I've bought many Appliances from them. Now that it's Royal Green Appliances, it a complete 180!!!! I ordered the A/C over the phone, had it delivered and installed. Only the installation men didn't put the grey insulation in. I had frigget air coming out the bottom and sides of the unit as soon as the weather changed. I called the salesman, Tony Martin, about 3 to 4 times and left messages. He NEVER called back. I finally called again asking for his supervisor. I explained my issue asking that it taken care of right away. Her answer was to put a cover over it. Ok then what's going to happen when the weather changes and I put the A/C on? Now I'm cooling the whole neighborhood! Not too smart. In the end NO ONE CALLED BACK AGAIN. Now I have to wait until a relative comes over to help me fix it properly. You need at least 2 strong persons. This place, Royal Green Appliances, is a nightmare! Don't buy anything from them. It's NOT Mr. Jay's anymore. Lazy, rude, terrible business people. He then went out of his way to squeeze me into his schedule the very next day, which meant a lot because, as anyone with a family knows, you can't go long without a working washing machine! Danny has the experience and knowledge to quickly diagnose problems and get them fixed properly. Just as importantly, he charges fair and reasonable rates. We've continued to use D&M Appliance Repair over the years because we trust Danny's expertise, honesty, and workmanship. It's hard to find someone you can genuinely rely on these days. We agreed to use them because our HVAC system was in dire need of servicing and they had been in our building before, and more than $1200 for two services per year later, all they did was swap out a filter. I was initially agreeable to their pricing structure because I was told that it included repairs beyond regular maintenance, but their technician came today, literally swapped out the filter, and then outlined all of the additional maintenance that was required for additional cost. If I had paid this on a credit card I would be refuting the charge. DO NOT USE.

One of the hardest things to find is someone who can install and repair appliances that is…read morereliable, does a good job, is trustworthy and communicates well. In the local area (I'm in western Nassau County), Steven's Appliance Repair is the only one I know that achieves all of these. I've learned over the years that installation services provided by companies that sell appliances a) try to do the fastest job possible (not the best job as they get paid by how many they do not how well they do them) and b) cannot do anything besides just plug in the appliance (if anything extra is needed, they will not or are not allowed to do it). Therefore, I prefer to hire someone to handle my appliance needs. I called about 10 different places - most were unavailable or unwilling to come to where I live. Steven's called me on the phone quickly and met me the same day. They clearly explained what I would need to complete the installation (including instructions for electrical work needed), purchased the necessary parts and within 2 days the job was all done. Coincidentally, my oven igniter stopped working shortly after this experience and I called Steven's and a day later I had a working oven. I will definitely rely on this business for all of my future appliance needs.
