I just got my car back from this place. The insurance company had totaled the car, but it looked to me like something mostly cosmetic that could be repaired. My car was a bit old, so it seemed to me mostly like a financial decision from the insurance company. I took it to DeLand Collision center after taking it to another place. Their estimate was lower and the people seemed friendlier, plus it came well recommended from my very trustworthy mechanic I've used over several years. They returned the car to me a week before their original estimate with the area looking better than when it was new. I asked them if they could help me fill out some paperwork from the DMV, which is necessary to get the vehicle back on the road and they were nice enough to help me with that, even though they could have said no. When they were done, I asked if they could keep the car there one extra day because my family was sharing a car between a few people and they happily accommodated. I could tell that the gentleman who worked on the vehicle was really proud of the work they did, he met me outside when I got there and went over the repair. You can tell when someone really takes pride in the work they do, and it showed on the result. I've owned a lot of cars over the years and had to unfortunately deal with collision work before. God forbid I have to go through more collision work again, but I'm taking it there. read more

I would strongly encourage anyone considering this shop to do their homework before trusting them with major repairs. In December, my Volkswagen GTI was repaired here, with over $4,000 worth of work listed on the invoice, including front-end repairs, cooling system work, air conditioning repairs, alignment, and wheel replacement. The vehicle was returned to me, and within one week the head gasket failed. Shortly afterward, my insurance company determined the vehicle was a total loss. While I cannot prove that every item listed on the invoice was not performed, the condition of the vehicle after the repairs left me with serious concerns about the quality and completeness of the work. After spending thousands of dollars, I expected the vehicle to be returned in a safe and reliable condition. What made the experience even more frustrating was how the situation was handled afterward. The shop advertises a warranty and states that they stand behind their repairs, but when I sought assistance regarding the mechanical failure that occurred immediately after the work was completed, I was given the runaround rather than meaningful support. In my experience, the warranty did not provide the protection that was represented. Additionally, the man working in the office alongside Laura was consistently disrespectful and unprofessional during my interactions with the business. He stated he completed the work himself and " knew there wasn't anything wrong " then proceeded to ask me " what's wrong " I gave him his tone of voice back stating " I'm not a mechanic but I can smell coolant " The shop revised their work and returned the car with me a second time/third time. Whenever I received the car back the 3rd and final time, I drove 12 miles before the coolant leaked completely out and blew the head gasket. Between the significant repair bill, the major engine failure shortly after the vehicle was returned, the lack of accountability, and the poor customer service, I cannot recommend this shop. When I first came there met with the owner her name was Laura Wilson (this lady around 68 or 70 year old). she was ok when I first time talk with herm I left my truck there for three weeks to repair. The total coast was $9,055.00. Deland Collision center has car rental also only $35 a day (but carefully she trick you at the end f feed very Hight) After 3 week I came to pick up my truck but her employees did very Poor JOB & UN-PROFFESIONAL WORK. My truck look very ugly. I Came back show her what was wrong the owner laura wilson deny it she told my because the part company did not has a good part...... I told her not about the part is is your guy did badly job and unprofessional work. How anyone can give them less than a 5 star rating is beyond me. There work is spectacular and they completed it much quicker than many shops I've been to over the years. Laura the owner is fabulous and is a big advocate for her customer when dealing with insurance. The couple of negative reviews on them has to be from people confused on which company they are reviewing or own / are friends with another competing body shop. They kept to the timetable they set when I dropped off our cars (we have been here several times), the pricing was good, the work was well done, and we never had any customer service issues. 2This place is completely unprofessional and has horrible customer service. They had the car for 5 weeks to fix a windshield and minor cosmetic damage from a tree falling on the car. We were told the car was ready after 4 wks and went to pick it up to find that they missed fixing have the damage from the branches hitting the paint and the entire car was covered in a rust colored spray which the owner said was there when the car came in. It definitely was not and I had the pictures to prove it. It happened while at this shop. It was over spray of some kind. After arguing with the owner for quite some time they finally agreed to fix it. My insurance company had to get involved and agreed to cover some of the fix which is unethical in my opinion since this was the shops mistake and had nothing to do with the tree incident. I will never take a car here again and I've advised my insurance company to stop using them as well. read more
