The food was excellent! The young lady who helped us was so nice and patient! She explained how each dishes were prices and what some things were called. Because of her, I learned the proper name for Spanish rice. It was very reasonably priced, too. The large rice was only $8!! My husband and I ate that for two days, lol. They had many vietnamese items, compared to my Asian stores nearby. The seafood and meat section was good size and organized. I only got a glimpse of the vegetable and fruits section, but it seems ok for quick runs when you forgot something. The cashier was nice and caring. One of our food boxes fell inside the bag, and he straightened it out. That was such a small gesture, but it showed how much he really cared for his customers! I will be returning for their food. The fried chicken was so good and the rice alone too!

Made a visit to the Tewksbury location (due to the great Stoneham location no longer in business)…read more Business location is hard to find as it's located on the backside of a row of storefronts. Walked in on a Thursday afternoon and was the only customer there. Looked for their famous Caribelo wings but there was only one package left. Bummer. All the other wing styles had plenty. Got tips and potatoes. Why three stars? We know the Caribelo wings are the most popular yet they either didn't stock correctly or someone bought extreme amounts of these. Secondly, the employees don't really seemed to be enthusiastic about being there. No can I help you, no interaction. Maybe it's the location ? Kind of out of the way. My advice, move to the rt 38 side or maybe closer to the brewery. Your beer drinkers are bbq guys.... As a frequent visitor of the Stoneham store, that location had a lot of foot traffic, visibility and across from a liquor store so one stop shopping once you park. Also the employees there were always helpful, motivated and knowledgeable . I'm hopeful that they stick around as their meats are flavorful and tasty.

Women behind register stated she is the one who puts the amount on the card when bought. So either the women never placed the amount on gift card, or the VFW who gave gift card as a raffle gift to seniors may have used the card for themselves and then gave as a gift raffle. Ethier way, I made some contacts to have this investigated. Im sure we are not the only ones being scamed.

Three tables for 2 inside and a bunch more outside. -- Cinnamon Bun: Don't just go by my photo; check out their social media for the full experience. It's thin and a little bit basic underneath, but that warm and gooey white glaze is magical. Fortunately for me (and unfortunately for my tailor), they don't open earlier, or I'd have these more often. -- Coffee: Respectable. Certainly much better than what you'd expect at a market. -- Salmon Bowl: My wife and I both tried one, and we both vowed we would be back. Beautifully cooked salmon, still very warm in the case, and crisp outside and very moist and tender inside. Nicely seasoned as well. -- Farro (base for my wife's bowl): She was very happy with it. -- Potatoes (base for my bowl): A handful of small potatoes, crisp on the outside, very fluffy inside, and mostly seasoned with salt and herbs. -- Broccoli: Little mini trees, connected, slightly charred, and garlicky. Warm and cooked enough to not be raw, but not enough to not be somewhat stiff. -- Rainbow Carrots: Cooked a little more than the broccoli, a little more charred (nice), a little more seasoned (Indian spices), and moist both inside and out. Superb. Comparisons with Nan's are inevitable. -- Protein: Nan's better for quantity, SSG better for quality. -- Sides: Nan's better for quality, SSG better for quantity. -- Value: SSG gets the slight edge initially, but when you factor in that, they never make the slightest attempt at a tip (it's a market, not a restaurant, even though they provide seats and cutlery), SSG gets the huge edge.
