We took the…read morecar in for an intermittent AC issue at 8am and were told they would call with a diagnosis that would be around $112 or so. I called at 1230 since I never heard from them and was told it was a bad Schrader valve which is not a common problem and was my first indication that the advisor had no idea what he was talking about. I was told that it would be ready in 45 mins. 2 hours later we were told that the problem was not fixed and that it was in fact the compressor. He said the compressor was grounding itself out internally. Who believes this trash? We lost complete faith in them and told them to just give us back the car. They charged us $300 to evacuate and recharge the AC which had a bad compressor. Who does that? There also was no mention of any valve replacement on the invoice. This was our first and only time going there. The place is completely disorganized, dishonest and unprofessional.

Today's experience was particularly noteworthy. My car was parked under oak trees at the dealership for two months as they waited for two computer modules to arrive due to the chip shortage situation. The dealership did wash my car but no one , including me, noticed the dark splotches on the roof. As I was going over the car in the well equipped bays at the car wash, I noticed them. It's no surprise they didn't come off during the wash cycle. That dirt was really difficult to get off. I asked Don, one of the key people, if he would let me re enter the wash prep section without having to go through the entire wash again. I explained the situation. He quickly grabbed some cleaning solution and tried to get some of the splotches out. After a few minutes, he told me to meet him in the prep area. Once there, he took one of the special purpose brushes and cleaned the entire roof for me. It gets better. I had gone through their top wash, so he instructed me to go through the car wash again at no charge. My car came out looking better than showroom shine. I told my neighbor about this exceptional experience and he said, "You just don't find that level of service anywhere today". Don really went out of his way and way above and beyond what I had requested or expected. He's the cherry on top of the great cake that is the Port Orange Sparkle and Shine Car Wash. Try it out. You will be very happy with the results. I recommend them highly.

In December, my Volkswagen GTI was repaired here, with over $4,000 worth of work listed on the invoice, including front-end repairs, cooling system work, air conditioning repairs, alignment, and wheel replacement. The vehicle was returned to me, and within one week the head gasket failed. Shortly afterward, my insurance company determined the vehicle was a total loss. While I cannot prove that every item listed on the invoice was not performed, the condition of the vehicle after the repairs left me with serious concerns about the quality and completeness of the work. After spending thousands of dollars, I expected the vehicle to be returned in a safe and reliable condition. What made the experience even more frustrating was how the situation was handled afterward. The shop advertises a warranty and states that they stand behind their repairs, but when I sought assistance regarding the mechanical failure that occurred immediately after the work was completed, I was given the runaround rather than meaningful support. In my experience, the warranty did not provide the protection that was represented. Additionally, the man working in the office alongside Laura was consistently disrespectful and unprofessional during my interactions with the business. He stated he completed the work himself and " knew there wasn't anything wrong " then proceeded to ask me " what's wrong " I gave him his tone of voice back stating " I'm not a mechanic but I can smell coolant " The shop revised their work and returned the car with me a second time/third time. Whenever I received the car back the 3rd and final time, I drove 12 miles before the coolant leaked completely out and blew the head gasket. Between the significant repair bill, the major engine failure shortly after the vehicle was returned, the lack of accountability, and the poor customer service, I cannot recommend this shop. I hope my experience helps others make a decision.
