After having my Google Pixel's battery swapped out with a new one, my phone ran fine. Three weeks later, I woke up one morning to find that my phone would not power on. It was dead. I took it back to the store. I thought that perhaps the new battery may have fried my phone. The person tried basic diagnostics. My phone was dead. He felt that the battery wouldn't have caused this issue. He asked that I leave it there for more tests. Sure enough, a couple of hours later, he declared my phone dead. He couldn't revive it and determined that the motherboard probably needed to be swapped out, which is expensive. He recommended that I contact Google support for next steps. The person that was helping me out refunded me for the complete cost of my phone's new battery. It was a nice gesture. He also wrote an e-mail for me to send to Google support, which indicated that my phone was in pristine condition and that the fault appears to be with the motherboard. Even though my phone went to cell phone heaven, it's nice that this store does everything it can to fix issues and will suggest next steps when it has done everything it can to fix them. (373)

They did honor their warranty within the eligible period. After a year, the same old phone was dead (no power) and had no charging again (partly due to my fault) . Mobile Square was able to fix it at an affordable price while two other companies claimed there were issues with the motherboard. I think you should give this shop a try if you need to repair your mobile phones! I live in Toronto. Don't know why my google account indicates I am in the U.S.!!??

Beware of VERBAL ABUSE!!!…read more I am extremely disappointed by the treatment I received at Mobile Square and I feel other customers should be aware. I first visited the store last week during lunch time because my iPad was experiencing frequent crashing issues. During that visit, one of the technicians was already impatient when I asked questions and tried to get clarification about the problem. Despite the poor attitude, I left my iPad with them for diagnosis, hoping the technical expertise would make up for the customer service. When I picked it up, a different technician explained that the crashing issue had been temporarily resolved and that the underlying problem was a damaged power management IC. I was advised to use an original Apple charger moving forward. After returning home and following those instructions, I discovered that my iPad would not charge, even with an original Apple charger. Concerned that the issue had not actually been resolved, I returned to the store the following week. Unfortunately, that second visit was far worse. A third technician with glasses, who had not been involved in my previous visits, immediately came across as dismissive and unprofessional when I was trying to ask for clarity. While the previous technician was attempting to explain the situation to me, he repeatedly interrupted the conversation and treated me with open hostility. After I confronted with him of his rude behavior and attitudes, he then proceeded to call me a "B!TCH" and even said "F@CK YOU" directly to my face. I was stunned. I came in seeking help with a device and instead was subjected to verbal abuse from a staff member. No customer should ever be spoken to this way under any circumstances. This behavior and attitude were completely unacceptable. Technical issues can happen. Repairs may not always work. All I wanted was clarification to understand the issue better. What customers should be able to expect, however, is professionalism, respect, and basic courtesy. Based on my experience, this business failed on all three. I cannot recommend Mobile Square to anyone. If customer service matters to you, I would strongly consider taking your business elsewhere.

He explained to me that he would call once the phone is unlocked and all I had to do was connect it to iTunes on a computer. The next day the same guy called and told me I had to pay an extra $10 to get it unlocked. I asked why and he said he messed up on the prices. I went down and payed, and waited my time for it to become unlocked. Day 8. Still no call. I called there and a different man answered. He said that night at 8pm it would be unlocked and I would get a call. No call. I called again the next day and then he said 1-3 days. STILL NO CALL. I went down there to get my money back and I see on the wall "no refunds." Great. A different man was there who was older and much more rude. He asked for my receipt, I gave it to him, and he told me "this isn't our location this is Whitby handwriting". I told him I was 100% sure this was the location I came to. He didn't want to deal with me. He called whoever unlocks the phones and when he hung up he's says "it's unlocked why didn't you connect it to the computer." I told him I didn't receive a call and how was I supposed to know when it would be unlocked. Luckily I had my MacBook on me and I connected the phone. I inserted my virgin mobile sim and it worked. I asked the guy to cut my boyfriends wind sim because it was too large for the iPhone 6. He started to do so and it was very worrying... Luckily he finished and he had to actually sand paper it down for it to fit. We popped it in and it finally was working. Do I recommend this place? NO!!!! Never again. Go somewhere else.

Within 15 minutes he was at my door step and within the next 10 minutes my phone was back in working order. "But it's only the on/off switch," I bleated. They claimed it was all one component. (Spoiler alert: bullshit.) Then I contacted CPR. They quoted me less than half. I had to give them half of that ($50) so they would order the part. They kept me apprised every step of the way, and accurately managed my expectations. Then met them. When they received the part, I dropped off my phone. They helped me put it into maintenance mode; so my apps and data were protected. Yay! I got a call when the phone was ready. They took less than the hour and a half they had advised me it might take. I was able to pick it up on my way out for the evening. All in all, a marvellous experience, and a very satisfying resolution to my hardware issue. Highly recommended.
