.99 for the other not sure why. And I the sign said 12.99 read more

They have the best service and amazing meats. I highly recommend this butcher to anyone with butcher needs they are clean and friendly also have a great deli that make delicious sandwiches. Well worth the price for a wonderful variety of meat packs my family gets the variety pack 40lbs I think lasts us just about 1 months and the quality is amazing. Please try this place if you have any butcher needs or just looking for that perfect steak for a celebration. We have also tried there stuffed chicken breasts they were easy to prepare and tasty too. We ate ours with rice and veggies I didn't take pictures but I love how everything is packaged in the meat pack as well. Love the sandwiches there when you bring your cow or your pig to get butchered, why don't they put the weight on every package? I don't understand it now if you go to Orland to Francisco shop he puts weight on everything. What's the problem when people don't it's just too much time consuming. If it's your first time going it can be a little confusing. Especially during lunch time. Staff is there for a reason so ask questions as they are very friendly. There's a counter to order fresh made sandwiches, and tho they have printed off paper for you to pick your meat etc, I didn't pay close enough attention to notice that, however Teri was more than helpful in suggestions and helping me pick what I wanted. They also have a separate butcher counter where u can order fresh meats and vegtables in a variety of cuts, something this old lady misses what with everything PRE PACKAGED these days. They also have pig ears and bones for your dog (or cat) so they don't feel left out when your spoiling yourself. Prices are what u would think they would b, u won't b shell shocked that's for sure. Call Quido... Since they've moved to Main St. they aren't as friendly. I was in yesterday and stood in front of the meat counter for 5 minutes before a girl broke away from the pac that was flirting with a cop in the sandwich area. I'm short and can't always be noticed in weed high hedges but 5 minutes not checking for customers‍. You will likely sell more T bones than sandwich's. Once she acknowledged me, she acted like I ended her dating life. She begrudgingly put my $78 pack together, put it on the top and walked right back to the cop, without a thank you. Last time an elderly employee gladly picked her lunch out of her molars before pouring sauces into new containers. Obviously, not washing nor wearing gloves. Hope lunch was a beefy sandwich. Will I go back? Likely, as I live only a mile away. Their meats are a shade above Raleys top choice fare so depending on what I need, I'll visit again. Evrrytime we have gone into this business the girls making the sandwiches have been great. The guys behind the meat counter, always super nice. Yesterday i called for my husband because his birthday landed on a sunday and we drove there forgetting you guys were closed. On monday i called and i young lady answered the phone and i asked if you guys would still be okay with him getting his sandwich on monday sense the bussiness was closed. I was put on hold and told she would go ask someone if it was okay. When the phone call got picked up it was a new lady named "ellen" and i thought maybe she had just picked up a call on hold. I had explained i was talking to the girl before her and she was supposed to get back to me on my question. She then rudely said "well whats your question im waiting?". I was confused because i thought the first girl would have told her my question before she picked up my call. When i reasked if the store would still do the sandwich for him, with an ID saying his birthday was yesterday. She told me that they will not make the sandwhich and he would have to wait until next year. If thats the rule, i understand. Its just the way she spoke to us like we were an inconvenience even though the store offers birthday sandwiches. We created our sandwich with sourdough bread, pastrami, provolone cheese, lettuce, and mustard. With chips and two drinks, it cost under $17. The bread was wonderful and the pastrami was lean. My husband said that this was the "cleanest" lunch he's had in a long time. Meaning it was fresh, nothing fancy or fried and checked all the boxes for him. The deli was great, more like a higher endSafeway deli because they use the Boarhead meat. The side of mac & cheese was amazing and their selection of me was more than exemplary. I been having my cows and pigs processed by A&R for about 10 years now. Never again. The cutting on the last 3 pigs and 2 cows I sent in was not great. Steaks and chops were REALLY thick on one side, then tapered to about 1/4 inch on the opposite side, like a wedge. I didn't complain as they had recently moved into their new shop and I figured things got a little out of control during the move. Understandable. There were a couple other things that got my knickers in a knot, but hey, we all make mistakes, and we just don't always get what we want. Today was the final straw, though. I took a package of bacon out of the freezer, and I realized that sucked up in that nifty little vacuum sealed package was a fly. A FLY!!! Was working in town, and tried to find the good local spots in my brief time there. A&R was an absolute highlight, got consistently delicious sandwiches, and while I was waiting for those was tempted by the selection of steaks, high quality sides and house-made jerky sticks. Last year I bought lobster tails and my sister got food poisoning, almost killed her. I told them about it and no comment. This year I bought my Turkey there from Mary's Ranch. It was by far the worst turkey I have ever had. Part of it was still raw but the Brest was completely dried out. The legs were so touch you couldn't even get any meat off. Paid $4.00 a pound so $40 for a 10 pound worthless turkey. This sucker was so old it should have never been sold. So disappointed in this butcher. Will never buy there again. Just done. read more

The meats are 5 star, the selection of local sauces and honey are wonderful. I bought both the bacon and a marinated tri tip: both were top notch. The ONLY reason this shop did not get 5 stars is the lack of PPE on the staff of other guests: not a mask on anyone. Similar experience in other local Red Bluff stores. On our way to Lassen Park ... Picked up a couple of sandwiches, not only were they tasty but they made a special lettuce wrap for us as we don't eat bread. Nothing special, I ordered the tri tip sandwich and Mac and cheese, it was disappointing, no flavor and the sandwich was cold too. Great deli sandwiches! They have good quality Boar's Head brand deli cuts and cheeses at pretty good prices. Can get pretty busy at lunch time, especially Wednesdays and Fridays, but it's worth the wait. Meats are good as well. My family's favorites are the bacon and tri tip. The tri tip is a great price, and they offer regular, dry rub and marinated all for the same price. They also have 3 flavors of bacon (LOVE the jalapeño one). Customer service is amazing as well; staff is always friendly even when busy, and the rare time we have a problem, it's promptly remedied. read more
