They repaired my easy fix, so I give 2 stars, but told me it would be $100 service call or I could sign up for $179 service package they want to lock you into and then come back later and upsell you more costly repairs. He then came back in the house and conveniently changed service call fee from $100 to $165. I've never been quoted a price after work was done and then had it switched. This was only because he thought I would sign up for $179 service nonsense. I'm in sales, I wish I could change my pricing anytime I wanted. Our AC went out on a 100 degree summer day. Since we have American Home Shield I called them first but they could not get anyone out or at least 24-48 hours. Dale is very honest when pin pointing your problem with your unit. My unit was not cooling and I had a tech from another company check my unit and said it was my freon which was not true.Dale came out and found out it was my coil which Lennox is very proud of and is cheaply made and only has a five year warranty.My unit was only 8 years old and did not know if my outside unit would do the same. So we decided to go with replacing it and Dale gave us a good price compared to other company's. I always will call A&D when I have problems and will tell others to go with them. I called A&D today to check on one of my air conditioning units that was not putting out cool air. Given that it was a Sunday afternoon, I was pleasantly shocked when Dale told me he could come to my home within 30 minutes. He was very professional and informative in discussing alternative repair options. I decided to proceed with the option that appeared to be the most cost effective. Called late Saturday because my AC was jacked up. Surprisingly a tech answered, asked about my specific issue, provided a few checks I could perform in the mean time and was able to come out Sunday morning! Not many companies are this good. Y'all should give him as much business as possible. He's a rare breed of integrity I believe. Our AC just went out at 3am and he was at my house diagnosing by 1030am same day. Long story short, any other large company would have convinced me that my 14 year old system needed replacement at up to 8k of cost. He changed what was broke, a fan motor, and advised me on the future of the unit. So he educated me and I made the decision. He's trying to retire and move. His son is in the Navy and wants to go be near his grandkids. I encouraged him to find a good person to hand over his goodwill to. My A/C went out on a day with the temperature over 110 degrees. It was 85 degrees in my house. I called the people that installed our system, but they couldn't come for several days. Dale was very honest about what I needed, I paid a little more than a previous quote from another company but felt very good about the decision after Dale explained everything to me. The quote I received from another company was also for a different brand, so I also wanted to go with Rheem vs. Lennox. Holy cow I cannot say enough good things about this business!!! Our main house unit stopped cooling. I had another group come out and said a leaky coil, and for a 16 SEER mid-range replacement, $8600. Something didn't feel right so I looked I got a trusty neighbor recommendation for a second opinion, and called A&D. Dale (owner) picked up the phone and given the busy HVAC season, I was hoping he would come out the next day...he was at my house in 45 min (before I or my wife got home!). He confirmed the leak in the coil, provided options for fixing, and explained why a 16 SEER wouldn't benefit us over a 14 SEER (our furnace would've had to be replaced, too, as it cannot handle the extra air flow). He put some coolant in our system to help keep our 16 month old baby cool until he came back out 1 day later to replace the system. A new coil and AC Unit (nice 14 SEER Rheem) installed in less than 2 hours, for $3500. AMAZING. I almost wanted him to replace the other unit just because. Seriously. When I asked if I should have him come out to "service" the other unit, he said "Is it cooling?" I said yes, and he said "then you're good...wait 'til it dies. I can make stuff up about it pulling a charge or being off a few degrees, but I can't do anything about it, so why spend it now." I begged him not to quit the business before my other AC unit quits the business, and said I hope to see him back in a few years to replace it. Please give him your business. You will not regret it.
