I was stressed out about the increasing roach activity at my place but was skeptical about effectiveness of hiring an exterminator. Given the price of Top Notch Pest Control, I had high expectations. Robert, the technician, came out to my place twice, once for the initial treatment and again for a follow-up. After the follow-up, the activity had gone down so much, more than I expected. Additionally, Robert provided great tips for prevention, was pleasant to talk with, and made a stressful situation much easier to go through. While I don't have other pest control services to compare with Top Notch, they do seem to do quality work, if all of their technicians are like Robert. Thank you!

I explained that the technician must arrive prepared to assess and treat in ONE appointment. I specified that he must move appliances, stuff gaps with steel wool, get under radiator covers and plug holes with foam-- no more but no less than that. Pest pro was the third place I called and the only place that was willing to meet my requirements of coming prepared to plug up and treat. The other two places said they needed to do an assessment which in my experience can mean just forcing you to pay and stay home all day twice instead of once. The person who showed up was new to the job but came prepared as requested and did a great job. They plugged behind my stove, placed traps behind my fridge, plugged under several radiators, and left glue traps out. In the end a wooden trap that I placed caught the mouse and I haven't seen another since. I'm pretty certain that the kitchen mice were coming in behind the stove which pest pro mouse-proofed well. It was $325 in the end but it only took one appointment and the problem is totally solved so I would use them again, though I don't think I'll have to because they really sealed up the place and recommended some follow ups which I can do myself for larger holes that they couldn't handle wit steel wool and foam.

Don talked my husband through some steps we could take to try and plug any holes and fix the issue on our own if we wanted to but after finding a few more bugs we decided to make an appointment to have professionals help. Lauren stopped by, did a thorough check of our whole apartment, and ended up calling in someone else to bring additional materials to help ensure our problems were solved. Both she and her husband (it's a family business!) did a great job explaining what they were doing, what they were using, and answer any questions we had. The traps they leave behind and poison they use are childproof and pet safe, and also placed in ways to limit chances of small kids or pets to even get to them. Their fee was incredibly reasonable, they're communicative, and I finally feel like I can sleep a little easier. They'll be coming back to check-in in a few weeks to make sure there are no new signs of anything and discuss any next steps as needed but we are feeling optimistic and taken care of by friendly, reasonable professionals. I have a very tight schedule due to my hybrid job and Michael made sure to confirm his visit the day before and keep me updated throughout the day on timing. He was able to identify the opening and and offer long term solutions. He sealed the opening, replaced old traps, check the radiators and vents and closets for any small holes.
