He responded quickly whenever we had questions, sent videos showing the day's progress while we were at work, and always made sure we approved important details before moving forward. I had someone on my roof who was screening off areas where critters could access our attic and they told me that flat roof needed to be replaced, sooner than later. I contacted several companies recommended by people on the Nextdoor app. One company came out to give me a quote but never returned my calls. Another company told me they were only doing roof replacements. I appreciated their honesty. I was very specific when I called roofing companies; I didn't need a new roof. One guy came out and told me he could contact my insurance company and tell them my roof had been damaged from a storm. We'd not had any damage to our roof from storms and that's bordering on insurance fraud. I decided to check out Yelp recommendations and saw that Easton had a lot of good reviews. When I called, they were very nice and told me they'd send someone out. The guys from Easton were there on time and they gave me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable so I called to schedule the repair. The workers were very nice, professional, timely and they were there everyday until it was finished. They cleaned up after the repair so I wasn't finding random pieces of roofing material. Everyone, from the woman who answered the phone to the guys who did the repair was very nice and the whole process was seamless. Easton completed the repair and after years of checking ceilings, I can finally relax. Another contractor I'd used to remodel our house often needed access to the roof. I didn't ask him to check the flat roof but while he was up there, he wanted to check it out. He assured me they'd done a very good job and then asked for their info so he'd have the name of a good roofing company if one of his clients was looking to replace their roof. When an outstanding contractor is impressed with the work done by another company and asking for the company's info, that says a lot. We looked at the polymer siding versus the wood, vinyl, and aluminum products on the market. We read customer review after customer review to learn about products, installation methods, and overall company perceptions. When we were done, there was really only one choice, and that was Continental Siding. The polymer siding from Continental is truly a premier product, that is made to stand up to our Midwestern weather. More than anything else though, their installation techniques are what differentiates them from everyone else. From an additional home wrap, to the insulation layer and even the tracks that helps fasten the panels to the home, each step is very well thought out and executed. We were able to watch it happen, and the installation was fantastic! We do not normally do reviews but felt this one was important. Increasing my review from two stars to five, and that's only because six stars aren't an option! Will checked into what had happened with our original quote. Turns out the lack of follow up was due to a bad handoff of info when the estimator who we originally worked with was let go from the company, and our estimate had fallen between the cracks. Will sugarcoated nothing, and was straight with us on what had happened. Not only was he extremely apologetic for the situation, he was extremely determined to show us that our original experience is not what Andersen Contracting is about as a company. Will came out personally to rework the original quote, which we had in a matter of days. He was helpful in assisting us in planning the project, answered all of our questions, and went above and beyond in adjusting the quote as our scope of work evolved. Here's the kicker - over a period of weeks while it took us far, FAR too long to make our final selections and decisions, Will was nothing but patient and helpful... I'm embarrassed to admit he was far MORE patient with us than we were in our first dealings with his company. He checked in periodically to check on status and offer any assistance we might need, but was never pushy or pressuring. Great customer service, and I can't say enough good things about how well we've been treated. I'm pleased to report we've finally made our final selections and are ready to move forward with our project - and that we have now experienced the reasons why Andersen contracting has the stellar reviews they carry here and on other sites. I look forward to reporting back on the finished project and sharing pictures, and I know we're in good hands.
