The initial sales, pricing, scheduling, and first part of work were all fine. They came on-time and finished the job on-time pending final city inspection. They asked for payment and I provided and then things unfortunately became very unpredictable. I had to keep calling the office to find out when the inspection was going to be. Then the inspector came but the Handy team did not show up. Also after they finished work I discovered I was missing a set of extension cord! Nothing else was amiss so I think they probably just used it and took it by mistake? The whole billing process was also weird where they never provided me the signed copy of the contract. Now I have 2 large holes and debris piles in my front yard with caution tapes for 2 weeks and counting. I should not have trusted these guys as much I guess, so be forewarned before you go through with these guys. 2 stars so far because I believe the crew's initial job is decent, but the sales and office coordination give me an uneasy feeling. It's too bad because I really wanted to like these guys and thought they did a good job initially. I will have to update this review whenever the inspection occurs.

Ryan was very helpful and recommended another company that could handle the repair. I followed his recommendation, and they were also excellent and were able to repair the issue and replace the broken valve with a new one. Repair consisted of solid piping under a retaining wall, through an area that had to be backfilled to take out a sag in the line, followed by lining approx. 50lf of existing CI piping that would eventually fail given its age. In addition, my wife and I made an unusual request regarding payment. We applied for and were approved to receive a 21-month 0% APR CC with Chase that would allow us to cover the repair interest free. When I explained the situation to the Accounting department, they were kind enough to defer payment until we receive the CC from the bank. All around excellent service during a very trying time. I sent them photos of the area, and they were able to provide me with a quote directly through Yelp. Once I approved the quote, they scheduled the work just a few days later. They came out, located the buried valve, completed the replacement and repair without any problems, and then put everything back exactly as it was.
