I explained that my company only issues spare keys in emergency situations and asked if he could continue searching for the missing key. Instead of addressing the issue, he responded dismissively, telling me to stop focusing (dwelling) on the key and implying that if my vehicle had been in an accident, it wouldn't be in the shop. I reiterated that it is the shop's responsibility to keep track of the vehicle key. He then replied, "Well, I won't have it until next week." He then intentionally hung up on me while speaking. Additionally, I was informed that the necessary parts are on backorder, meaning my car will not be repaired anytime soon. Overall, my experience was very unpleasant, and I would strongly advise against using this shop. The owner seemed very prejudiced as well. If you're an organization with a fleet of vehicles. He was told "well, it's supposed to rain tomorrow and I don't feel like getting under the car if it's raining" which I found a bit odd. The following day, the rain stopped at around noon and my boyfriend called to see if he should bring his car in later that evening. They told him "I told you not to bring your car in if it was raining so why did you even bother calling?" We will no longer even attempt to use this place, and will be taking our business to one of the many other mechanics in Madison. I wouldn't even recommend so much as calling this place let alone brining your car in.
