Absolutely top-notch. I've unfortunately had to have my car towed from my home due to some malfunctioning part or other on a few occasions, but the most recent one deserves the most praise. I called my car manufacturer's support number, and advised them of a problem which had rendered my vehicle inoperable and it would thus need to be flat-bedded 25 miles to the dealership. They promised me that a tow truck would be at my home by 7AM the next day to take my car in, drop it off to the dealership, and put me close enough to work to grab a cab. Recalling my prior good experience with A&B, I ask that it be reserved with them, but am told that no guarantees can be made. 7:15 comes around, and nobody's at my home yet. Not a good sign, so I call the Roadside Assistance group. Oh - the company they'd sent the job to won't get a truck out to me until 8 or 8:30? Even though I got a call at 5:40AM saying it would be there at 7? Very not good. I demand A&B, and within 20 minutes, a big yellow flatbed appears outside my house. Mike and Shawn work together to hook up my vehicle, gently lift her into place, tie her down, and we then proceed to fight the morning commute into Manhattan. Only the best of grace, the greatest of humour, and they were good enough to put up with me being on a videoconference from my laptop for about half the ride. Extra bonus points for Mike patiently waiting the half hour until my dealership could figure out how to deal with a flatbedded vehicle (even though they knew for hours that I was coming in). *facepalm* Great service. I don't know the prices, because I've always had roadside insurance coverage, but I'd happily say that they are completely worth it. read more

I agree with Riccardo. My experience with A&B (unfortunately for me, more than once, but hey, it's a 10 year-old car) has been the best it can possibly be when you're in that situation. The first time I had a dead battery at the RR station. It was 4 degrees out, so promptness was key, because there was no way to get out of the cold. Prompt they were! Very courteous and helpful. Got a jump and took the car to the shop straightway. Today, my starter failed in a shopping center parking lot. I then killed the battery trying to get it to go. The car was pushed out of its space and hooked up and towed to the shop nearby. I was told due to it being an unusually busy day, it would take about 2 hours for A&B to get there. In fact, A&B showed up about 20 minutes later. Best tow service in the Rockaway area. If you have insurance coverage, ask for A&B. They take a bad situation and make you feel better about it. read more

They towed my car when I had a flat and they did $600 worth of damage to my bumper in loading and unloading the car onto the tow truck. I watched as the bumper bent completely upwards when the car was being backed off the truck. Upon closer inspection I saw that there was now a huge crack in the bumper. I showed the man and he chose to argue with me instead of acknowledge responsibility for something that I saw occur with my own eyes. My insurance company is trying to pursue them for the amount of the estimate to repair the car, and of course they are refusing to accept responsibility. They are not to be trusted. read more

Had a driver by the name of Anthony back in about February. another tow truck company was supposed to pick me up 3 hours prior so I was already a little ticked off. These guys came in about 20 minutes after I called my insurance company. This guy had such a great personality, understood my frustrations. He put my car on his flatbed and off we went! I have a great experience with A&B Towing. From the moment I called I spoke to a very friendly person. They told me half hour the tow truck was at my location with in 20 mins. The driver was very polite and courteous. After dropping my car off at the dealership the driver drove me home cause I lived a few blocks away. Very nice people and great service read more
