If no one is the wiser, tires will expire quickly. - Asked for TPMS to be reset, confirmed twice on phone they completed. When I returned home to add another 35psi to my tires, the dash display indicated tires not being reset to the TPMS screen. This means the actual driver side tire is on the passenger rear, etc. - Explain any warranty with new tires and if rotation is included when purchasing all new tires. Nonetheless, I will return as I've used the former owners for many years and all of my vehicles. The shop is presentable and people aren't grouchy.

A few years ago, we had a brand new Tesla Model Y that got a screw in the tire in the first 30 days. I took it to a large chain tire and auto repair shop and they told me it could not be repaired and I would need to buy a new tire. They also recommended I should consider buying two new tires so they were balanced. (How much uneven wear could you possibly have in 30 days?!) They also showed me a chart where they said they are not allowed to repair the tire if it fell outside a very small distance, like 3 inches in the middle of the tire, and if you get a hole anywhere else it has to be replaced. I took the car over to Newton Brothers and they took the tire off and looked at it and said it was no problem to repair the tire at all. We went on to have that tire for 50,000 miles! And they only charged me $30 to repair it versus the $575 per tire the other shop wanted. Recently we had another screw in the tire of a high performance vehicle with expensive tires. These tires were nearing the end of their life. Doug had the guys pull the tire off and they discovered a dangerous gash on the inside edge of the tire. He didn't have the tires available that day. He could have possibly ordered them but he was concerned about my safety so he recommended I go to a different place to buy the tires. He was prioritizing my safety over their profits. They plugged the tire and told me to drive slowly to another shop. On top of that, they didn't even charge me. I did get the new tires and I am now coming back to them for any alignment work that might be needed. Surely this is a testament and roadmap on how to run a business that builds a loyal customer base.

Vincent was at the front counter and was absolutely wonderful! I told him what I needed done and he got the ball rolling. I was given a time frame when my truck service would be completed and offered shuttle service to and from the shop. The shuttle driver, Santos, was sooooo amazing and very entertaining! Just a real stand up gentleman. I was kept up to date on the status of my truck and when I went to pick it up, I wasn't fed any BS. Everything was straight forward. I had a 3:15pm Oil Change appointment for my car, and I was 5 min. early. An oil change takes 20…read moreminutes. I know this because I have been changing my own engine oil my entire life. 1) Remove the drain plug. 2) Remove old filter. 3) Install new filter. 4) Replace drain plug. 5) Add new engine oil. That is ALL it takes. As a matter of company policy, they provide a very time-consuming safety inspection. It can take up to an extra hour! Knowing this, I respectfully waived the inspection, as my wife was waiting to be picked up from her office after work at 4pm. It should have worked out fine. They told me "NO", the safety inspection was mandatory. That is like you placing a food order, and asking for no onions on your burger, and them telling you it's company policy to add onions, and your request is denied. How would THAT make you feel? I sat in their lobby for TWO HOURS! I was out the door at 5:10pm and my poor wife sat in her office for over an hour past her clock out time. That infuriated me. Sullivan's Auto does not value your time and they do not respect your wishes. Their company policy safety inspection is nothing more than an attempt to up sell you with additional parts and labor. On a previous visit to Sullivan's Auto, they requested my home address for their computer records. I declined to reveal my personal data to them. They told me, "It is California state law to have the home address of customers", and they demanded my address again. I immediately conducted my own research and discovered there was no such law. They lied to my face to get my personal data. I will never return to this disreputable business again and I emphatically suggest that you don't either.

Piece o' cake 3rd visit in Dec 2025 - My car needed an alignment due to pothole in Salinas. City Manager's office told me that I could request reimbursement since fault was by the City. Luis, Sullivan's service agent, understood the mission & made sure that car had a suspension inspection prior to the alignment. Safety is very important for all vehicles on the road. Alignment was completed, all fees remained consistent without surprises, and customer service was the best. I was provided with documentation (txt and paper copies) for my records & to file a claim. Waiting area is clean & well-stocked with a variety of beverages to keep us hydrated during our wait. Entire property is clean & well-maintained. Staff don't just talk, they understand automotive AND human behavior.
