I had a scheduled maintenance for Monday morning. I was contacted 30 minutes prior to the appointment to be informed the apt would be canceled due to other individuals needing repairs. The woman at the front desk did offer to reschedule for Thursday, but indicated that apt could also be canceled if they had additional a/c repair requests. I communicated the sale of my house was pending this maintenance, but it didn't matter. The woman in the office was extremely difficult to communicate with. I agree that individuals that have broken units need to be serviced, however I've learned that other companies are able to accomidate this demand without disrupting previously scheduled appointments. This company gave me the impression that they are not organized and do not plan as well as their competitors. read more

Even though they were pretty slammed on the schedule with residential work, the Service Manager agreed to have a tech come out and look at the units for our Pastor's office suite and the Chapel area. The dispatcher called to let me know they would be after lunch and the tech (Sammy) came shortly after 1p. He was very professional and knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He had tools and supplies on hand and quickly & methodically diagnosed and addressed our issues. He was also good at explaining what was going on as he went. At the end he created the invoice on a tablet system, took payment by credit card, emailed it right away. Our regular guy had not been able to work us in for several days so it was welcome relief to have them come out quickly and get us going. I can't say enough about them! read more

I contacted A1 and 4 other companies about getting a quote for replacing my upstairs and downstairs units. When Doug came out to inspect my house and give me a quote he said he remembers installing the units for the previous homeowner. He said they would hate to loose my business and to give him the last call if his price was not the best. *This should have been a red flag from the start. You should give your best price from the start not try and under cut your competitors. After not receiving a quote for 4 days, I called and spoke to someone about not receiving it and she said she does not know why Doug had not sent a quote yet but i would receive one by the close of business the next day. Two days later Doug calls and said he spoke to the service manager who "threw his hands on the table" and said they could not install a unit in my house and if they did he would not serve it due to the small access in the bonus room. Doug said they took the eve off the house and placed the upstairs unit in the attic years ago. He said that is not how the unit should have been installed with the only access to service it being in the bonus room. Doug then went into a sales pitch about doing mini splits and that he would come by the next day and do an accurate inspection to see just what it would cost for mini splits. He said he would call me by lunch and set an appointment for the next day. I said ok, and please go ahead and send me the quote for the downstairs unit so I can compare your price to what I have from everyone else. (**Every company got me a quote by the NEXT business day or same day they came out) He NEVER called back to set up an appointment and did not send me the quote for the downstairs unit until a week later. I absolutely would not recommend this company. Out of 5 local companies they are the only one I had any issue with. The other four companies were very professional and responded quickly. It honestly made it hard to pick because they were all close in price. ***An access door was installed to give room to install and remove the unit in the attic like it should have been done years ago when it was first installed. read more

Have used them for years. I have used A-1 Comfort for my heat and air service company of choice for over 10 years now. They started providing great service when I would have to call about the old heat and air system in our home that would go out pretty much every year with something different. Always there when I needed them. When we did some major renovations on our home they sold us our new heat and air unit and installed it very quickly and professionally. Look into their service plans as they are well worth the money. They do yearly checkups and a good many of the small repair parts they use are covered under this plan. I have had several times our HVAC has gone out and there was no charge. Great company and honest professional service. read more

Although I knew they were incredibly busy, they came out within about three hours of calling them with my issue. The technician, David was absolutely great, explained the issue very well, did the needed repair as he had the parts in his truck, and I'm in a cool house once again. Service is this companies game. Call with a problem and it is resolved with 24 hours, usually less. General maintenance of HVAC or gas pack units, to options for replacement, this company looks out for the consumers Best interest. And the techs and owner is honest. read more

I own a Home Club program, which is not a Home Warranty we help assign tech to our members homes and pay at the time of service with a credit card or put the card on file before hand. I called this company to service a member of mine, they accepted the job on 1/21 and then never showed. When I called the office today first the lady on the phone hung up on me without even saying bye and I was still talking, then when I called back she said OH we cant work with you. Be aware now this member has been without heat for 4 days! What kind of company couldn't call me back and advise me that even though the accepted the job they now changed their mind!! If they cant follow up with me and I guarantee payments who knows if they will come to consumers homes on time, beware. read more

well they are not 24/7 I clled at 12;54 and they called back at 7;30 that morning tec looked at it said they would have to order it.I waited until 4;57 called back say what is going on no one has called me then he said he would have his manager then called said he was looking for a cheap one.WHY didn't he call me back u tilAlex called him it is no way to treat people.I see another review she says same thing it must be normal no response,but they took the $120.00 no pro blem at all with that don't waste your time.Hope and pray that you'll improve on consumer service because it sucks now. read more
