He asked me to send him photos of the start knob, which was cracked, along with the dryer model number. He responded almost immediately with his recommendation and shared that I could perform a DIY fix without a service call to fix the issue. In his reply, he sent me a photo of the replacement knob I needed, along with the part number and a vendor that supplied GE OEM products that I could order from directly. He also mentioned that I should be sure to remove the black metal ring inside the broken knob so the replacement knob would fit correctly. With his help, I was able to fix the issue without a service call and install the replacement knob myself. Be aware that Raimond gave me this coaching free of charge during his very busy business day, and I cannot thank him enough for his kind help.
