So we live in amongst many trees. When I say many, I mean hundreds of trees! We called in the tree troops to take out some trees in danger of falling on cars and roof , as well as a huge redwood that needed trimming so that maybe, per chance , we could get some grass growing again! Andrew came to the rescue with a reasonable quote and ready to match any other. He was prompt and professional and ready to do business . When the crew showed up and their professionalism also shined. They took over what needed to be done, cleaned up, and were out before we knew it. Before I hired A&E Arborists Tree Care, I had contacted other companies to find out the cost to cut 16 cypress trees from my backyard that have grown too tall. A&E Arborists Tree Care got my business because their proposal was within my budget and reasonable compared to the other companies. The team that cut my trees arrived on time, and they completed the job in one day. A&E Arborists Tree Care are also accommodating because they were able to work on a Saturday. With winter approaching and strong winds associated with a winter storm, I had to cut my cypress trees again because I was concerned one of my trees will topple and destroy my property or one of my neighbor's property. I have many trees around my house, so I'll be seeking A&E Arborists Tree Care again in the future. Excellent service and reasonable in cost! read more

Unfortunately, I feel it necessary to change my rating of this company. Even though the work crew was phenominal, as described below, I have been repeatedly ignored by the owner. I have called 3 times, left messages both on voicemail and with staff for a callback with a very simple question. Ignored! Really irks me! This also brings to mind the fact that we were promised a new 50' garden hose, which was run over by their grinder. We had a small forest of cement/septic system damaging redwoods that had to go. To our great fortune, a friend recommended A&E to us. These guys are marvelous! In 104 degree July heat, they absolutely worked their behinds off. I couldn't believe that they were not simply sauntering from Point A to B...they ran. All day long! My hat's off to them, because I would have simply melted in that heat. So by small forest, I'm talking about seven 80-90 foot mammoths that these guys skillfully de-limbed, cut to lengths, hauled off, ground down the 4' diameter stumps, cleaned it all up without a hitch. The entire process was not easy, as there were many obstacles like houses, fences, bushes and small trees that I care about, etc. Everything went unscathed and was done in record time. This crew was polite, respectful and professional nearly to a fault. A&E will have my immediate recommendation to anyone needing tree work. Thank you guys, genuinely awesome job! read more

This company removed 3 large black walnuts from my property. This was a contracted removal with the City. They was a waterline located underground close to the worksite. During the removal of the tree's which was done is stages, they discovered that the water mains pipe was damaged resulting in a leak that went undetected for a few weeks. When the leak was discovered they came and fixed it on a very wet and rainy day. When I notified them of the water bills overage, which was over $300.00, they took care of the total bill without any problem. Lots of respect for this company! read more

I live in West Sacramento.I received a notice from Twin Cities Tree Service on Tuesday saying they would be entering my backyard on Wednesday or Thursday to do tree trimming for AT&T. I immediately called the number and the voicemail message was claiming to be a company called A&E Arborists. I left a voicemail informing them that there were dogs in my backyard and that they would need to access my telephone pole from my backyard neighbor's yard (which other companies have done before for tree trimming purposes), or schedule something with me so I could figure out the dog situation. I also mentioned that I found it odd that I hadn't received notification from AT&T about the planned work. I called multiple times and left multiple messages and didn't receive a response back until Thursday morning. Alex (from A&E Arborists) left a message and stated that it was no problem and that they wouldn't access my backyard, and could access the area from my neighbor's backyard. When I got home that night my backyard was a mess. There were multiple items in my backyard that were moved all the way across the yard. They removed a metal fence I had stragetically placed to keep the dogs out of the chicken area of the yard. They didn't even attempt to put anything back where they found it. They also moved a barbecue that was on my patio away from a fence where I had placed it to keep my small dog from escaping the back yard. I also believe they broke my gate lock open to get into my backyard. When I called the owner of the company he insisted that it was their policy not to enter backyards if dogs were there. Then he claimed that he spoke with the crew (one of which was his son) and they stated that they did in fact come in my backyard, but my dogs never came out of the garage and we're "probably just sleeping." This makes absolutely no sense and there is no way that my German Shepherd would have allowed these people in the backyard without some type of manipulation. Based on the way things were moved around I believe that they actually locked my dogs in the garage. They also knocked over a bike I had in the back yard and didn't attempt to pick it up. I understand that I bought property with an easment. And I'm happy to work with any company that needs to access that area. But by verbally telling me that they wouldn't come in my backyard, and then not following through on that committment, is unacceptable. What's even more unacceptable (and totally unprofessional) is the condition they left my backyard in. They provided the same type of completely unprofessional "service" to two of my neighbors as well. This company came out on time to give me a bid. They were very informative about my trees, being honest about which ones needed to be cut down and which ones were healthy. The bid was VERY reasonable. I called to hire them after I got several other bids which were higher and a longer wait period. When the crew came out , they had all the proper equipment (very up to date equipment) and a large crew. My job was completed on schedule. They men were very clean, friendly, and responsive to my questions and concerns. I would hire them again, which is why they are currently giving me a bid on my Paradise property. read more

I called them about a pine tree in my backyard. I was told it was dead and needed to come down it was Going to cost me $4500.00 to take it down. I called my realtor Steve he told me I was being ripped off . It should only be half of that. He sent someone over the very next day told me it was fine only needed to be trimmed. STAY AWAY!!! The owner of this company is unprofessional and unethical!!! They did not get prior approval to use my property to do the job he sold my neighbor. Instead they banged on multiple doors of my house at 8am, waking me up. Then after pressuring me to agree, they spent 5 hours bringing multiple large and loud machines, making a huge mess. My driveway is left with mud and OIL STAINS. The one thing I asked for in exchange for access to my property was to remove some dead old branches, which he agreed to do. But then he left and didn't follow through with his agreement! SAVE YOURSELF HEADACHE. DO NOT USE THEM. read more

I would recommend A&E Arborists to everyone dealing with any sort of tree business! On 7/2/17 my neighbors massive 60 ft tree fell on the car port of my home resulting in power loss and pretty significant damage. It was a horribly stressful and chaotic time mostly due to lack of communication from my home owners insurance, but Andrew from A&E put my mind at ease and they were out there in no time to remove the tree. They even diagnosed that the neighbors had a remaining tree that was at risk of falling as well. They were able to give the neighbors an estimate and ended up removing it before it could do further damage to my home. They even helped remove the broken car port to free my moms car that was trapped underneath. They really went above and beyond not to mention being around $500 cheaper than I had been quoted from a different arborist.
