I dropped my son's backpacks, lunchboxes, and polos to be embroidered with the school logo on 7/16. With previous experience working in an embroidery shop, this process seemed very rushed and not personal at all. Tell them your name, pick between a block or cursive font, and color choice. Didn't ask me about placement, how big I wanted the name, etc. I was told 2-3 weeks turnaround time and that they would call me when it was done. I knew I had plenty of time before the start of school on 8/10. Yesterday was the end of the 3 week mark and I called to get an ETA on when it would be done. The man that answered the phone asked for my information and then came back to tell me it was not ready. I questioned why as this was at the end of the quoted timeframe. He then went into telling me that they embroider for 5 schools and everyone wants their order ready. What does this have to do with me? He also made a sly mark about people waiting until the last minute, which I did not given 2-3 weeks turnaround time would be ready before school. He was incredibly rude, with a smart tone and wouldn't give me any answers. He just kept repeating "we will call you when your order is ready." I asked him if I should call again tomorrow and his response was "no, do not call tomorrow" in a horrible tone. I then asked him if he could look up when I dropped it off, he placed me on hold and after 10 minutes I called back. Seems like he just wanted to get rid of me. A girl answered the phone the 2nd time and was able to tell me it wouldn't be done today, but would be the following day. This is all I was needing was an understanding of when my order would be ready, not to wait for a call!!! I get that they are stressed during a busy season, however as someone who is going off of what I was told and spend $140 I would expect a much higher level of customer service. My husband just picked up the order and the font on the backpack and lunchboxes are LAUGHABLE!!! They are so small, and not at all where I told them to place the names. You can barely see them over the graphics and I pointed to much bigger font size on the paper sheet. The backpack was marked with a piece of tape (not a white pencil) so I'm sure it was ripped off. I'm so very disappointed in this experience and the quality of my order after spending so much money. I've received better from the mall embroiderers! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

Recently, I started to work on a complicated needlepoint canvas that I had bought many years ago. I…read morewas doing it to honor my dear sister, who I lost this year. Susan, the owner of Stitch in time, spent hours over a period of three visits to help me choose just the right colors to bring the woodland creatures to life on canvas. She was meticulous in teaching me how to apply the seed beads to make the berries on the canvas stand out so well. While it was inconvenient to not be able to go inside and choose, Susan and her husband, Greg more than made up for this by their kindness and caring attention. I had bought the canvas at their shop many years ago before I retired. Susan was able to point out the history of the artist and the canvas , of which I had been unaware. This made it really special. I feel so blessed to have Stitch in time shop locally. I could've not gotten this kind of support and help choosing the multitude of colors from a shop online. I also use their service for finishing a floral, needlepoint, frog, and was delighted with the results.. Much thanks and gratitude go to Susan and Greg. Susan's extensive knowledge of her craft was more than helpful.
